Cyberpunk Orion might have just become a whole lot more interesting after new leaks came out about a canceled Moon Expansion!

///ABOUT THE GAME///
Cyberpunk 2077 is a Sci-Fi Action RPG game set in the future of 2077 where technology rules and rogue AI's are a huge danger to humanity.
In this game you play as a merc(enary) who finds him or herself in a pile of trouble after trying to pull a heist on one of the biggest,
if not the biggest corporation in Night City. Now all he can do is try and survive by any means necessary before the construct in his head takes over.
He takes on contracts from various fixers and makes diverse connections with all types of characters in the hope of finding himself a cure.

Interesting you mentioned No Coincidence and the Human/AI stuff because I was thinking just that, glad I'm not alone with that.
Also I agree with one of the comments here about The Tower ending not being a viable option because of the stuff surrounding Mikoshi / Alt, the fate of Songbird, and because if The Tower is not the canon ending, it leaves alot of potentially good stories to tell in Orion and beyond.
Though I do like the idea of Militech taking over or at the very least having some influence in Night City. Not sure if CDPR would do this in Orion but I think it can be possible to have a 'Militech influenced' Night City with the Songbird/Moon & the Don't Fear The Reaper endings as Songbird goes to the moon which would be in Nightcorp's interest, the assault on Arasaka Tower, the death of Adam Smasher, and linking Alt to Mikoshi by V would leave a power vacuum as Arasaka's influence in Night City is weakened and it would help set the stage for Militech (Arasaka's main rival) to come in and take Night City. Also the possibility of having save transfers isn't a bad idea for a series like this but ultimately its up to CDPR if they want to pursue that or not.
Anyway, I like the video, I can't wait till Orion comes out.

If the PL ending is to be the "official" end, then that means V did nothing & none of the events of 2077 mattered.
Ex.
In order to get the PL end, So Mi dies or goes back to being a government slave.
Arasaka continues under Yorinobu & Mikoshi still exists, as Alt would never be tapped into the mainframe.
The only one who wins in the PL end is Myers & militech. And with yorinobu controlling the decline of arasaka, I couldn't see him being interested in fighting another Corp War. He'd simply pack up and take arasaka back to Tokyo.
Thus, if PL (The Tower) is to be the canon, then CDPR would have to create a whole new plot device to run the story.
The legend / space ending (as well as sending So Mi to the moon should be canonized. It leaves all the story elements wide open for a sequel, and with that course of events - V could destroy the world. As in rogue AI breaching the blackwall & the total annihilation of humanity, which could be useful to have a new story & hero who stops it.

Finally, someone else sees the problems with the new ending being official.
I'll also add that it's only accessible if you pay another $20-30.
But, I just think there should not have been a cure ending anyway...

I would not be surpised to see Orion released as Cyberpunk 2079, and The Tower ending of Phantom Liberty made canon. There is loads of expansion possibilities in Night City...more areas in megatowers, tunnels under the city, expansion on the edges of the city...even rooftops and underwater. Best of all, although I think V's story is over, we will still be left with a familiar cast of NPC background characters like Rogue and some of the other fixers, the Peralezes [could Orion be a continuation of their story?], Panam, River, Kerry...maybe even Judy. I'd like to see or at least hear of them at some point in the story. We've seen 3 fairly distinct Cyberpunk stories...the base game, Phantom Liberty, Edgerunners...all set in Night City, telling different stories and a new cast of characters. I think Cyberpunk Orion will follow that development trend.
