Nawaz Sharif himself is creation of fundamentalists who hijacked our country in the 80s. People respected Pakistan in the 60s because it was a secular country with religious freedom and tolerance. During Ayub Khan's era Pakistan became fastest growing economy in the world. Today India is world's fastest growing economy and its growth rate is 7.5% followed by UK. Turkey is most progressive Muslim country and its growth rate is 6.3%. Pakistan's growth rate during Ayub Khan's era was 10.44%. The world saw huge opportunities inside Pakistan. Visiting professor of Harvard university called Pakistan "California of Asia".
Western tourists used to visit our country. English women used to take sun bathe on beaches of Karachi without the fear of being butchered by the mullahs. That was our Pakistan, a progressive country which even gave loans to Germany to build its cities. Today we beg from IMF and there is lack of tolerance. Women are treated like shit, and minorities are not protected. If you want to see Pakistan become a great nation, we will have to get rid of fundamentalists. We will have to separate religion from politics and completely revamp our education system and promote Sufism instead of Saudi sponsored Wahhabism.

In fact most of the “mujahid” kids sent in from Azad Kashmir couldn’t even speak Kashmiri, they spoke a dialect of Punjabi called mirpuri. The Kashmiris instantly informed authorities and the plan failed. The war crashed the economy of Pak and he was ousted and died lonely and depressed. Military dictators are not good leaders.

The so called "Dictators" of Pakistan were gentlemen. You cannot imagine how brutal a martial law has been in countries of Middle East and Africa specially. They literally wiped out all opposite forces during the coup. Pakistani generals did nothing compared to them... Not a single bullet shot.
