      Do you know anything about the area on N111 around Rickman, my inlaws live there and I can't reach them.

      Joe Tittle, no it didn’t. It was around the cane creek area, if you’re familiar with that place. It hit echo valley area really hard.

    Thank you, I am in Chicago, but my son and his family are there. This gives me a true account of the trauma they are experiencing. Thank you again.

    I believe this is at minimum EF-4 damage in these narrow areas that were directly in the path. Any debate over a higher rating will probably depend on the anchoring of these houses and the kind of foundations they were built on.

    This is why I say states in Dixie Alley need to require homes to be built with reinforced FEMA approved safe rooms. The plumbing fixtures were no match for this monstrosity.

    I just moved from Jamestown this past November. I had to travel often to Cookeville while living over there. I always enjoyed the visits. So sorry this happened.

    My heart goes out to the people in Nashville and Cookeville. We have visited these areas quite a few times when we would go visit my aunt and uncle in Dresden nearly every summer. I have been close to a tornado when it hit in Colonial Heights back in 1993. Words can’t describe what in going on in my head. My thoughts and prayers are with you. 🙏😔

    Looks kinda like Parkersburg from 2008 or Tuscaloosa. Right along that mid-to-high 4 range with questionable pockets of *POTENTIAL* EF-5 damage

    • @jazzandrocknroll3235
      @jazzandrocknroll3235 4 роки тому

      Brandon Skalniak I agree, it is EF5 damage. It's even obvious from looking at the sky-view damage images.

      Not even close to ef5. I’ll say high end ef3 with some isolated areas of low end ef4 damage.
      An ef5 tornado would only leave bare foundations left. Not to mention that the structures in this video were wooden, and not well anchored to their foundations.

    • @justinharris5195
      @justinharris5195 4 роки тому

      Justin Shackleford
      Which proves my point.
      No where near ef5. “Only” a low to moderate ef4, with that kind of damage occurring in very isolated spots. Most of it being ef3 damage.

    This has to be an EF5, no question about it. The NWS oofed when they turned down the EF5 rating for other tornadoes such as the Mayflower EF4 and the Rochelle-Fairdale EF4. This damage is Joplin-like. If it is an EF5, this will make it only the 2nd ever official F5/EF5 in Tennessee state history since official records began in 1950.

      MusicIsForTheSoul I dunno if I would go that far but I do believe this thing was an EF4, the homes demolished and “swept clean” were probably not anchored well and the ones that were swept away were surrounded by trees that weren’t debarked and some even had the cars still standing in the garages but there’s very few damage pictures so only time will tell.

    • @jazzandrocknroll3235
      @jazzandrocknroll3235 4 роки тому

      Justin Shackleford The rating is preliminary, they still need to survey more damage before they finalize the rating

      Too many structures in the path still standing. Trees still have bark, This is not ef5 damage. There wouldn't be trees anywhere you look, It would be so flat youd be able to see the roundness of earth. Its an ef4 in my opinion.

      Ohio glitter Twister This video just shows certain areas of damage. There are worst damage videos circulating from this tornado. It's an EF5 i still think

      MusicIsForTheSoul I do think that this thing probably had gusts in the EF5 range but the structures it hit weren’t exceptionally well built. I just saw more damage ariels and it looks like a textbook violent tornado. It appears that there may have actually been some ground scouring if you look closely and trees nearby were shredded and debarked next to clean foundations of 2 story homes. Probably more violent than Beauregard last year.
