If the underlying cause is treated would the acanthosis nigricans still come back? For example losing weight and changing your diet.
I found what actually cleared my armpits was using an aluminum free antiperspirant etc. Natural. Over the years has remained eventoned because of this.
Yes! I had the same experience. I switched to Arm and Hammer and it has cleared up almost completely.
Do i apply those as deodorants or deodorant first then apply the kotion or lotion then deodorant? Please clarify. Thanks

I only have darkening underarms and inner thighs where skin rubs against each other. I'm thin but i don't have thigh gap so my inner thighs always dark, i use AHA every week and vit c, and other brightening serum. I don't have diabetes but i noticed my mom is the same. Would laser help remove it?
So are you saying all that stuff you used didn't help yet? Is that why you're asking about laser? How often and long were you using all those you listed?
I live in Canada and most of these products aren't available in here.
I'm confused, how are you supposed to use urea products together with Trentinoin. Do you use them both at the same time , or one in the A.M and one at night.
Can I use onlyCerave Diabetics relief skin cream without tretonoin cream?
Your choppy clips are making me dizzy.. but I do appreciate your video.

Hi, Dr. Jenny hope you will see my comment, so the thing is I bought all the 3 ( Cerave diabetic dry skin, Amlactin Ultra smoothing, and tretinoin 0.1%, my question Is it okay to use the 3? like 3x or 2x weekly? also can you please do a tutorial on how to use it? if not then just the two? Cerave and tretinoin? or ultra smoothing and tretinoin?
She should answer your question.
Thank you, Dr.🙂
I had darker skin in on my neck since I was a pre-teen, I had a bad weight problem. I lost weight and kept active and it went away. After getting pregnant a second time, I gain a lot of weight and am less active and my neck, pits, and inner thigh are getting darker. Again I'm trying to lose weight and the neck is clearing up. Is it my excess weight making it happen?
I would say yes, as my dark parts also gets lightened up as I loose weight. I am no skin expert tho
I have very dark thickened skin on the top of my toes at the joint , I exfoliate regularly and apply moisturizing creams and skin lighteners but nothing helps , could these be Acanthosis Nigrocans even though it’s on the toes ? How can I treat it , I have darker skin - IV on the Fitzpatrick scale?
My doc prescribed this expensive topical cost over $100. Insurance will no pay for it. Nothing and no results..also it’s a compound that you have to go to a special pharmacy that makes it.
It’s also is caused by a insulin resistance problem in the persons body they need to get their weight and health under control

@@clementine866 I think it's just hyperpigmentaton, it's really noticeable though especially since my face is like two shades lighter.
When I was thin I had it and it never went away. It’s annoying
You might have insulin resistance. That is beginning stage of diabetes. Blood sugar will be normal in this stage. You have to check Serum Insulin
Hi Doc. Thanks

What is the treatment for Tinea versicolor other than saying use Selaum blue shampoo for dandruff on the skin. Who can lather shampoo on their body for 10 minutes. So hopefully you can help many who suffer from this. Respond here if you see this and do a video on it to. Thankyou!!
So I put Acid base moisturizer first then layer on tretinoin?
Might be useful for some people to know that diabetes and insulin resistance can cause darkening of skin folds.
This is so true but alot of people don't know it.
Thank you Dr.Liu for the info. Can you share your skin care routine coz you have a glowing skin😍
Goat milk soap is the best for skin care. Especially Beeekman 1802 brand. I love their whipped body cream and bar soap! Been using it for 6 years already. I absolutely love goat milk soap.
I started using the kikumasamune lotion (it’s a very watery lotion). What do you think of that? Have you heard of it? I read it has arbutin in it - well a form of it.
I also wanted to use eucerin advanced repair cream down their. I have used eucerin advanced repair cream on my face and it’s worked really well
