We test the entry point for Lexus compact rear-wheel drive sport sedan to see if it's as fun to drive as the top end IS 350. Full text review at www.TestDriven.TV
I'm disillusioned with the Germans. After 20 years of owning BMW, Audi and Mercedes I decided to check out the Lexus. I was surprised to see that Lexus standard features are options with the Germans. After test driving I felt like I missed out all these years and so I made the switch to Lexus and leased this car. It's beautiful in design, handling and comfort, and the customer service from the dealer is far superior to the German brands. This person gives an excellent and realistic review, the Germans are a "has been" and Lexus is positioning itself to be the premier luxury brand.
This may be a base model but it has at least one expensive package (I spy memory drivers seat) and the expensive optional Mark Levinson audio package. My point is, this is may have the base engine and missing the sports handling suspension of the F Sport package, but it's also not your typical base model car...which most makes wont let you add packages or stand alone options to.
I leased one about a month ago. Beautiful car, ride is very solid and smooth. Everything feels premium and upscale. Very unique interesting look from all angles. For the price it really should have 30-50 more HP. It feels a bit sluggish compared to my VW CC, but more refined. I drove BMW 320, 328, A4 and Cadillac ATS. All were good, but I just liked this a bit better and the 27 month lease deal was great.
Very informative review and very good demeanor of the host. At first I thought what's this cowboy's gimmick, but quickly saw that he does a terrific realistic review. I'm pretty tired of most of the others that are all about performance and project a huge amount of snobness and ego. A lot of mature drivers like myself can appreciate an occasional spirited jaunt on a twisty road, but for the most part don't drive too far beyond the speed limit. What we want is decent performance, economy, comfort, and good value.
@@TestDrivenTV Thanks. There's one IS250 F-Sport (four doors) in very good shape here, I'm thinking of buying. Do it's still a great choice right? Thanks
Hi Sam, I'll ask an awkward question :) If I'm between a 2014 F-Sport version of this that is in great shape and a 2019 UX250h F-Sport (with no safety features, ACC etc..), and if i really like both and I could buy either, is it a no brainer for the UX? Or it depends? Do you recommend both equally? Can I choose either of them that I'll be good? Keep up the good videos! Thanks
Someone please take the poor guy out for some decent shopping ... Shoes, jeans, polo shirt are simply horrendous.. And then there's the hat. Nice car, by the way...
