How to deal with police as a lawyer? | Amish Aggarwala

- There have been several cases of police nagging people in the name of investigation and lawyers are the only hope they have to run to when faced any such harassment from the police! No matter in which area of law you are, Criminal law will still be relevant to you and therefore, knowing how to deal with the police is crucial.
Multiple instances will come where you have to deal with police like in white-collar crimes, in fraud cases, perjury, non-compliance, etc. Thus, projecting that you mean business and you can’t be taken for a ride in front of the police is of utmost importance.
If you have this skill, you don’t have to be afraid of any kind of mistreatment from anyone, ever again because knowing how to tackle police and knowing how to seek the desired action from them can give you a gargantuan edge in personal as well as in your lawyer’s life. If you are a young lawyer, this skill is of utmost importance in order to make people take you seriously.

I feel happy to the fact that I opted Law to study and to the fact that i subscribed Lawsikho.Thank you..
With all due respect, Abhyuday Sir, please let Amish Sir complete his sentences before you ask your doubts. I agree your doubts are highly valuable as well, but asking your doubts mid-sentence breaks the flow of the story being told by Amish Sir. I highly appreciate the sessions and overall work being conducted by Lawsikho, but this small and humble request is made. Thanks.
Oh .my L. R
Definately
Wanted to say the same.. Amish sir always narrates very insightfull stories, but some or other intrupts him in nost ot the videos at Law Seekho..
Kindily let him speak.. He always gives very realistic anecdotes and insights..
We'll I felt the same
Abhyudaya sir is legend guys amis sir is only dealer
@35:40 for the main content.
Thank me later.
Thanks
Nice attempt but even after waiting for 2+ hours the discussion didn't come even close to the topic. What a advocate do in court is different but what expected from this topic is how an advocate handle the case in police station before it comes to the court for trial
It would seem the seminar was just a cover for the compere to clear his doubts.
This guy has Padhaku face🥴
Underrated channel. I wish to know why few judicial officers are quitting right after the compulsory working period.
@S N hey ! Do I know u
@S N cool. Let's be friends 🤝
have a good inside but very less about police thing
Police does a lot of drama when one goes to file FIR and will do their best to reduce the charges or not file an FIR at all if it is against a big person.
Can one file and FIR online instead?
Because usually whosoever files FIR first strengthens his case.
Can a writ be filed in High court under article 226... foolish question asked by the COO of lawsikho.
😂😂 right
This could have been a very interesting session if there were not too many digressions and interruptions. The host I think is very impatient and is spoiling the flow of the speaker as well as the listeners. Good luck!

I will file a suit against you using my name for likes 🤬.

I'm in police service yet watching this video to see how lawyers work. Thoroughly explained everything, great efforts 👍
Just teach your department that they clear a exam to get police job so don't act or behave like uneducated or 3 rd class department .. because the language of low levels constable low your department reputation so tell them to be in law n order.. because public is head of your department

With due respect, I would like to mention my feed back here. I listened to the session for 1 hour, but still the conversation is going on regarding how our presentation should be in the courts in front of Magistrates. However, the title of the session says "How to deal with police as a lawyer?." The title gave me different expectation, but I did not feel that session is going in that way..
Hello Uday,
Thanks for reaching out to us. The answer lies in the question. Only if you learn how to present your client's case confidently before a Magistrate, you will be able to deal with the police and other relevant stakeholders in the criminal justice system with full confidence.
Happy learning!
Team LawSikho
Fair enough, but to have a title as how do I deal with X, and having a video on how do I do Y because Y is needed to do X is just a misleading title.

Can anyone tell me?
Can police arrest a law student in civil or family matter?
Why not
How to do a LLB as I am working ?
Such an insightful discussion! But interrupting the speaker in the middle is really annoying and disturbing.
The session was not helpful and was infact wayward going all over the place. Please try and keep a session structured to the topic.
can you make a video on getting into corporate law without LL.M & a separate video on corporate law in start ups
Hi Vaibhav, thanks for the suggestions. We have covered such topics in our earlier videos. Please check out our "An hour with LawSikho" playlist.
My mother was murdered and I gave a written complaint against criminal but Fir was not registered. A lawyer went with me but didn't speak a single word at police station. A gave him his fee. Later on I came to know Lalita case FIR mandatory for cognizable offence. Lairs are lawyers and I am sure he has taken money from accused. If he would have argument at police station with SHO then my FIR would have been registered. I studied and from internet I came to know about cognizable offence and Lalita judgment. Third class professionals lawyers. Be away from 3 coats black, white and peti co-+@t . Lawyers, doctor and wom ----en
If FIR not filed by police, u can file private complaint directly to magistrate.
Pls go to see any magistrate in ur nearest sessions court.
If its true then its pitiable and sad.
What u are saying is true ..in India it should be made mandatory law studies which ever stream they may choose as a compulsory subject from class 11 ..that's the only solution i see to stop many problems
Very very thanks sir,I am advocate,i came to practice Jan 2018.this is very interesting. I liked

Sir i like u and u r speech for everyone topic.
Y lawyers don't want to work hardcore criminal cases
Morality issues. I myself refuse to accept Divorce cases and hardcore crimes.
All the succesful criminal lawyers (the one that works for actual criminals and not accidental criminals) make a lot of Big money. But they have lot of health problems, have a disabled child, bedridden wife or some other Karma hitting them back in someway today or tomorrow.
Blood money is always a curse.

The primary duty of an advocate is not to satisfy his client.
his primary duty is to bring out the truth.
How about this premise to start it all off ?
Justice in India will happen in quick time if this basic tenet is stuck to.
The only duty is to defend the client, no matter how heinous the act might be. That's how you win and that's how you get clients. You are lawyer and not Sadguru.😂

Sir, I had filed a consumer case in 2005 till date the lawyer is telling that the consumer forum is still doing the case (it was a car purchase case) should I believe him . What I can do please advice
No, don't believe him. Consumer cases usually take 1-2 years to get decided by forum. Ask your advocate that you want to see all the case documents and want to go through your file. Ask your advocate's munshi to provide your file to you. You can even check the case status online / can ask court clerk as well. Begin with asking the next date of the case.
504 or 509, 323 bailable
Thank you sir
The other guy keeps interrupting and irritating the speaker. However the speaker is very good in not getting distracted and gets back to what he wanted to finish.
Women Advocate:
Matrimony for a male.
Police station Female Advocate.
Wonderful 👍 session for learning . thanks to Amish Sir and thanks to Abhuday Sir
Statutory provision and constitutional provision can't be mingled up...... In Jharkhand HC defects is pointed out for Sec.482 r/w Art.226...... reason may be that a constitutional jurisdiction could never be supplemented by statutory jurisdiction or vice-versa.
It is most noticeable in every district level, police stop the passers-through police station, also towards the road to the hospital and even in front of court, police stops them to check up the DL and Rc other things. This is a kind of atrocity to the public to someone or somebody hurrying to relief for aggrieved impliedly or expressly. My question is what act has permitted to do such places and what act prohibits this kind of atrocities for the ambit of public welfare.
Taking home this point
