  • Profoto Clic Fresnel the new light shaping tool concentrates the light beam for your flash for a dramatic fall off. Very similar with the Magnum Reflector but in a smaller package .

Long shot but do you have any idea if it also boosts the light of godox lc30d light which has the same magnetic head of ad100 and v1?

It should work the same . Thank you for pointing out that little light. I was looking for something like that and your comment saved the day . I ordered the bicolor one . Will let you know how it works in a couple of days when I get it !

@@tonyroscaphotography highly recommended lights. I use 4 of them for jewellery photography and wanna add a couple more but I have the day light version since it's a bit more powerful. And the barn doors from the akr1 kit work magic. Eager to see how they work with the fresnel since technically it allows me to have more distance and therefore more spread with same original brightness

Ok , i got the light and its awesome ! Thank you for pointing out to it ! Now the fresnel doesnt work good with this light. Its soften the light and it cuts a few 10ths of a stop instead of boosting the output . Also at the edge of the projected light beam you can see pattern shadows from the fresnel glass. Center its clean and it cuts some harshness but its not worth using it.

@@tonyroscaphotography @tonyroscaphotography im glad you like it. And thank you very much you just saved me at least 100$. I guess for a stronger light with a tight beam I'll try the godox ml100.

can you use the fresnel with the magnum for even more output?

Surprisingly when stacked together it doesn't increase the power , you only gain maybe 1/10 of a stop . I think the fresnel projects the light beam forward in a narrow angle and it doesn't have a chance to bounce in the magnum reflector

I was looking at this but I’m not spending $100 on this piece of plastic.

After i did this video the glass of the fresnel came loose from the frame . It didnt had enough glue to keep a good bond . Yep, I hear you on this one

I agree, its expensive for what it is. If you use it all the time its ok. Personally i thought I will use it more but its not happening.
