Pre 1965 war. Oct. 1964, recently anointed Indian PM Shastri with severe health issues makes a stop after NAM summit, Cairo at then Pakistan capital of Karachi. Gen. Ayub Khan himself goes to greet the new India PM and then also does see him off. Very rare for Pakistani head of state. Pakistan desired some movement on Kashmir after Nehru death but things became more complex leading to 65 war. Situation continues to this day
