What draw me to Hilti was the quality put into their tools. They look great and feel even better. I will say I was disappointed with the SID 6-22 specs and it’s performance. Don’t get me wrong it’s a wonderful impact, but no way it has the torque ratings they claimed. It should be neck and neck at least with the milwaukee Gen 3 or 4. When I made the switch years ago, the previous Hilti 22 volt have proved great(besides the brushed hammer drill) wasn’t a fan of that drill but the upgraded one is a beast. I have had zero problems with any of cordless as well as the 12 volt line. They perform as they should! Milwaukee I had a lot of problems with their hammer drills, reciprocating saws, cutters and impact switches the list goes on.

This is a similar comparison to putting a consumer pickup with a diesel up against the same make commercial pickup. The consumer has WAY more power, sometimes over a hundred more. But commercial trucks are made for longevity. They don't care about how fast it can make it up the hill but how many times it can make it up the hill. Sometimes you cut the power, and the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Less heat, less stress, better life, and so on.

Hilti made their impact driver less powerful than Milwaukee on purpose to prevent overheating. However the Milwaukee can still last a very long time if you let it cool down whenever the anvil case gets hot to the touch but, that will cut into productivity unless you own a second one to have in rotation.

You can just hear how much better built the hilti is ….. that Milwaukee sound super loud compared to the hilti . The only thing that pisses me off about Hilti is not only their warranty, but how blatantly obvious the lack quality that’s missing in their last batch of 22v batteries from 2020-2021. I’m not the only one who had issues with them then out of nowhere comes this new platform. Geez wonder how that happens huh? now I’m stuck with 3 bad batteries out of 4 and 12v system that doesn’t hang to the connectors right

Hilti rules in concrete and masonry works, no other brands even come close as powerful and comfortable to use. Milwaukee impact or Ingersoll Rand is the most powerful, but Milwaukee always the one first to develop fault. Makita might be the most balanced in terms of longevity, power and price.

Today Hilti is not the '90s Hilti that was both the fastest and the most reliable. But when Hilti last 2 years of heavy use, Milfuky suky suky that is not just made in China like Hilti, but fully own chinesium from 2005!!! will last 6 months to 2 years of moderate use. And for speed there are drill drivers, at least another 2-3X faster then Milwaukee impact drivers that generate 120 db and are ilegal in residential area and absurdly stupid to use in most cases. Most people never ever need to screw huge screws in rufs from a lader and without predriling, and without predriling is stupid anywey, the wood cracks and is scrap. Impact wrenches are smart tools, impact drivers are stupid tools made mostly for imbeciles.

Milwaukee has the problem with the trigger and it tends to break easily, once the trigger doesn't work I had to remove the battery and put it back again to make it work, doing more couple times a day the same process gets annoying, the Milwaukee's was brand new and it started to have the problem in the first month , so I won't buy a Milwaukee anytime soon.
