Awesome interview! Thanks for talking about America’s Volume Dealer, that’s my favorite Corrosion album. As a guitar player it was interesting to hear about its recording. Thanks again!
Thanks, man! So glad you enjoyed it! It's a great album -- and the story behind the recording of it, as you indicated, was a really interesting one! Thank you for listening.
I saw CoC in this po-dunk hole in Wisconsin. Only a couple hundred people there. It would been so easy for CoC to play half heartedly but they played perfectly. Spot on. Total professionals and they killed it.
Yeah man first time I heard C.O.C. was when they toured with Metallica and I was a fan from the jump. They played a killer set and had a huge sound. Pepper is a living legend for sure.
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle - I agree radio would help with a band's exposure. But what usually happens when bands get mainstream exposure? Their quality in music goes down. The record companies push for a more commercial sound. It ushers in an audience that has no clue about the band other than the radio hits. Down isn't a band made for radio, maybe a song or two. COC - America's Volume Dealer could have produced some radio hits but it was during the height of nu-metal. Radio and MTV only wanted bands with baggy jeans and fitted MLB hats. That bullcrap sound. Tough times.
I've often wondered why I liked the songs on Americas Volume Dealer, but found the sound/production lifeless. Hearing Pepper explain the 100% Pro Tools thing makes absolute sense now. I think they really lost something by not recording analogue, but I guess we'll never know.
Pepper is the best, such an underrated guitar player and musician
Yep he has always been my favorite since Deliverance. Awesome guy to I have hung out with him and he is down to earth .
He’s one of the greatest blues/metal guitarists in metal,if not the best in that style. Such a great vocalist/lyricist as well
To this day I still listen to Deliverance & America's Volume Dealer weekly. I Fuk'n ❤️ C.O.C.

This might be the best interview I've heard with Pepper. Wiseblood is my favorite COC.
Same for me.
Pepper is the man!

Coolest musician I’ve ever met , n I’ve met plenty. 🤘🏼🤟🏼
I dont know why they would coc is FUKIN BADASS
Now i know why i dont like the production on Americas volume dealer. Great interview man
A.V.D. is a masterpiece.
Deliverance and Wiseblood are to..Every album by COC is awesome.
C.O.C. and DOWN two bands failed by rock fans, A league caliber bands
@Life Is Peachy
They are both successful bands with great songs.
C.O.C and DOWN both have their fanbase. They don't need FM radio or mainstream exposure to earn respect.
@@butchvito radio helps....let's just be real that is how a band grows a fanbase or word of mouth

this is kind of a dumb comment, i mean they have a solid fan base but its like a cult following doesnt mean they're gunna do Ford commercials
