I got the reggie auto when I was nine years old. I put it in my back pocket and went to the card shop. Guy freaked out I had it in my pocket. Thankfully no damage and I still have it.
Would like to see a video all on Jeter cards. Maybe not just the same old top 10 or 20, but a deeper cut into more of the less known cards but still can fetch a decent price.
Nice video I have a Jim Palmer Kellogs 3D Card of him throwing a ball 1992 how much is it worth? Also have a Charles Barkley of him Sixers uniform this USA Basketball Card, I have Micheal Jordon All Star team card and on the back it list the players on the All Star team for Eastern Team and Western Team are these cards worth anything?
I think that Mantle & Griffey duel auto is one of the coolest cards ever. That card is signed by the most popular player of 4 decades worth of MLB. Even today where auto cards are in every product that would probably be the best card (of course the Mantle auto would have to be a cut, RIP). Could you imagine pulling that card 30 years ago? I can't...I lost it when I pulled an Barry Bonds Elite from a box of Donruss back then.
You are great because you get right to the point. No BS. Some of these talking heads love to hear themselves talk.lf there was an MVP OF THE Hobby it's you HANDS DOWN.THANK YOU CHRIS !
Enjoyed looking through this list of the most expensive 1970's Topps Baseball card, I was 11years old in 1971, I still have my complete set of the 1971 year, I have many of the 1970 Topp set along with 72', 73 & 74 cards, thank you again
Always wanted that 1990 Topps Frank Thomas NNO, i saw one at a show in the early 2000s and cldve got it for like $300, if i remember correctly. I wasnt sure if it was fake cause it looked like i might have been altered by someone so i passed. It was a raw copy. Still a big card in the overall history of baseball cards.
Dude I love your videos. Not a lot of style or glitz just the facts. And believe it or not the tone of your voice is so plain that it makes me feel better than you. LOL but you are the greatest
How did the 1990 Fleer Jose Uribe error card not make the list. Raw it’s like a $ 20, 000 Card. LOL. Great content, Great video , keep up the H.O.F work. Fun fact: I was planing on buying my first house with all my Todd VanPoppel rookie cards.
I have one of those Michael Jordan star rookie upper decks is it the Diamond rookies or the star rookies. Obviously I want the $700 value. Should I get a graded? Where is the best place I can sell this out for that $700?
These cards are only worth someone is willing to pay.i collected cards for a long time ,even put together sets.I got lucky and sold them for a good price, about 20 years ago 👍 quit while I was ahead!! Honestly, if I had one of the most valuable cards in the world, Chances are, I would probably end up having to keep it, or maybe even putting it between the spokes of my bicycle tire!!! 🚲 Did I say 20 years I meant 30.BTW back in the day I had a Nolan Ryan rookie card, book price,1500,00, I think,, anyway I ended up getting only 150 💸 for it,because it WASN'T IN MINT CONDITION!!!
In the early 90s my 2 older brothers collected baseball cards. I didn't really care for them. But seinc they got to get cards then I got them aswell. And mom would allways get her babby boy more then the older 2 brats. But seinc I didn't care for baseball cards ( witch I had to have win my brothers got some) I didn't open manny of the packs. I just put them in boxes. Mom just reminded about the 4 boxes in her basement that she needs out of the way.....
Quoting values using PSA 10 is really incorrect because in reality when it comes down to it that's not real value. You could get 500 of the most expensive cars of all time straight out of a pack and it may not be a PSA 10 value.... I also hate when people talk about so-and-so never having certain rookie cards and stuff. If a player has a 1991 Topps card as his rookie card but does not have a 91 fleer card, then his 92 Fleer is his rookie card for Fleer. I hate when people do that with rookie cards, it's always people trying to do it trying to sound like they know more than the next person or some s*** like that.
Excuse me... I was wondering if ud be willing to help me out and get some prices for cards for me... I don't think any are rookie cards... But some date back as early as 1950.
Hey I'm in Dallas and I'm looking for an authenticator I came across a bunch of football basketball baseball cards from 19 60 on a I've got to the leader pro NFL pro set arrow and some of the players are Warren Moon quarterback Joe Montana quarterback 49ers Andrew rison wide receiver falcons or the Atlanta falcons Barry Sanders running back score 663 Jerry Rice 665 wide receiver for San Francisco 49ers 664 Thurman Thomas running back Buffalo bills
Time out. I have most of prev mentioned cards. 4:58 in. I have multiple. Kent’s. 94 was when they had the lockout. In baseball. Hence the upper deck sp rarity
Guys help!! I got boxes and bags full of cards and a bunch of 90’s unopened ! What do I do? Peel through the cards or sell the whole packs? I’m not a collector. But I’m researching.
Thankfully no ‘Tiffany’ cards on this list. Nobody who was a run of the mill wax pack collector in the late ‘80’s early ’90’s has any of that dealer only cardboard ⚾️
So are the prices said being authentication and graded??? Because i have multiple full league year of every player that year in almost 10 state condition from 87 to 98 i believe all in different card types as well tops pinnacle prosets wildcard and so on???
Know what's crazy I own 7 full sets not opened topps baseball cards. I even have some hockey, basketball, and football cards. They are worthless because cards no 1 wants anymore.
Hi: Speaking of error cards, I have a 1991 (I think) Stadium Club Dennis Rasmussen card with nothing on the back. It's just beige blankness. Ever heard of this?
I have the frank Thomas card but not the error one. Mint condition. Also have hundreds of more cards. If your interested let me know. I'd be willing to sellb
I found a 1992 Derek Jeter rookie topps gold in my old baseball card album two bottom corners are a little dinged, just wanted to see if it had any value
I literally just bought a shoe box with 200 cards , only 25 players . All sleeved and top loaded. And forgotten. Got all the players in your list, some like jetter, Ryan, Thomas, Bagwell, Rodriguez. Have 20 cards of them. All 90's
cleaning the basement i came across a box of about 600 or so football cards. all early 90s was gonna tossem out but i decided to check them out first. i know nothing about them.
How can anyone who doesn't play the game like a pro get into mlb ? Why cant less fortunate would have been great players get into mlb without having a big name or lesser money
Very helpful! I'm going through 25 binders of 1970s, 80s and 90s cards that were given to me. The first thing I found when I opened the tote was an autographed Ken Griffey Jr. ball. This is going to be fun! I am watching all of your videos while I sort ...
How can you possibly put Mike Piazza in the same sentence as Ivan Rodriguez..........That's like saying Gary Carter was just as good or close to Johnny Bench back in the 70s........that's total blasphemy..........At least Carter was good behind the plate, where as Piazza was sooooo bad on defense and especially throwing out runners......I was shocked they put him in the hall so quickly. I mean Johnny Bench was sooooo good, they ostracized Carter from the hall for decades and he's probably 5 times better a catcher than piazza ever was.
Wow. Thanks Chris. The 80's and 90's videos brought back the memories. My goal sometime later in the year is to pick up some of the less expensive guys that have been graded. Obviously most of mine are not Mint, since I enjoyed sorting cards and at 12 or 13 years old was not thinking about condition. It wasn't until about age 16 when I started being more careful with my cards. Mike Piazza will be my first target.
14:10 oh my God! I just realized I pulled one of these cards in a five dollar Fairfield pack :-) thank you for dropping this knowledge. I got a valuable card!
Was at first surprised not to see the '93 Bazooka Todd Helton on the list but I guess it could be considered a parallel even though it was from it's own set. Great video as always, I sure wish I had bought some of these 20 or 30 years ago!
I have multiple 5k boxes of early 90’s junk wax. Need to go through them some day. They actually survived better than the cards I put in binders and top loaders because they were kept at my parents house after I moved out. And unfortunately a lot were UV damaged and moisture damaged 😭
It's a crime that Pedro Martinez is nowhere on the base card list. The existence of his '91 UD final edition probably hurts the value of his cadillac '92 Bowman card, but still.
A shrewd card shop owner fleeced me outta my ‘92 bowman box I bought on a lark at Sam’s club. I traded almost all of my cards chasing shaq rookies(skybox, ud, topps). I had no idea what I had as a 10 y/o. Little did he know my shaqs eventually passed up the bowman value, only took 20 something years. Long game ha
1991 Donruss Elite was really cool back then. If only I knew to take care of them better when I got some. LOL. Weird because the base 1991 Donruss may be the ultimate poster child for the ‘Junk Wax Era’
Thank you for this breakdown, I have collected sports cards and memorabilia since the mid '70s, and this video really renewed my interest in the hobby. I suppose I am what some would call a "purest" as far as my collecting style. I grew up searching for those perfectly centered, no fuzz, sharp cornered cards of yesteryear, while sticking the no name commons in my bicycle spokes. The hunt is what drove myself and many others for many years, but once I started to see all the specialty inserts/cards being stuck into packs, I felt that the cards companies had abandoned what started the bobby int the first place. As such I had pretty much resided myself to the fact that the hobby had hit rock bottom and most likely would not recover. But what I failed to realize was that the enthusiasm was still there, it was now just focused on different things. That being said, this video started me thinking about all the cards/sets I have collected over the years and now, much like the previous collector's entry, I am watching your videos and again rummaging through my collection. In particular the huge numbers of 1992 Bowman I have. At the time I didn't give the cards much thought I just bought box after box to complete my set with countless dupe's and what I thought were commons at the time, just sitting collection dust.... but now with Mariano Rivera's popularity being off the charts, I am once again on the hunt, but this time to see just how many I have! Keep up the good work and thanks again for rekindling my passion for the hobby!
error cards are really hard to value. i have a mike macfarlane from that same Topps set that just has no back. cardboard color for the entire back. unfortunately he's not a star player but the error is so weird and rare the card may still have some value.
Frank Thomas 1990 Leaf, one of my favorites.
Me too. Love that whole 90 Leaf set.
I have that card and the 1990 leaf Griffey Unfortunately I don’t think it’s PSA worthy.
I loved his rookie sensation card too
I got one
Totally agree. The Mantle/Griffey is ridiculous
You are great because you get right to the point. No BS. Some of these talking heads love to hear themselves talk.lf there was an MVP OF THE Hobby it's you HANDS DOWN.THANK YOU CHRIS !
Wow congrats! 😳✌
My buddy stole a pack from a Party Fair in NJ and pulled the Griffey/Mantle auto. Don’t know what happened to it since…
Enjoyed looking through this list of the most expensive 1970's Topps Baseball card, I was 11years old in 1971, I still have my complete set of the 1971 year, I have many of the 1970 Topp set along with 72', 73 & 74 cards, thank you again
I have the Jeter SP somewhere. We moved twice since I had it so hopefully it’s in a box somewhere. I think I need to look harder 😂
Bought a No Name Frank Thomas at a local shop for $12 back in the day, sold it for $100 during the broke college years.....................PAIN!
Always wanted that 1990 Topps Frank Thomas NNO, i saw one at a show in the early 2000s and cldve got it for like $300, if i remember correctly.

God bless to absolutely everyone reading this for eternity and beyond
Thanks for the video. All this has me scratching my head a bit. $211 for a Jeff Kent RC? It's for people collecting grades, not cards.
I have one of those Michael Jordan star rookie upper decks is it the Diamond rookies or the star rookies. Obviously I want the $700 value. Should I get a graded? Where is the best place I can sell this out for that $700?
I know of someone who has kirby pucketts hospital id card the day he was hit in the eye which ended his career. worth anything?? who knows
i got mike vick jersey he wore in prison basketball autographed 1of1

I had the Derrick jeter autographed rookie card, sold it for 500, paid 24 dollars for it in 2011. Edit: I had the deck card
Hi: Speaking of error cards, I have a 1991 (I think) Stadium Club Dennis Rasmussen card with nothing on the back. It's just beige blankness. Ever heard of this?
I thought the 1992 Donruss Update Kenny Lofton would have made the list

Ivan Rodriguez was a top catcher, but it's between him and Mike Piazza.

Pulled some guy named Kobe Bryant auto, sold for not much.biggest regret of my card career
I own that Michael Jordan baseball card I use to collect Michael Jordan Jerry rice. When I was younger I have a rather large collection of cards
How can anyone who doesn't play the game like a pro get into mlb ? Why cant less fortunate would have been great players get into mlb without having a big name or lesser money
I won a mail-in card for Barry Bonds, which is a see-through image of him.
I have a bunch of CARDS MY HUSBAND PASS 2006 NEED TOO SELP

How can you possibly put Mike Piazza in the same sentence as Ivan Rodriguez..........That's like saying Gary Carter was just as good or close to Johnny Bench back in the 70s........that's total blasphemy..........At least Carter was good behind the plate, where as Piazza was sooooo bad on defense and especially throwing out runners......I was shocked they put him in the hall so quickly. I have a bunch of late 80s early 90s cards I tried to sell for $100 on Craigslist but no one replied.
Nice info thanks alot! I do have the Alex Rodriguez die cut and top rookie somewhere in a box. Well got my day planned out for me.
I wish I could find someone that could give me some advice or help me get my cards graded in my area
Ok I found the Alex Rodriguez and the Derek Jeter foil who do I call
🔥
Great video! Really enjoy these. Look forward to more.
Wow. Thanks Chris. The 80's and 90's videos brought back the memories. My goal sometime later in the year is to pick up some of the less expensive guys that have been graded. Are cards given out by MacDonalds considered to be valid cards?
I have some Error cards and I been researching them and they are very pretty penny alot of money
Two lists for one video, what a great value.
1992 stadium club jack murphey Derek jeter??
I have a barry sanders detriot lions rookie card cant find anything on it help please
I got some of these in a binder. How do you get graded and sell?
I have the 92 score franchise both of those cards in my collection.
Was at first surprised not to see the '93 Bazooka Todd Helton on the list but I guess it could be considered a parallel even though it was from it's own set. Great video as always, I sure wish I had bought some of these 20 or 30 years ago!
I think the estimate for the NNOF psa 10 is super low lol
Thanks for the video. Loved 90-91, tolerated 92, then 93+ simply priced me out. Saw junk wax evolve into gold plated cards in this video.
Not sure if I mentioned it here, that Nolan Ryan tuxedo is currently in the new stadium club 2021 as well ! Good stuff !!
Those Desert Shield cards were also given to employees of Topps.
Everyone of these guys should be Hof'rs. Including Bo. A ton of future value here. Also plenty of insert gold sitting in unopened peak junk wax.
Definitely not bo…ridiculous
Lol... sounds like you're giving a sales pitch. There's a reason it's called the junk wax area...
Bo didn't play nearly enough to achieve HOF numbers.
I have multiple 5k boxes of early 90’s junk wax. Need to go through them some day. They actually survived better than the cards I put in binders and top loaders because they were kept at my parents house after I moved out. And unfortunately a lot were UV damaged and moisture damaged 😭
These kids don’t know BO
It's a crime that Pedro Martinez is nowhere on the base card list. The existence of his '91 UD final edition probably hurts the value of his cadillac '92 Bowman card, but still.
the ungraded cards are like 99 cents
A shrewd card shop owner fleeced me outta my ‘92 bowman box I bought on a lark at Sam’s club. I traded almost all of my cards chasing shaq rookies(skybox, ud, topps). I had no idea what I had as a 10 y/o. Little did he know my shaqs eventually passed up the bowman value, only took 20 something years. Long game ha
Wow I had that 94 upper deck Jordan as a kid
How would I know my baseball cards are valuable?
Can you put up a list of the 300 best baseball cards
1991 Donruss Elite was really cool back then. If only I knew to take care of them better when I got some. LOL. Weird because the base 1991 Donruss may be the ultimate poster child for the ‘Junk Wax Era’
So true about 1991 Donruss!
I have so many of these but they're not graded.
I always knew I should hold on to that MJ card.
This was informative. Thank you
Thank you for this breakdown, I have collected sports cards and memorabilia since the mid '70s, and this video really renewed my interest in the hobby. Crazy how undervalued Hoffman's rookie is. Definitely seems like a good pickup at current prices
Totally!
I have a jumbo of that Michael Jordan
Have a bunch of unopened packs and have no idea what I’m getting into . Looking for some help sorting through them .
Wish I could add a photo to this comment thread
How much for chipper Jones rookie card
Ok, now I'm truly confused due to , only last week you had other cards worth phenomenally more
Which cards are you referring to?
A very measured and calculated path guiding Cabeza de Brasil along the path
You’ll get nothing following the path; but maybe you’ll get to refinish some stuff in marble, which is suuuper cool
Is Billy Wagner related to Honus Wagner?
That's not johnny Damon's only rookie
I think Piazza had 92 Donruss Phenoms
Why isn't Ken Griffey Jr 1992 Classic not considered an RC??
Griffey's Rookie cards are from 1989
I have that Frank Thomas card from the end with a different error. I have always wondered the value
error cards are really hard to value. i have a mike macfarlane from that same Topps set that just has no back. cardboard color for the entire back. unfortunately he's not a star player but the error is so weird and rare the card may still have some value.
would have liked to see Ichiro Suzuki's Japanese cards included here...
