Walt had already died when the locomotives were brought from the Yucatan, the project was overseen by Roger Broggie which is why he has a loco named after him.
I just realized that had it not been for the crisis situation, I probably would have been at Dollywood yesterday too. Whatever way, we'll get through this and be back to the places we love soon enough.
Yep, we all just gotta sit tight. I just hope there isn't a second wave in the fall, losing the revenue from the fall color & Christmas trains could kill some smaller railroads.
Congratulations on your ten year anniversary. Always love steam locomotives 🚂 because of all the working parts. Nothing better than to ride on them. Please keep up the great videos.
Thanks for all your time and effort over the years. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos. I'm looking forward to my next trip to the Smokies.
Congrats and I think my fav locomotives in the vid were TVRM 610, Southern 630, Canadian Pacific 1293 which happens to be my favorite steam locomotive, Southern 4501, GCR 4960, N&W 611, Reading and Northern 425, Nickel Plate Road 765, Frisco 1630, Heisler 6, Nashville 576 being moved to restoration, Union Pacific 4014 & 844, Norfolk and Western 475 and Chesapeake and Ohio 2716 also being moved to restoration.
Yep, lots to look forward to as soon as this passes. Personally I'm most excited for 576, 2716, and the reopening of the EBT. Hopefully they won't be delayed too much.
Denton Farmpark in Denton, North Carolina. They can be seen operating at the annual Threshers' Reunion alongside lots of other cool steam, diesel, gas, and even horse-powered machines.
Some very fine video of some really beautiful looking & sounding old trains. High quality, mostly stable, good camera work - over all a very fine presentation. But you did NOT film it. You recorded it, lensed it, videoed it - Pick the phrase you like. But there is not one frame of film! I know. I worked in Broadcast TV when we actually DID use film. There are no film artifacts. No gate weave, no grain, no hair/fuzz/dirt. Film, at this length. would even have cue dots at :10 & :01 before the reel changes (which I always saw). I know everybody says it. Doesn’t make it correct. But very good video work - thanks!
11:04 it’s like a never ending whistle cycle.
15:10 that is Roger. E. Broggie and a narrow gauge train came from Mexico brought by Walt Disney himself.

SmokyMtnSteam I meant to say that the Walt Disney company brought the trains.

Let's hope it's over sooner rather than later.

I hope we don't see that either. Some places are already gonna be struggling after having to cancel their Thomas events.
This is excellent. Great job.
Thank you!
Nice video
10:25 Disney’s Monorail Mark 5
Mark 6, the Mark 5s had a similar design but were smaller to fit on the beam at Anaheim.

Thank you! Nothing like steam power.

Thank you for watching! Hopefully the mountains will be welcoming visitors again soon.
Congrats. I hope to get to that milestone soon.
Thanks, just keep at it.

Thanks! That sure is a lot of favorites.
154 had #12’s Whistle
If I remember right it was actually 192's whistle, I don't think 12's whistle has traveled anywhere but I could be wrong.
Congrats on your 10 year anniversary! -- Guy who was in at least 2 shots shown in this video.
Thanks!
Watching this gave me some Mark 1 video Roarin' Runby vibes. Keep up the amazing work you do!
Thank you! Never heard of Roarin' Runby, I'll have to check that out.
6:22 LOL 630'S BELL IS STUCK XD
Not a great start to the 20s but there'll be great things to come in this decade. Great footage!

Awesome video! Where are the steam shovels at?

Amazing!....looking at all these train clips put together makes me think of the mark 1 video train movies
Awesome footage
I can only hope the Llangollen Railway can be reopened.
Keep up the good work!!
So weird that Southern 154 was built. in 1890 and is still running in 2019.
Great Video! Hopefully, you can post that remake soon!
Grateful for the friendship, let's hope we can salvage the rest of 2020!
Same to you Josh, fingers crossed we don't get a second wave in the fall.
