- Profoto has created an entire system of portable lighting with accessories around their Profoto A2 flash. With this behind-the-scenes video, I show how I used the Profoto A2 flashes and accessories during a photo session with a friend, Franklin Elliot, who is a musician and actor. The intent was to create a series of promotional photos, with a variety of looks.

Damn, Neil, these are some great shots! Really fun to see the way you build them up, and makes me suddenly dissatisfied with every musician shoot I have ever done in the past.😅
Well done - someday I'll upgrade to Profoto - looks more intuitive than other systems.
That's another thing I love about Profoto -- the simplicity of use. The operation of any of their flashes are very obvious to even someone unfamiliar with them.

I can't seem to achieve the clear crisp gel stripe that you've produced in this video
Do I need to buy the gel holder to use the gels? Or do they just connect directly to a2 with no gel holder needed for clic gels?
the gels connect with magnets - no gel holder needed

hello, I can hear a faint ticking sound when my A2 Flash is tuned on, is this normal, something to do with the capacitor. Should I have it replaced?
All three my Profoto A2 flashes are super quiet. No sounds. My inclination would be not to repair something that is still working, unless it is super annoying.

Which flash would you recommend A2 or A10
As a small moonlight, I would recommend the A2. If you want a flash you can use on your camera -- then the A10 is what you want.
Profoto sucks...you people won’t listen to your customers and you refuse to release an adapter to recharge the A10 flash battery via USB-C. I own your products and I am disgusted with you as your customer. Godox is making your company look like a joke because you refuse to give the A10 an off unit USB-C charger. I’m going to launch a class action lawsuit against your company if you do not give us what we need by this Christmas. You are in violation of EU laws
You do realize I am merely a (working) photographer that uses Profoto? I am not Profoto, the company. It is far outside of my power to grant you your wishes. Even if you threaten me (in the USA) with a EU based class-action lawsuit. Or, in other words, "Sir, this is a Wendy's."
I'm UK based. I'd honestly love to know what EU legislation you think ProPhoto has broken?!
Uh, I think those EU a laws are for phones and stuff. Now, if I could only get my B10X to make phone calls 😮
