Just wanna quickly address the whole PR controversy thing:
Basically, the DZ4 is very genre dependent. Mike and HBB is right that it struggles with busier stuff like rock and metal, and I agree as I did mention it struggles with busier music as well in the DZ4 review. However, the tuning is well done for vocals/ballads and slower/simpler tracks. My opinion of them hasn't changed because PRs are usually used for bass which is less affected in those genres I mentioned that the DZ4 is targeting (ballads/acoustics). And I do enjoy the reverb effect it has with vocals (which was a complaint) as well as scaling super well with volume. So, the DZ4 pretty much goes from meh to amazing depending on the volume and song. Again, it's a niche set targeting vocals/scaling. Please adjust your expectations and understand what you're getting yourself into!

Honest audiophile really likes it. It seems to be getting mixed reviews though. I don’t think it’s getting bad reviews, just that it’s more of the same?
In no world would i describe the olina se as smooth because the upper mids at least for me are unacceptably loud. Makes enjoying other parts of the frequency difficult.
Which is a good upgrade for the T3+ with less sub bass and better sound separation: Kailua, Olina SE or EA500? Thanks

The $100 benchmark is the DT200, don't @ me. Best sounding midrange that competes with kilobuck iems (just not a lot of bass and treble)
