I can’t believe I came across this UA-cam video. I wasn’t even looking for it. I have nearly this entire set. I have lots of duplicates too. This is nuts. 🤯
Yeah its bs bro lol.
@@CleveTime what is bs?
Dude I got the same set with a bunch of duplicates also and somehow I don't know how this got in my algorithm that was not looking for it
Yeah I have most of these cards and doubles too. And this randomly came up on my UA-cam.
@@Tommy3621 wondering if I should hold on to them a little longer...
The reason the Mark Jackson #205 is so valuable is because the Menendez brothers (Eric and Lyle) are sitting court side to the far left of Jackson. Lyle confirmed that they attended the game a month after they murdered their parents and just months before they were investigated as the prime suspects. In case you don't know, they're both serving life in prison for the murders.
That is interesting.. I had to look at it again in the video, and there they are .. mindblowing
Thanks . I was wondering why this card was selling for that much. Mark Jackson wasn’t a star.
I checked the comments to make sure someone mentioned this. It was alluded to in the video that there was a lot more about this card to discuss, but he didn't mention anything. It is an iconic card.
I have everyone of these right now and have never had them rated. They are all in a case and have been in plastic since I purchased them when I was 11 years old. I'll be 43 this year.
Me too!!!!!
I remember NBA Hoops was the only brand I could afford back then!
Me three. Class of 97””. All we used to do trade cards in the back of class
I have three unopened boxes that I am sure will have all of these top cards in them from when I was like 11 years old
@@phetinthasanh7083 IKR , every now and then I could afford upper deck or skybox
These videos are amazing thank you! I just opened all my boxes sealed from back in the day I have most all of these cards untouched condition. Going to send them to get graded. These videos motivated me
A lot of people don’t understand the lore of the Sam Vincent card. It wasn’t just because of it being MJ. That card is the only card ever made featuring Jordan in his infamous #12 jersey. Quick story, Bulls showed up in Orlando for just a regular away game and someone in the back had snuck in and stolen MJ’s game jersey. The only other jersey they had that he could wear was a generic #12 jersey with no name on the back. That was the game featured on this card, which is what drives the price of it up so high.
Great information I have all those cards
Jordan also put 64? Points because of his stolen jersey
@@aceassn716 no, Jordan dropped 64 on Orlando in ‘93 during Shaq’s rookie year. Shaq and Orlando actually won that game too behind Shaq’s 29 points and unglodly 24 rebounds. But MJ’s jersey was stolen on Valentine’s Day of the 1990 season. So two different games.
I totally forgot about the stolen Jersey. by any chance did you hear about the Mark Jackson card? something about the Melendez Brothers being in the background
@@deeznuttzfrombrooklyn2082 yep, the Melendez brothers are courtside to the left of Mark Jackson in the card. Crazily enough, the game being played and them being there actually occurred in between the time they murdered their parents and when they were arrested. That’s a nutty “Easter egg” card in the set
Seeing those packs takes me back to my dad, brother and I spending hours upon hours in card shops and shows. The smell came to me as soon as I saw the pack. Good times.
You do such a great job on these videos! So helpful. Thanks for all your good work! I certainly give you props on my videos for all the legwork you do!
The Mark Jackson card is valuable because of the Menendez brothers in the background ("picture was taken after the murders/before they were caught")
Facts. Man I loved the 90’s
I read that they used the life insurance money to buy those courtside seats...
who cares stop worshiping sickos. thats whats wrong with the world we worship criminals and their image and they continue to do it. should be worth nothing bc of it
Yes, I have 5 of them in mint condition but not graded
What a coincidence !!!!
God, I miss that old magic logo. I grew up in Orlando and was at the game when Jordan had the 12 jersey. Bulls games were so different from every other game.
I love that you rippevd on Dee haha !!! I have a few of these sets from when I was younger, I love them.
First time watching your channel, great video. I’ve recently been organizing all my cards, I have quite a few 90s Hoops cards.
The Sam Vincent card is awesome. That’s the one game that Michael Jordan had to wear an unnamed jersey number 12 because someone stole his regular jersey. Great videos glad I found the channel!
Congrats on your UA-cam 1 year anniversary! Love these cards! I ripped a couple of boxes when I was much younger! Love the stories behind the Mark Jackson and Sam Vincent cards! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
your video on this set last year is what got me to go through all my old boxes of cards. I have multiple copies of nearly all these cards. Which is pretty much the definition of said Junk Wax Era. It was fun going through them. No plans on selling or grading as the odds are against it being worth going through all that. But the point of collection cards as a kid is to go through memory lane later on in life. And that was beyond a fun experience.
Just caught this comment and it made my day! Glad you're enjoying the content and all the nostalgia 👍
If you ever decide to let them go I would gladly take them off your hands 😊 I just got my son into collecting cards and doing that I've actually became very interested in it lol
Congratulations on making a year buddy, keep on the good work.
Crazy to think I had all of these cards as a kid growing up 😔😤
So did everyone else. That is why these cards are pretty much worthless
Congratulations! I'm a fan of the Bird. Didn't realize that about the price cards. Great video
Thank you and I appreciate you stopping by!
I had that entire set. My 16 year old brother sold it to a pawn shop for $20 bucks back in 2003... when I was at work.
You're lucky you would have got $10 today
The pawn shop got beat ! Your brother made out !

Great info. Have to get a few of these graded myself lol
Wow! Alotta Jordan and Sam Vicent steals the title!LOL Great video! First time watcher!!
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary from your first upload! Have greatly enjoyed the vids in the past year and it’s helped with some card moves, as well.
Awesome! So happy to hear that the content has helped out and you're enjoying the channel!
@@tenclubcards 🙌 Thanks again!
Congrats on your 1 year anniversary on YT. You did a whole lot better than me on my channel lol. I think I am already over my year mark as well. You know the coincidence of this video Steve? I am trying to complete my PSA registry on the Kemp rookies @ PSA 10. There are only 3 on the checklist and this hoops one I have been shopping for this week. Freaking scary shit lol.
Thank you! Hahaha...that's too funny! Crazy timing for sure. Got your Ken Griffey Jr shipped out today 👍

Hoops had great looking cards. I have this in storage back home
I have all of these and more in my basement. Had no idea they were worth anything. Thanks for the video!
I had so many Cards from the 90's. All lost in Storage when my family went through a major money issue when I was a kid. My Little brother also had a ton of those original super valuable Pokémon cards. 2 or 3 each of some. Not sure what he did with them.
I need to go back through my cards. History road. Thank you
My new favourite channel!
New to you, but I dig your content!!!
damn...i have multiple of all of these! about 10 of the Mark Jacksons and over 10 of the Vincent, i was looking through some old boxes of cards to sell since i'm moving and downsizing and didn't think i had much but interesting to see this vid before I sold everythign.
I just got that color Jordan card awhile back. I didn't know it was that much. Great video !!! Subscribe
Great info & stats ❣️✌️
Congrats on 1 year anniversary 👏
Thank you Armando! Have a great weekend my friend!
@@tenclubcards always enjoys your videos...keep them coming 👍
Didn't even mention the Menendez brother in the 1990 hoops mark jackson thats the only reason that card had any popularity...
Great job brother. 😎
I have so many of these cards still. I was just looking at them.
Pretty crazy gringo pretty crazy
I got a bunch and the skybox. Member like yesterday in Rockville God bless those days and airwalk shoes lol
When I was a kid, I brought a whole box of these 1990 hoops cards. They are probably in a box at my parents. They already open, I know I have at least 10 of those Sam Vincent cards. I need to find my old cards
The Sam Vincent card was intresting. With Jordan wearing #12. After they found out his was stolen they sent out about 5 people to search the stadium inside and outside to find a red 23 with Jordan on back. Never found one. Could you Imigine loaning one to them and getting it back autographed after he scored 49points. That's life, being in the right place at the right time.
I started my collection of all these cards back in 89 and I’m 47 now I’m going to pass them onto my son so he can hold on to them for another 50 years hopefully! And Who knows what they’ll be worth 50 years from now!!!
Probably not much more than currently.
I got the kemp for sale if your interested
Great info! I too like many of your viewers have 30 year old cards in hard cases! Have not touched in a box! Where can I get these cards graded? Thanks!
I just picked up a ton of these cards for 60 total... Minus the mj's... All mint condition. Sending them out to PSA this week
Congrats to 1 year!!!
I appreciate that and all the continued support Spencer!
They made these cards in the millions as you can see everybody’s got them including me.
Great content
Dam good to know video i have all these cards wild..
Great info. What’s the difference in the PSA grading and how do you know which one you have?
You have to send the card into PSA to get it graded. They assign the grade based on various factors with the card. The higher the grade, the better the card and in turn, the more valuable.
I have that #2 Michael Jordan card. I actually mailed it to him with a letter when I was a kid maybe around 10 yrs old at the time and I was asking for an autograph and he just mailed it back to me unsigned with his initials on the letter but I doubt it was Michael Jordan really initialing it. But that Mark Jackson card is one of the most popular cards because it has the Menedez twins sitting court side after having murdered their parents and going in a spending spree before eventually being arrested and charged for the murders. One of those cards that more popular for the people in the background than for the actual player on the court.
I tried that old mail a card trick, too. I didn't get an autograph either.
I tired that with several athletes. I did get back signed cards from David Robinson and Troy Aikman
They are on the left!
That scarily sounds like what I did. I think Sports Illustrated had a thing where you could mail something to MJ for him to sign. I have most of this set. 💯
@@TraumaER I know the Beckett price guides had all the team addresses in the back. I got them from that and just sent a letter to the team with the player's name on it.
My parents bought this whole set for me on my 10th birthday from our local card collectable store 32 years ago
This was my first complete set of cards, still got them all.
I was surprised by this as well. I have sets and singles from this and other series.
Sweet video!
Thanks Eric and thanks for watching!
I had a lot of these cards and I used them as price tags for my vintage clothing
Great video. If I would of invested all the money I spent on cards in the 90’s and early 2000’s I could probably pay my house off 😂. I kept all of my “good” cards and sold my bulk cards at a garage sale 10 years ago. Some lucky kid is the owner of at least 10 Sam Perkins cards 😉
I'm seeing the top 10 cards of 1990 NBA Hoops are worth abut 3000. Graded 10 mint.
@@venomouscasca are you basing that on the record high prices? Most of those cards won't sniff those prices again. I think that some of those cards probably weren't paid for but if they were the buyers would definitely have remorse.
@@jeffw654 must have been an old article then. The Jordan was listed for $450
Bought the Jordan #65 PSA 10 in Jan 2022 for $350 USD. Super low pop psa 10 as theres obviously ridiculous amount of centering issues. One of the most iconic jordan cards. That dunk shot is so epic.
I have at least 2-3 of the MJ dunk PSA cards. Now i gotta go find it. need me some money LOL
@@sebastianliu2009 ….. me and you both
Question, I have a couple of these but they're not worth anything unless graded 9 or 10 right? Is there a point in getting them graded? I guess I could do it if I thought they were 9 or 10??
Can't believe Bill Cartwright drove that #1 cards value up...
Congrats on one year. Curious to where you get your pop numbers from?
Thank you! I get the populations directly from the PSA website www.psacard.com/pop/basketball-cards/1990/hoops/40300
I spent the whole part of the early 90s collecting these cards as a hobby and I think that I still have a few michael Jordan cards in my Mom's storage but they are kinda damaged by now.
Love how you give us the 9s.
Same here, I got most if not all of these, plus 2 or 3 copys of some
I had multiple of those #9 Shawn Kemp rookie cards back in my basketball card collecting days in the 90’s cause he was my favorite player growing up. Unfortunately I’m not sure what ever even happened to all my basketball cards now all these years later.
I actually had 40 Sean kemps my friend traded me and there were 2 of those in the mix… lost them at 15 years old due to a very fkkd up family siutuation. I also had 9 micheal Jordan’s… whoever ended up with them knew my name is was on the binder they were all in… still makes me sick
I still have all my old school basketball cards this packs back then they used to cost me 25 cents I used to buy 4 packs for one dollar but one day I decided to buy the whole box for $19.99 so I bought it boxes used to cost low nowadays they cost alot the highest box I paid was $49.99 1996 Upper Deck Collectors Choice cool cards that I still have them all mint condition I have 5 folders full of 90s basketball cards. And one full folder of 80s basketball cards that my cousin gave to me he said he didn't want them he gave me those cards in 1995 I see Michael Jordan cards there I won't sell them never.
I have the Magic Johnson MVP card. I wonder what my Nolan Ryan Rookie of the Year from his time on the Angles is worth.
I have that Sam Vincent and mark Jackson with the Mendez brothers in the background LOL
Great Video
I appreciate that and thanks for checking it out 🍻
Is there a market for old Beckett's? just curious? like issue # 1,2,3. Football/Basketball
I have most of those cards in my collection in a card binder. Sitting in it for 33 years. All in very good condition. Worth grading?
I have the originals of all of these cards. I started collecting them 30-35 years ago.
So I have a PSA 10 Sam Vincent but have no clue as to what platform to sale it through. Can anyone offer assistance?
ok, how do you get the psa prices when they charge insane amounts to grade cards? Any card grading resources you'd recommend? Any sales outlets you would recommend?
There's the rub. You gotta wonder if the grading companies have ppl making these vids. You put out hundreds of dollars to get cards graded then have to hope you can make a profit.
I have question, I look to sell some my card how go about doing it, also on your list I have some of the cards on your list like Michael Jordan, Gary P and others
Also with that Mark Jackson Card, the Menendez brothers were sitting in the background. It was said supposedly after the murder of the parents.
I have that card
very true. The MB murdered their parents in 1989 at their Beverly hills mansion ( according to Wikipedia) and then it was at the 1990 NBA basketball game in NY.
Congrats on 1 year
Thanks Brian! How bout dem Raiders 😲
@@tenclubcards it's on like donkey kong this year 🤣
I have all but the Isaiah. Back when I was 9 buying the 40 cent packs.
Hey great video. I have 6 jordan cards and a couple Hakeem could I send you pictures and you tell me if they have value?
How do I get my cards graded? I have that #2 Jordan and a few others.. I also have that same Jordan with a yellow surround instead of grey! Really curious as I have many old cards and I’m thinking of starting to sell them. Ty for any info!
The grading companies are charging up the Ying Yang to get a card graded and apparently there's a large backlog.
Ah hell, I had to of those Sam Vincent cards back then.
I do have shawn kemp rc card and mark jackson too
I have so many cards. Grew up late 80’s -and 90’s. I’m sure there is some value because I traded for awhile. But now they are all in my garage. Not sure what to do
I have every card on this list multiple times with the exception of the Mark Jackson Menendez Brothers background card. DCOG
I have all these cards. Treasured em all these years. Bout to turn 40 in june
I own the shawn kemp rookie card, larry bird card and also charles barkley, domnique wilkins and patrick ewing cards. i have severl 1990 nba hoops cards and football, baseball cards from the 90's but dont know where to take them to be looked at or sold.
What’s so crazy is out 44 and had all these cards but didn’t know what I had!
The Marc Jackson card has the famous killers of their parents, the Menendez brothers sitting front row just to the left of Jackson. How funny!
Damn. I had no idea that Sam Vincent card was so much!! I'm going to have to go back through my cards immediately!!! I'm just getting back into this.
Lol crazy as a kid I collected cards I have all these stored away some of these i remember about having 15 of each card. . . time to see what I have
I have every single card with an extra and some triples for each. I never thought of grading.
I have all of these in a album been locked in my gun cabinet since I was a kid and I'll be 44 this year
Great video! Question - I have multiples of many of these cards especially Michael Jordan in mint condition. They have been in a plastic case for 20 to 30 years. What should I do?
Take a look at surface, centering, corners, and edges. That’s the 4 sub-categories of grading. Use lighting and the zoom on a camera (I just use the camera on my phone fully zoomed in). Try to remember that PSA puts cards under a 10X microscope. So a 10 is hard to get on something that old. A PSA 10 MJ will get you around 300 bucks, but it’s just up to you if you think it’s worth the $100 risk (cost of standard grading with PSA) to try to get a 10. Hope that helps.
Do nothing bro those prices are fake and no one will actually buy them at these prices. The Jordan card is really worth about $20 max
@@CleveTime if it’s graded it’s obviously better
If I have a misprint of one of these cards is it worth getting graded?
I recently bought the 1990 hoops Team Night Gary Payton in a PSA 10 for 72 bucks.
I was given a binder with some of the cards mentioned in this list
I smiling like a Chestshire cat right now
GREAT INFO. THANKS BUDDY. NEW SUB HERE. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. ALOHA
I have six complete sets of these. And pages and pages of more. I never thought they would be worth anything. Sometimes you look and they’re worth seven dollars the next time you look there’s one for sale for $5000. I’m going to sell my car collection and comic book collection but it’s so frustrating trying to figure out a price
Well damn I have over half of those cards, I guess I better hold on to them another 20 years lol!
I have 17 of the 20 cards. I bought them 30 years ago.
I have a lot of these cards as well.
Is it safe to say no matter the shape they are in if right off the bat it’s not perfectly centred , that it’s not a psa 10 or even 9?
That's correct and you have the right mindset for grading. I can't tell you how many comments I read from people that say they have these cards and they are in "mint" or "pristine condition" from their childhood. The truth is you can go buy a brand new factory sealed box and the majorty of brand new cards will most likely be PSA 7s-8s on centering alone. I've opened factory cases (20 unopened boxes) from the junk wax era and literally only found 10-20 cards worth submitting out of all 20 boxes
@@tenclubcards 10-20 wow that really puts it into perspective lol
I have about 3 full sets of these , untouched in albums since the day they were opened
I got this entire set in plastic in a binder
