It was my understanding that increasing skill power does NOT increase skill damage like in Div 1, it only allows you to mod your skills, and by modding your skills it then allows you to increase damage or skill radius or whatever you want to mod..but yes its broken in the way that the skill power requirement is far too high for mods, but skilling into skill power will not automatically increase skill damage
@@ZielekTV Lol no they said the error was that the skill power requirements for the mods are way too high and they're going to lower it. If this is what you meant you were not clear at all as somebody had to ask what was confirmed.

The fix is for skill mods, as there skill power requirements are to high (they are supposed to be lower) Skill power isn't for skills directly. Its the stat to determine what mods you can equip on your skills. @@arcalas

Skill power isn't intended to scale the damage or health, etc of skills, it's only meant to allow you to equip powerful mods to your skills that then boost your skills values.
@@WotsOnSecond It's skill power. Not skill Damage. The name is fine. They have other things with damage in the title that tells you it's boosting damage. It's not the devs fault that some people are just idiots that can't tell the difference.
@@ArchAngelKnights no he's right Joe or more specifically Del is wrong... There are issues with the skills system but not the way Del described. Del didn't understand it and was bitching about it when he was wrong.
Does Del not realize that Skill Power is used only for the mods for the skills and not the skills themselves? otherwise we'd have a case where players run around with One Shot Grenade Launchers or Sniper Turrets.
People told him this on twitter when he whined about it there, and he is still whining about it in the review. Fucking lol xD. Wonder how much more of what he said is bs, you can't take anything he says serious now.
Dominic Commisso I hate Division, but yeah, it's still way better in its entirety. The fact that you can actually get outfits from actual content is a big plus. Meanwhile Anthem either wants 8.50 for some meh armour(regardless of whether or not it's 4 or only 3 pieces), forcing a prior ten dollar purchase for "premium currency", or being forced into grinding nonsense for weeks in order to afford the EXCESSIVE 61k coin requirement when weekly challenges are only like 2k, meaning you can get a little around 12k+ if you no life the game for an entire week, longer if you don't. In a third person game with customization, having that shit locked behind excessive as hell costs or real money onctop of a full priced game is absolute bullshit. Getting to get stuff from regular content is not unreasonable, and I'm glad at least this game understands that.
About the skill power issue, the devs are aware of that already. It doesn't scale the damage of skills but it unlocks skill mods. The issue is that the requirements are too high and the skill mods are not that powerful. I hope they fix that properly.
i was going to write this exact thing, the skill power is used to add mods that improve the skills but yeah like you said the power requirements are over kill atm. Although i think when they tweak it will make more sense to people.
Didn't this same exact BS happen in the first one where skill power was useless unless you had an exact cookie cutter build with all the right gear? Wheras offensive gun builds could just yolo forever?
Yeah but I personally expected it to and honestly even if it's for the mods I feel it should effect the damage and cool down of not just a bit. I mean some of those cool downs are just crazy long.
@@enkiduduenkidudu7950 yeah but having a crazy high skill power should still have some effect on the cool down of your skills like I said even if it's just a little.
It is not that they don't understand it is the fact that making skill builds is pointless. No added damage other than mods that slightly increase some stats. To use the mods and stat upgrade you need to forfiet more valuable stats, like doing any damage or having any damage reduction in comparison to other players not wanting to use skill builds.
I have put a lot of time into this game , and I kind of feel empty. It's not a bad game but at the same time I don't get really excited or motivated to play it.
So it’s a bad game if a game can’t keep you interested even after months or years it’s bad I can play all the yakuza game 20 times and still interested in what they have to offer
Just an FYI for accuracy. Skill power not scaling skills is intended. It is busted right now, but for another reason. You need skill power for kill mods to work, they increase duration and damage and such. But, the require way too much as a bug which they are working on. Is it bugged and making skill power useless, yes, but not for the reason you are stating.
@@swinganamiss1194 the issue is that early level gear makes it almost impossible to actually equip skill mods due to the insanely high requirements. It took me until level 20 to even have the necessary power level to equip a level 10 mod.
So. Are skills still supposed to be weak like shown in the video? Or would they be stronger due to you being able to get stronger kill mods for less skill power? Just curious.
@@TakarieZan The mods give % increases to duration, radius, damage, regeneration, etc. To put these mods on your skills you need skill power, but that aspect is bugged where the skill power requirements are too high. Del thought that skill power translated to increased base damage of the actual skill, whereas it actually allows you to put mods on to give the abilities increased power.
Critical Nobody No cause we should just let EA go bankrupt so they don’t ruin the gaming community with more cheap ways to squeeze money out of players.
great review. i should clarify though that skill power is not meant to increase skill damage directly. it allows you to use mods on your skills that require more skill power the more powerful the mod and those will increase things like damage radius cooldown and charges etc.
In all fairness though it shouldn't be like that. Losing stats on your gear for mods on your skills isn't a good trade off. 7% more damage or 20% duration is no substitute for dmg, crit chance or even just extra armor. Plus some mods are just plain bugged. I had a chem launcher mod that was supposed to +2 ammo but it didn't work. At all

I got this game recently and as an Arlingtonian who once worked in D.C. I got to say what an amazing job to not only capture the area from the basic map but also show very similar buildings and even the one I use to be in and their substitutes are fitting to the real locations. Honestly Ubisoft has done an incredible job at that but if there is any criticism I have it’s that I tend to have motion sickness and get tired of looking at the game mainly because it’s so washed out and looks kinda ugly. I’m playing it on the pro so maybe that’s why?
Uhhh skill power is not supposed to scale your skill damage you know. It iwas in one of the State of the Game videos. They said specifically they did this on purpose. Skill power is like the amount of batteries you have to power your mods. It does not scale anything.
Aldon Tom so in conclusion, skill power builds are now useless. RIP 1 shot sticky bombs. The skills really don’t feel cool in this game, so why even use them lol

Same here, that's why i cringed hard af when he said Division 1 had no atmosphere. LOL. He honestly needs to spend more time on these games before he reviews them.
The endgame isnt bugged, the black tusk only exist when there is invaded sections, once those are cleared they are removed and the older factions take control. once World Tier 5 releases on april 5th the black tusk will then begin to invade the map every week on new and old missions. also i dont think you mentioned it much but Conflict is a standalone PvP mode in The Division 2. which adds a more grounded PvP element to the game outside of the darkzone. which the darkzone is more about gear, hence why you are melting people, they dont have good gear. id rate the game a 8/10, but i just felt like you missed a few things, or you didnt understand a few things here joe. but i cant blame you since the game does a poor job of explaining it to you
The clip in the review of the sniper one shotting everyone who walks by, is from Conflict. Gear normalization works the same way in the DZ (except invaded) and Conflict.
They probably played like 12 hours of this game, it's not the first AJ has stated flat out incorrect things about a game because they haven't played it long enough to know better. Having two separate DZs for example, one regulated and one non-regulated, have been in the game since Day 1.
@No Thanks I think youre spot on, i will say in AJ's defense that I suspect he simply has too much to do to spend the required amount of time to get a grasp of it all.I mostly watch these reviews for entertainment rather than getting an actual idea of the game,I go elsewhere for proper reviews. Ive not reached end-game yet(im L28) but having an absolute blast, no issues myself on xbox1x, i think crashed once.I have no idea time played, id say maybe 40 hours. This games an easy 8/10.
Skillpower in Div2 does NOT increase skill damage/heal directly. It's not designed to. Instead, skillpower allows you to put better mods in skills that boost skill damage/heal. Did you upgrade to higher tier mods with your skill builds?
Yeah this is a prime example, some of the problems they talked about theyre actually misinformed about. The Black Tusk isnt supposed to come back until after Tidal Basin. You cant just stack "red stats" and win. And the point you made.
yeah my chem healer will heal my armor around 80% of the way now with the heal mod I added to it. So its all about mods the base amounts don't change, I need a drone mod because its crap right now
@@TheBookerDeWitt Exactly, this fucks me up so badly about AJ reviews, when there's a big game that has alot of content they always seem to get so much wrong. There's not just 1 viable build for pvp just because they saw MarcoStyle's video, The story isn't shallow just because they had to "navigate 3 menues" and the game ISNT FUCKING bugged because they can't figure out the mechanics.
That cut & paste statement about the game modes just show that they know jacked shit about development. D2 had all of the core functionalities rewritten from the ground up. Cutting and pasting simply isn’t an option.

@@R3TR0J4N Not at all. The game tells you that it takes place 7 months after the outbreak happened in the beginning, and for the most part keeps it contained to just DC. There are audio logs that reference the first game, but nothing that would confuse a new player.
Skill power DOES NOT WORK THE SAME AS IT DID IN DIVISION 1. Skill power is used as a threshold to unlock the mods for use NOT to directly boost/scale stats.
Dood this idiots in this channel honestly have no idea what they are talking about all they do is complain about eveything in every game it could be be a perfect game and they would find a way complain about eveything in it
I like your idea, however the idea is that these reviews are usually for when the game launches, so they nobody says the usual spiel about " it'll get better with patches" and if they do that for one, a lit will expect it again and again.
your using skill power wrong!!! it works whit the mods for abilities, you increment the skill power so you can use the mod, and the mods are waaaay to powerful
Is that why I can’t use any of those skill mods while leveling through the story? I’m at lvl 22, and the mods have like 4-500 skill requirements for them, I think u have around 150 sp lol
Right? I lol when they commented that skill power is not working properly. You need the skill power to modded the skill for extra damage or other stats dude.
Basically no. You can solo it but it should be somewhat challenging, it definitely wouldn't be a cake walk without some thinking or strategy. The game is build around efficiency of combat in tactical squads.
I like these. Could you make sure to mute the background chatter while you're talking though? It sounds like I've got a second video running in another tab. :')
The Division 1 had such an amazing atmosphere and ambiance, loved the snowy vibe and exploring the actually interesting story. 2 is just so bland and meh.
I got so sick of the first one because there was no change in scenery. Everywhere in the game felt the same. I like in this one how the environment changes. Different areas are just concrete cities, other are grassy and foresty, and when it rains it gets very hard to see. I like it visually much more than 1
Skillpower only activates mods, they've said since the beginning of the game that skill power doesn't scale damage for balancing reasons. Do a bit of research please

And I love it.

Actully everything is the way its supposed to be for skill makes building your build makes you think about it.
@@swinganamiss1194 the issue is that early level gear makes it almost impossible to actually equip skill mods due to the insanely high requirements. It took me until level 20 to even have the necessary power level to equip a level 10 mod.

also the new skill system makes most of your skills useful even you didnt stuck skill power, unlike division 1.

In all fairness though it shouldn't be like that. @@R3TR0J4N I mean, The russians are the reason this outbreak happened.
@@cloud154532 do i need to play the divison to play 2?
@@R3TR0J4N Not at all. The game tells you that it takes place 7 months after the outbreak happened in the beginning, and for the most part keeps it contained to just DC. There are audio logs that reference the first game, but nothing that would confuse a new player.
@@cloud154532 thanks, be grabbing one next week
Skill power DOES NOT WORK THE SAME AS IT DID IN DIVISION 1. Skill power is used as a threshold to unlock the mods for use NOT to directly boost/scale stats.
I Think Dale's only purpose is to bitch about scalling and unbalance, even when there aren't any
KobiCool he’s a fat fuck neckbeard of course he’ll be pissed off all the time.
He stinks and I don’t like him.
@@jeeteebee1111 What does that have to do with anything? Also, full beards are now neckbeards I guess.
@@jeeteebee1111 calm down lil jimmy
Dood this idiots in this channel honestly have no idea what they are talking about all they do is complain about eveything in every game it could be be a perfect game and they would find a way complain about eveything in it
I would really love an updated review of some sort to see how the game is 5 months in after patches and what not because I am tempted to pick it up.
Guillermo Troisi yeah, Massive acknowledged that the high mod requirements are bugged and will fix ‘em.
Is that why I can’t use any of those skill mods while leveling through the story? I’m at lvl 22, and the mods have like 4-500 skill requirements for them, I think u have around 150 sp lol
I'm at 30 and even with loading skill power I can't get close to activating my high-end mods
Right? I lol when they commented that skill power is not working properly. You need the skill power to modded the skill for extra damage or other stats dude.
@@jeeteebee1111 yeah bug cuz they ask to much, no because skill power don't work like they say in the video
Hey Joe! You lost some weight, lookin' good!
Googler B what?
So basically this game is made for one person.
Preston Garvy
Basically no. You can solo it but it should be somewhat challenging, it definitely wouldn't be a cake walk without some thinking or strategy. The game is build around efficiency of combat in tactical squads.
@@SDM3791 ehhh sounds lame
By the way, another settlement needs our help. Here I'll mark it on your map.
@@SDM3791 i can't take a "tactical" game where enemies wearing tshirts can literally withstand a whole boxmag of a lmg seriously.
No this guy doesn't know dick about the game
Really disappointed this review didnt start with "Hey Joe, wanna steal the Declaration of Independence?"
I appreciate the reviews joe awesome as always but I prefer the ones where you stand up because it feels more like an angry review
I want a hat Joe
Got too much guns
Lithus17 what about air soft guns
Play TF2
Armored mecha I did, n I uploaded it
Lithus17 what about a nerf gun?
I like these. Could you make sure to mute the background chatter while you're talking though? It sounds like I've got a second video running in another tab. :')
The Division 1 had such an amazing atmosphere and ambiance, loved the snowy vibe and exploring the actually interesting story. 2 is just so bland and meh.
I got so sick of the first one because there was no change in scenery. Everywhere in the game felt the same. I like in this one how the environment changes. Different areas are just concrete cities, other are grassy and foresty, and when it rains it gets very hard to see. I like it visually much more than 1
ahuahuahuahuahuaa
lol.
@@Sickwitit18 That's New York for you, lol.
The 1st one was garbage the sequel is way better
We need a Judge Dredd game with Karl Urban!
The Closest thing to that right now is cyberpunk 2077
Play Judge Dredd Vs Death on PC. Also, Ruiner is pretty close.
Alan Garcia ayy Ruiner is the shit! Awesome game! But ye it brings up some Judge Dredd vibes
Dredd the forgotten hero that the world needs.
Skillpower only activates mods, they've said since the beginning of the game that skill power doesn't scale damage for balancing reasons. Do a bit of research please
EXACTLY. The politics doesn't have to be REAL in the game. That's where the Clancy licence is for.
Gosh. This world looks alive like the Anthem E3 bullshot gameplay demo
This game is amazing. It doesn't get political at all with the modern BS. The setting is nearly perfect. The devs did a fantastic job here. Would recommend playing this game
Yea it would be cool if it actually got political even in a fictional sense. It would make it actually compelling story wise.
Yeesh, the audio volume disparity between your footage chat and your round table is crazy.
He should have increased it a little bit then compressed it.

Kelso: You know what to do
Me: *Leaving cause I know what to do*
Kelso: Just so we're really on the same page you know I meant, kill them all right?
Me: *facepalm*
In case it wasn't covered in the "you know what to do."
Yo I feel this comment😂 She irked me when she said that.
This game really makes you feel like The Division 2.
What
Dunkey!
This format really is so different from the regular Angry Reviews that I feel they should have their own name, like the Rapid Fire Reviews.
'Analyzing, with joe'
32:20 Oh my gosh I love judge dred so much and I loved the movies with Sylvester Stallone and Karl Urban and that parody was just freaking awesome. Also the idea to incorporate Judge dred into a video game via a special event or mod is just awesome. Honestly there should be a good video game developer out there who takes the idea you pitched Joe and just go balls to the wall insane and make a gory, gritty but fun open world judge dred game with looter shooter style mechanics and have enemies, gear, locations and weapons unique the judge dred universe. Hell maybe even just make it into a first person shooter game at that and go crazy.
The only game franchise I've ever played that sort of been able to scratch that itch of being a badass cop of the law like judge dred for me is the crackdown games although it's never been as intense or gory like judge dred. Still the crackdown games are similar to a degree in concept in it's own unique right and a decent amount of fun. I just hope I can get that wish someday because that is a kick ass idea joe. 10/10 ship it.
