Having stood about 30 feet from Floor while she was performing, I can attest to the otherworldly stage presence. It is beyond amazing.
Saw them, HER in Argentina. Was there on work and got lucky. Floor is about 6-6 in her stager boots. She is such a performer.

You should do the entire Wacken 13 show. It was magical. Every song is different yet all epic Nightwish and the recording is unmatched in my opinion.

StoryTime was my introduction to the Nightwish journey.......three years ago and it hasn't stopped. You would note that in the first song that you reacted to (GLS) Floor had a mini skirt-type dress and here she has a leather-type pants.
That's because this song was performed before the other and Floor had suffered a wardrobe malfunction which entailed her to change. Just a note. Welcome back guys
The outfit change was by plan during her break, the wardrobe malfunction happened when she came back out for Bless the Child- she ran out and just about missed her cue.

Hi again Phil and Sam. Another terrific react by both of you to our beloved Nightwish with Floor on lead vocals. By the way, a bit of trivia for you. When Nightwish released the DVD and the high-def Blu-ray disk for this concert, unfortunately, the Blu-ray used a frame rate of 24 Frames-Per-Second instead of the actual recording which was 25 FPS. This caused all of the videos from the Blu-ray disk to be off speed by 4 percent (causing the problem with Floor's lips being out of sync with the audio, which was correct speed on both discs). Fortunately, there is a fully remastered, high-definition version of every song on this Wacken 2013 show (props to Nightwish Arena for the incredible quality video and sound). Wait until you hear Marco (bass player) sing. He has a tremendous and powerful voice and his harmonies with Floor are pure gold. And wait until you see Troy (he was not on stage in the videos you have reacted to). Troy Donockley is the British member of the band and is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist who specializes in Irish ( Uilleann) pipes, all kinds of whistles as well as bouzouki (a type long-neck lute) and electric and acoustic guitars.

The "Score" of a piece of music is essentially the music written down. The sheet music; all the dots and lines on paper is called the score. From this the sound tracks of movies became known as the score. Composers would be hired to "score" a movie.

You should check out a Dutch tv show called Beste Zangers 2019 for more Floor, half a dozen singers sing each others songs or their favorites, the first episode when they hear Floor for the first time is great as are all the others.

Imaginaerum, in my view is the best, most imaginative Nightwish album. Annette sang the album beautifully. That said, Floor just takes ownership of this track from the album, just as she commands the whole Nightwish back catalogue. But, notice, that Floor never presents herself as the ‘star’ of Nightwish, the NW experience being Floor, the whole group and the music itself. Keep on board for the NW magic, you will not regret it.
Just what I wanted to write, and Floor put very creative endings to both Storytime and Ghost Love Score.

The sign Imaginaerum behind them is the name of the album this song is from. It's also the name of a movie they made. If you watch the movie Peter pan and the song will make sense.

You are entirely correct with the movie soundtrack comment - Tuomas Holopainen (keyboardist/main composer) has explained that for him writing starts with a story he wants to tell, then he visualises it as a movie, then writes how that should sound.

🇫🇮❤you reacting to this song that was the lead single of their 7th album, "Imaginaerum" (2011). The song tells the story of an old man on his deathbed recalling a story to a young person.
Tuomas Holopainen, the band's keyboardist & main composer/songwriter has said that "Storytime" is a nice representative of the themes of the album.
The idea for the official music video was born when Holopainen wondered in an interview why no-one had made a remake of the film Peter Pan at the time, and pondered on what his version of the score to the scene in which ‘Walking in the Air’ plays would sound like.
Was it just me, or were the audio and visual off by like....a half second or so? I dunno. But a great reaction. Romanticide or Ever Dream from the same concert would be the next ones I would recommend. But, in reality, these guys really don't miss. I would recommend sticking to live performances. This is one of the few bands I would rather hear live.

Nope. Not just you. It was indeed off a bit.
We are working on correcting the latency issue. We have consistently been trying to improve our setup over the past few months but we now have multiple audio/video inputs & outputs we're trying to accommodate (because we have two videos recording, two headphone sets & a mic). FPS vary in the recording and rendering process so the problem has not been simple to resolve. Viewers wanted us to wear dual headphones sets and this has resulted in increased lag time that we're now troubleshooting.
This is so damn happy metal. Always brings a big smile on my face! Great reaction guys, I will follow you through the Nightwish journey.

This song is about the telling of stories and our imagination. Sleeping Sun about a solar eclipse is a really nice song, Romanticide is a bit heavy but is about the end of Romance or a relationship still a very good song though. Thank you guys for your reaction you've gained a subscriber today.

Is is Floor. A version of the name Flora. Tuomas (keys) is the main composer for music and lyrics of Nightwish. He loves movie soundtracks and really knows how to paint a musical soundscape to tell the story of the song. It helps quite a lot to have the queen telling the story. Floor has operatic and musical theater training which allows her to express the emotions of the song with both myriad vocal colors and techniques as well as body movements and facial expressions to add a touch of acting to her performance. She lives the story of the song and her passion for singing is written on her smiling face all throughout the show.
Nightwish has many different musical styles from very heavy to Celtic folk/rock. So if you like your music softer let us know and we can guide you to your sweet spot. Otherwise, just enjoy the show with all of its twists and turns along the way.
Remember, many song are expressing a yearning to recapture the lost innocence of youth. Thus the Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland references in this song.

I am a person who loves rock music from a very young age. I've been listening to it for over 50 years. Every Saturday I listen (at high levels) to 3 or 4 hours of rock (my neighbors are already used to this). Every Saturday I conclude my listening with "Ghost Love Score", and this live version of Waken. It's fantastic, unique, and salad. with a huge performance by Floor Hansen.

Rainbow keyboardist had 7 or 8.
Some of the older bands had a lot of keyboards all for different sounds. Todays keyboards can switch sounds on a single keyboard meaning they need less.
Tuomas is essentially an entire orchestra to himself. They all control different sounds and effects. The fact he uses only three is astounding. 😃

Well, i am happy that you enjoyed to an Degree:) Surely they are 10 Years older nowadays, but the Quality of Performance lacks nothing, at least for the Most of us.
I just wanted to add, that you two are such an easy to Listen and watch Couple, no geeking out, but also no Snobism( right word i hope:)), and i was positive surprised, most recap Channels summon some Facts up correct after first Vid, but you did brake down everthing on point, Wacken, Floor, Keyboardprops, etc. And that comfort for sure our Fansouls, that you take em for real, and not as an easy click amasser! Man, been a NW fan since 2002 and it always tickles me to see people discover them.
This tour, beginning with Anette as singer before Floor was called in, was 572 days long and reached 34 countries, more than 100 concerts! The band is so tight and connected. All of them still having fun you can see. Once in a decade/Century concert! You will enjoy Marko's vocals on Romanticide or The Islander or, to go way back, High Hopes - their Pink Floyd tribute.

I love their performance - The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere. Based on the book The Greatest Show on Earth by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins. It's almost 22 mins long, has some narrated parts by Richard himself & u must watch till the very end. Stunning song...rare to see such bold creativity in bands!

There si actually a great documentary of that Wacken Festival by an asian reporter :D The village Wacken is really really tiny and mostly very very old people. They all get engaged even if tis just for flagging down cars at the parking lot and giving directions or selling beer. Really amazing. It was a very small festival with 500 people back in the day and grew so big and its amazing that the whole village takes part in it and is welcoming all the musicians and so many people from all over the world into their tiny village

Just found you channel about 60min ago doing a great reaction to REN -Money Game, Rens music goes back 10yrs and some of his early stuff is fantastic as well but also great to see you do Nightwish as Floor is a storyteller much like Ren. We were fortunate to see them live last May in Chicago, what a GREAT show but sad not seeing Marcko with the band. I just did a quick search of your videos and see you haven't found "The Greatest Show on Earth " yet... it is a MUST watch (live in Tampere).... and also do yourself a favor and double back to watch Phantom of the Opera but this time with Floor and Hank - you WONT be dissapointed! Sidenote: Floor was an avid bodybuilder -Cheers!
Another great reaction!! Floor can really sing anything, including death growls as she does in Yours Is An Empty Hope. It was suggested many times that she could even sing the phone book, so she did. You can even find the video on YT.

If you really want to react to a very special nightwish performance you should react to “ the greatest show on earth” live in Tampere. React to this one not the other ones ! It will blow up your mind.
Wait until you see her in 2018 video, she is sporting arm tattoos and "guns". She hits the Bars and Barbells!~ Definitely Romanticide next, which will give you a broader experience of what Nightwish does.
I suggest giving you a song to listen to and probably not the only one. "Shoemaker" is a beautiful piece and I suggest that you research the story so that the song will have so much more depth and will give a more heartfelt meaning.
Storytime is the 2nd track on the Imaginaerum album. The entire album is meant to tell a single story. In my opinion Storytime is meant to set the tone for the rest of the album letting the listener know we're getting ready to take a journey into fantasy. The Wacken 2013 concert was in support of the Imaginaerum album so about half the songs in the concert were from that album. There is also a companion movie called Imaginaerum which plays a big part in how I personally interpret the lyrics.

Floor is the Dutch way of saying "Fleur" which is French for flower. The Dutch and French aren't exactly two peas in a pod.
I have a Waze heard the phrase score when people talking about a movie score like the one for Star Wars or movies like that they have what they call a score and that’s the music in the movie
This was the 2nd singer Anette Olzons song and she wasn't as soprano as Floor is but with a more neutral voice and i kinda prefer that for this song, but it's her time in Nightwish now so she can do as she please, but i recommend listening to the studio version aswell in your own time.
