Who in the Great State of Texas would give this a thumbs down. It had to be an accident.
Best Texas band ever! If the Flatlanders don't bring a smile to your face, you may be beyond help.
Ha Ha Help, olny joking they are flipping great, hard-rocking country blues, folk ete, they are the tops
I am unquestionably beyond help. And they still bring a smile to my face.
Or dead!
@@henrypierce8900 Bite me Henry, why would you say that?
If flatlanders dont bring a smile to your face you may be beyobd help.
Or dead!
There are dozens of covers of this great song but The Flatlanders show us how it should be done. This is fantastic.
Jimmy dale was one of the first to rec this towns classic. He joined jimmys band to sing it wirh him in the ulster hall belfast many years ago.
The flatlanders first album changed things for a lot if musicans. Such a great recording, but the more electric stuff is great too. Respect is overdue to the texas flatlanders. From the irish wetlanders.
His "dad" was named "Brian." And he was talented, too. Saw him at my father's funeral. God bless them, All!
That's my cousin, Jimmie Dale Gilmore!!!
Jimmy Dale! What a voice! Won't you come and haul away my mind!
To the flatlanders of texas, thanks for the music through the years. From the wetlanders of ireland!
Garrison Keillor did Prairie Home Companion in Lubbock about 7 years ago and these guys were the musical guests. My girlfriend fell in love with Jimmy Dale Gilmore.
Sputnik's Mom , Loved seeing Joe Ely at ELI’s club on 19th st in Lubbock in the 1970s .

LOVE LOVE LOVE you Guys, always have and Always Will! Joe, Jimmy Dale and Butch! Go Harmonica Go!
Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!
Jimmie Dale Gilmore is one heck of a guitarist. He rolls a mean bowling ball, too! LOL
He was clearly over the line!! Mark it zero!!
yeah but he wuddn't over
You may not be a country fan (got to admit I'm not) but The Flatlanders have got to get your feet tapping.
Had awesome opportunity to see them in Albany NY about when the tour started. Texas native in New England. They may be more relevant up here than they know. Berkshire County, MA guys? Check the area out
Thee BEST version of this song!!! HANDS 👐 DOWN!!!! 😛👍🍺
His voice is uniquely suited to this song. Love it.
It's great. First time I hear The Flatlanders. And just before I discovered Jimmie Dale Gilmore. And Dave Alvin. Such moments are great. It's hard to find good new music and artists and every time I do I feel good.
Jimmie Dale Gilmore's After Awhile album is a great place to start. Beautiful music!
Takes me back to loose leaf and 10 in the wind.
Can't beat that music 🎶 talent!!!
So freaking awesome!
"Always a hoot"~Jerry
This performance is simply perfection.✌🤗
Hell yeah! If your toe's not tapping you might need to visit your Cardiologist.
Super, Great... I love it 👍🎶🎸🎤💋💕
Now just wait a minute here.
What I just saw was something that could have been from 1,000 years ago, or from 1,000 years from now.
If you don't get that, I can't explain it to you.
Got it from a horses mouth, "White Freight Shakers" rolling down the Hwy.
Over the line Smokey!!!
👍🚂❤️🎶
Always Just Right. mmmmmm hhhhhmmmmm.
Wowser Jimmy I know you and Joey but who is the mean guitar player and the guy playing harmonica and singing kind of a cross between Conway Twitty and Johnny Cash cool cool can't believe I've never seen this
Butch Hancock is the third member of the trio, wonderful songwriter. Robbie Gjersoe is the guy playing all the great solos.

Robbie Gjersoe, who I've also seen with just JDG. He's amazing.
