I was still in ARR when Footfalls dropped, so I got to have the opposite experience - recognizing each segment of the song as a milestone along the way, from the beginning until the very end.

When I started ff14 and was helping a bar owner drum up business I didn't ever once think that I'd be debating the merits of existing in spite of the knowledge of the futility of living with the ghosts of a once immortal race and fight a being capable of causing the entropic death of the universe on the back of my dragon formed stalker boyfriend but holy shit was it a hell of a ride.
Oh yes... "Close in the Distance" is such an emotional critical hit... even months after release... Soken is such a genius - thanks for enjoying the Mix Kaitlyn =)

Endwalker has to be my absolute favorite expansion BY FAR. Cause holy SHIT IS IT SO DAMN GOOD. Not just the story or the music, but also because of its message.
1:20:14 I swear, ffxiv is the only story that has ever made me emotional by showing me a man drinking a cup of hot Coco. That cutscene hit me so hard when I first watched it since I could absolutely understand what was going through his head from beginning to end, to the point where I ended up saying out loud "they better not kill jullus off I swear to God." And then Anima roared immediately after I said that and he almost got tempered and I was thinking "oh, that's worse actually."

Currently listening to this while I rush the final project for my comp systems class. I have raging adhd and this is actually really helping me since I usually afk in game but I don't want to get distracted so I'm not logged in. It got rid of the silence in my room and it's just really nice to hear the music again without the distraction. I'm really getting emotional hearing Endwalker OST. Heavensward and the others are good too but the flow, footfalls, close in the distance, answers, dynamis ohh everythiiinggg. I love every seconds of each song without noticing your tears are falling. Thank you for compiling them up.

The Watcher makes me so sad. Sometimes I go and sit near him, even now. Just to keep him company. I talk to him every time something big happens in the story, just to see if he has new dialogue. It's updated a couple times through the story until the end of Endwalker.
The last zone's song always gets me x.x loved playing this game and can't believe I have been here only a year come july. I am so happy to have found an mmorpg that is awesome and with a wonderful community. May you all forever walk in the light of the crystal. 🖤💚🖤

1:38:56 FFXIV may not be the most heartwarming game ever, but with the amount of themes, stories and characters, its heartwarming moments feel EARNED and because of that, they hit SO MUCH HARDER. This game is amazing.

I remember when 'With Hearts Aligned' first played during my playthrough. I was trying my best not to die or do anything stupid, as I play a tank :D But I knew how much joy they were going for when making this track. Felt really pumped and full of happiness.

In that fly by of Ultima Thule, it made me think of something in regards to FFXIV. Alot of people will recommend the game for the story. Surely that is a notable feature, though on top of that, I also felt like I was a part of shaping the world as I journeyed through it. I believe that has left the biggest impression on me in regards to the game.

I took a break from FFXIV a year ago after two months of playing Endwalker and this is still my default productivity soundtrack.

kairos scene is just memorable. The moment the researcher talks bout Kairos i already foresee the twist but still, the actual event still so good.
The bits and bobs of a Final Fantasy game will often times hit each of us differently. But until now, Heavensward will always be my fave Expac.
