Though I no longer enjoy Bon Jovi's music, post 1991, I really admire Tico, actually more as an artist and singer than his drumming. I hope people know that he's an even more gifted artist than a drummer. A true talent.

I have a Tico story. This has to do with music, not golf. 1984. Cumberland County Civic Center. Portland, Maine. Bon Jovi was opening for the Scorpions on their Love At First Sting tour. While Bon Jovi were playing, the back line crew for the Scorpions were messing around with the PA system and the power cut out. Bon Jovi yells out “ drum solo!” and Tico roars right into an unmiked drum solo. He had to hit as hard as he could because the drums were not coming through the PA. It was great!

Tico has been smashing skins for so long. He hits so hard, and at his age now, it amazes me his joints are still healthy. Love his calm mature outlook on life and reality. Best drummer to ever come out of the Garden State, and I think top 10 easily in the world at his level
