The thing that Carl took out of the oven was the casserole that Carol was making before the attack, meaning the whole thing happened in less than an hour.
Blair Kilgallon Nice connection between the start and end that. Quite a satisfying little scene with no dialogue I thought. Oh, casserole done, bad guys done, good.

Remember back in Season 1 when Jenner said that the time it takes to reanimate is different for everyone? (3 minutes was the fastest time recorded at that point) That would explain why the truck driver Wolf turned pretty quickly. I also agree that Morgan was being naive believing this thing with the Wolves is over. This was definitely one of those times where letting them go wasn't the right thing to do (like Gareth and the Terminians).
Yeah, even if they don't come back to Alexandria, like Rick tells Gareth "you'll cross paths with someone." Morgan believes all life is precious, but that should extend to the lives of their potential future victims as well.
Jesse pretending to be knocked out instantaneously is a telling behavior of her character as someone who has survived domestic abuse. Playing Dead to deescalate the aggressor.
Lacey's reaction to Enid consuming that turtle like a caveman was hilarious. When, Lacey averted her eyes a little and I couldn't help but laugh. Understandable Lacey, understandable.
The kid had the A stamp. He stamped ricks hand meaning Alexandria. And he put it on carols railing when he was sitting out there. But yes The A is a reoccurring theme usually unrelated to each other.
This will always be one of my favorite episodes also. Carol. The meek little abused housewife in season 1 ...she used to cower when someone would raise their voice around her. Now she doesn't appear to be afraid of much of anything. Afraid or not, she takes care of business!
"if more of the group weren't gone..." It's OK, they have Carol. :) BTW, I LOVE Tara! FFS, Morgan needs to try his "all lives are precious" without risking other people's lives.
Morgan : You don't have to kill Carol: Of course you do Morgan: You don't like it I've never watched Carol kill and felt like she was enjoying it. She isn't a sadist. She is savage as hell though and does whatever it takes to keep her loved ones and friends safe. I truly believe that by having only original Alexandrians to die that the writers are showing how vulnerable not only the community is with the walls that can be scaled, but more so how the people have absolutely no combat skills or survivor skills. The only thing they knew how to do was run and that just didn't serve them very well. I never can get past the fact that Olivia was hiding in the closet in the armory when she had unlimited weapons right there to keep her safe and to fight to save others. She was hiding and didn't even have a weapon in her hand!!! 😐 Then when Carol asked her "do you know how to shoot a gun?" she said No!! So Alexandria has a female who has no idea how to even shoot a gun in charge of the guns and other weapons. Brilliant!!. lol, Thankfully Carol got to the armory before the wolves.
That is a great freaking point! I never thought about it because I was caught up with Carol, but why the hell did they have Olivia in charge of the weapons when she can't even use them? Could they have given her some training first? Jesus, they really did just pretend and have bake sales!
Right on Amy. So true about Olivia. And I couldn't agree with you more about Morgan. That short interaction with Carol about her not like killing people.... Well of course not Morgan. Imagine if Rick had died because Morgan didn't kill those wolves when he had the chance. I think I would hate Morgan for eternity. That's him not thinking about the bigger picture. He's not worrying at the thought that those Wolves he set free might hurt/kill some of their people who are already outside the walls leading the walkers away. That to me, is reckless.
They probably have Olivia their because she is a accountant type and knows numbers. A person good at shooting may not necessarily be good at organization.
Colonel Dave Grossman is a retired Army officer, Ranger and military psychologist, who wrote extensively about the psychological an physiological effects killing. In his book:"On Combat", he wrote that there are basically three kinds of people in society. There are wolves, sheep and sheep dogs. Wolves prey on sheep. Sheep don't know enough, or have the ability to fight back. The sheepdog sees the threat, and acts to stop it. This episode and the next couple are very good examples of the whole sheepdog concept. Ricks group as a whole, (Carol is highlighted here), are definitely sheepdogs. The Wolves, well they're the wolves, and the people of Alexandria are are the Sheep. Morgan is more of a challenge to catigorize, because his world view has shifted to one that forbids all killing, even to defend. But he's still a sheepdog. Grossman points out that sheep don't nessesarily understand or appreciate what the sheepdog does. In fact they are often afraid of the sheepdog. They might easily mistake it for the threat. Carol, Rosita, Aaron, Carl and Maggie fought all the wolves off and Morgan reluctantly defended. The "A" came from when Sam was sitting on the porch waiting for Carol and he was holding the "A" stamp in his hand. He had that stamper at the welcome party. It is a reference to being welcomed into Alexandria. At this point Carol doesn't know if Sam is alive or dead either.
Carol: systematically taking out the threat. She wastes no time. I love Morgan's philosophy, and I wish he could live in a world like that, but I wonder if it's possible, ever again. Great reaction! 😊🌺🏝️❤️
You guys probably already talked about this on your live stream, I don't know, I came in late, but the 'A' on the porch in this instance was put there by Sam. Big SHOUTOUT to Alexandra Breckenridge for killing it as Jessie in this episode. The fans always praise how much Carol really owned it but it was Jessie who really did it for me. I mean we already know that Carol is a badass but with Jessie, we were seeing a fresh face come into her own for the first time. To this day, Jessie’s first kill remains my favourite kill scene by any TWD character. It makes for a very powerful scene too if you really understand the context behind it. The reason why Jessie went so hysterical is that she was envisioning this female wolf as Pete in the moment. The whole scene mirrored the kind of ordeals Jessie would face at the hands of Pete through all the years of abuse she went through. All that anger, emotion had builded up but this time she would fight back in order to protect her children. (I also liked how she stabbed the wolf one more time in the head at the end to prevent reanimation)

I think the thing is, Morgan was in the same situation as the Wolves and he came back. At the same time Carol is feeling bad because she is killing so much, effectively feeling like she is turning into a wolf herself.
The A is one of the biggest mysteries in The Walking Dead it’s never been explained but like you guys said it’s in previous episodes but as to the meaning I tend to think it’s just a Terminus reminder because of the episode called “A” in which Rick and the others are trapped in terminus in a train-cart with the “A” on it, so I think it keeps appearing by chance but that’s just my theory

This is another of those times throughout the TWD world where the writers have to get rid of a massive community of extras. They did the same in Season 4 at the Prison. Still, it was really shocking and action-packed. I love how totally badass and no-nonsense Carol is, especially compared to the pacifist Morgan. Another running theme is with the letter "A", which in this episode was from Sam's hand-stamper but was also not only the train car at Terminus but I have a feeling was the block Rick and Co lived in at the Prison too.
But I think that Carol and Morgan are definitely going to be at odds with each other because they have different philosophies and I feel really sorry for Aaron cause he is gonna blame himself cause he feels that all those deaths at Alexandria is gonna be on him cause they had his bag
Well at least the Alexandrians, (the ones at home anyway), now understand how the world is now. Rick and crew, (mainly Rickypoos to be fair), not looking so nuts eh?
This episode reminds you that not everyone in the apocalypse is a fighter. The people who were killed by the Wolves were innocent. They never hurt anyone. It wasn’t really their fault for being soft. I think it’s really sad.
Epic episode, right !?. How cool was RAMBO Carol ;)?! I know you wanna be judge and jury for Morgan now but just wait and see what happens next alright ??.

The main issue is a long ... slow.. burn. It's deep and enjoyable. Good reaction/discussion.
One of my favourite episodes
That teenager is a good actor.
Steve wanted the “W” as a tattoo; I think he should go for JSS 👍🏼
This is one of my favourite episodes!
Me too..
Absolutely one of the best episodes ever...!
Carol's theme songs for this ep: "Assassin" by Insane Clown Posse and "Natural Born Killaz" by Dr. Dre.
Or, "Nobody But Me" by the Human Beinz
Good suggestion. I had to look it up 'cause I haven't heard it in years. It does kinda suit Carol.
Carol is the best thing about TWD
Daryl 😎
@@leila7132 love him too, and Maggie is my third favourite
Was I the only one shocked when the big guy talked to Morgan lol
Why
Daryl: Where's Anthony
Beth: Some Girl ate him
Daryl: I TOLD YOU TO LOOK AFTER ANTHONY
Beth: BUT HE WAS MUSHY I BET HE TASTED DELICIOUS
Daryl: *Cries*
Beth: STOP CRYING YOU BIG BABY YOU KNOW HE WOULD HAVE TASTED DELICIOUS
Daryl: You're right...
What
This is another of those times throughout the TWD world where the writers have to get rid of a massive community of extras.
They were in "C", eventually took over"D" too. Fittingly, "A" was administration/death row. 🧟🤠😎
This is my favorite season personally. So good
Did you know the actors that play Carl & Enid actually went to rival high schools during these seasons.
Another one of my favorite episodes.
But I think that Carol and Morgan are definitely going to be at odds with each other because they have different philosophies and I feel really sorry for Aaron cause he is gonna blame himself cause he feels that all those deaths at Alexandria is gonna be on him cause they had his bag
13:19 She's not coming back.
Well at least the Alexandrians, (the ones at home anyway), now understand how the world is now. Rick and crew, (mainly Rickypoos to be fair), not looking so nuts eh?
One of my favorite episodes!!!
Carol went full Shane
This episode was awesome.
Love the shirts
This episode reminds you that not everyone in the apocalypse is a fighter. The people who were killed by the Wolves were innocent. They never hurt anyone. It wasn’t really their fault for being soft. I think it’s really sad.
ONCE AGAIN...CAROL IS A BADASS!!!
And how Morgan found those hands
I love this episode
There is end credit scene in season 6 episdoe 8
im way too late to be saying this but the a is because its the stamp from sam
Epic episode, right !?.
How cool was RAMBO Carol ;)?!
I know you wanna be judge and jury for Morgan now but just wait and see what happens next alright ??.
