Dude, if you're driving a Kia / Hyundai, you definitely want someone to steal it. 😆 The RAV4 is not worried about any so-called competition. The main reason RAV4s fails to make it past 400K miles is because someone will total it out first. Mechanically, they are the GOAT.
No, the RAV4 is not in trouble, I would pick the RAV4 a million times before I even looked at the competition. Nothing wrong with the rear tail lights, the angular sharp lines look great. Interior is roomy and spacious. Motor has enough power and torque. The only thing I hate is the Auto Start Stop.
roomy and spacious? are you driving the rav4 the opposite way? theres barely any accessible storage space in the front unless you like reaching over to the glovebox.
New rav expected 2025.... ice may or may not be available. Korean cars are flashier not the same reliability and dealers/service is questionable so warranty imo is a marketing ploy.
I wanted the reliability of RAV4, but the ability of a Forester Wilderness. It sucks that I couldn’t have both. I could get a 4Runner but that’s in a totally different class.
You should really have considered the 2024 Mazda CX5. I just got rid of my RAV4 that I’ve had for 2 years. Interior quality and ride and reputation doesn’t disappoint!
All I can say is Rob is RAV4 sold 124,000 units in the first quarter of this year up 65% from last year. That’s almost 500,000 a year selling pace nothing touches that other than a certain model Tesla and a Ford F series. So the proof is in the numbers until new ones come out so I don’t know where you’re coming from lol
Good stuff Rob. I gotta say that the perspective from the inside of the RAV looks cool in this video. That right rear window in particularly looks nice! I think you're right with the 'bling it up' observation .... more so on the outside though for me. The Camry looks super cool on the outside. If they could bring some of the Camry style to the RAV I think it would be awesome. Keep up the content. I migrated to the RAV content after following you on the Tacoma. My RAV4 is a 1995 Japanese import with right hand steering! peace .... bugs
In the Tucson area RAV 4’s are very very common to see all over here. I don’t see any fall offs in popularity honestly. The biggest concern for me with Kia and Hyundai are their turbo 4 engines, which don’t inspire much confidence in their reliability
I had many cars in my life including Germany cars and I can say that. yes I'm agree with you that Toyota Rav4 need to be redesign in and out for sure. but my friend when is coming to reliable car and value, Toyota will be on the top and will be there for you. comparing to KIA/HYUNDAI, American cars and very expensive German cars that getting mechanical problems all the time.
The Kia and Hyundai offer a good warranty which comes at a price, the maintenance of the car costs a fortune, the mechanical parts are of such poor quality that increased maintenance is required, not to mention the engines which click and make a hellish noise. after 5 years or 6 years.
You know the 4Runner right now as old as dirt and they can’t make enough of them so that may be an exception to the rule on outdated vehicles but the RAV4 right now is scorching sales… they can’t make enough of them right now
Hundai and kia also has that gdi engines 1.6 turbos 2.5 gdi those are puuureee garbage bad engines ..this is from my experience and lots of other people I drive around 100 000 miles a year that's why I bought 2024 rav 4 xle
Plus in those hundai and kia you don't wanna go broke and something those computer toys nice dash boards because their parts are very very expensive and sometimes you can find
Yes kias and hundai Is a much better look design more comfortable and the only thing with hundai and kia can explode edge on the middle of driving on hwy or street also big problem with loosing oil engine on the middle of road engine shots down happen to and lots of people
If you guys wanna buy toyotas 2023 is the last year of good toyotas because the new ones are coming with 2.4 turbo which is big problem unless you get hibryd which is very good
Yes you right toyota and rav 4 are old fashion design old but remember their engines don't explode in the middle of driving it's all about boolet proof quality engines they less 300000 miles plus thank you
I think Toyota is fine with it, because it's kind of a dumb name, and they have the Corolla Cross and Corolla Hatchback eating its lunch on one side, and the Highlander and Grand Highlander and the Sequoia eating its lunch on the other. They'll probably keep it til sales drop, then toss it out unceremoniously.
Try going with German cars like Audi or BMW to your dealership or your mechanic..... it's start like that. Sir I have a good news and bad news for you.... keep your Toyota you will tank me later. 😂😂
Just like the 23 tacoma last year, the 24 rav4 is getting hit with the, “this generation is getting old, and needs upgrading.” I’m glad that I don’t have to worry about the “1st model year of a new redesign”, my 24 xle seems completely solid. The 2025 rav4, if redesigned, will have people holding off from buying, waiting for possible bugs to be worked out. Look at what is going on with the new Tacoma, yeah, it’s new and improved, but lots of unhappiness about the lack of a v6, a piller handles, no power driver seat in models that used to have it, same with the rear window, and of course, the outrageous price increases of the new models.

Not a fan of the CX5.

People are saying the same about the new Tacoma…
I feel thy same tbh i want the RAV4 to look more modern since here im Norway the RAV4 cost about 68k $ it even cost more than a BMW x2 so yes
Been driving Toyota a long long time and never an issue. Others may be flashy but i will stick with what has always worked for me.
Same here. Been driving Toyotas for years!!
Good stuff Rob. I gotta say that the perspective from the inside of the RAV looks cool in this video. That right rear window in particularly looks nice!

Aloha Rob. The RAV4 holds its value and longevity pretty well against the other competitors. You're in good shape with your new RAV4.
You know the 4Runner right now as old as dirt and they can’t make enough of them so that may be an exception to the rule on outdated vehicles but the RAV4 right now is scorching sales… they can’t make enough of them right now

You probably got rid of the Santa Cruz at the right time, I've heard those models have been notorious for major transmission issues.
I’ve heard😬
Plus in those hundai and kia you don't wanna go broke and something those computer toys nice dash boards because their parts are very very expensive and sometimes you can find
Reliable and quality and don’t care what it looks like.
Not me! I’ve got to like the looks first off.
@@robmotivetoo I have every confidence as you mature Rob you will grow past that 😂

Yes again toyota is bad old fashion design I agree specialy inside but I'll take that for toyota quality engines and transmission
