i saw this band 10years ago in st. louis. it was cold and rainy but when they started playing. the crowd all forgot about the weather and loved it. such an underrated band. excellent.
I can’t tell you how many times I walked into my middle school blasting Wasteland through my headphones thinking I was the coolest 13 year old in the world.
For real. They even put my uncle and my cousin into their music video “novocaine” He’s the dude throwing the ball up in the air. Cousin is one of the kids in it 😂. Jesse is real close to my family and got me into playing their songs and now I’m making my own. Their style of music is just something else.
my city used to do a yearly festival, and the last one they ever did 10 Years played a free show. it was insane, so much so that they cancelled the festival and never did it again. Mostly they cited the cost, but 10 years caused an entire city to mosh pit. It was rad.
Man, I saw 10 Years and Starset in 2015 on a day that was hot and Studio 7 in Seattle was even hotter. Everyone was dripping sweat, but the band was INCREDIBLE. My friends and I BS'd with the band. Super nice guys, great love show. Keep up the great work both bands and keep the content coming Fluff!
I saw Jesse and the boys back at the end of April in Fort Wayne Indiana, sounded so good hoping to see them again soon 🤘. Thanks for the rig rundown Fluff
Fluff thanks for turning me on to 10 Years. Their cover of REM’s Losing My Religion blew me away and I really dig their music. I am a Boomer as the kids say but I am willing to listen to good tunes when I hear them. Digging Dragged Under too. I got to be in the mood usually I start out by listening to System of the Down for a warm up. You guys rock.
A bunch of years ago I won the Six Strings of Madness contest on the Carnival of Madness tour and got to jam with Brian for 30 mins and he told me about the "Wasteland tuning". Love 10 Years
No he said that wrong that's actually an s2 not an se, about triple the price but still way cheaper than a less Paul custom. But I can't lie I like my se Mira with black winters way more than my less Paul studio. Lol
@@boobagrx ahhh! Gotcha, that makes more sense. Thanks man! And very true… my les pauls are in the case and my prs se is on the stand by my amps for a reason, lol!!
I'm one of the regular sound techs for that venue and I was so bummed I was out of town on another gig during this show. I wish I could have been there with y'all lol
I’m confused about the tuning part. He said drop C, then said something about G# which wouldn’t be in drop C lol. Then he says something about standard with a dropped C. What did he mean?? Lol
10 years was awesome when Tate was in the band and Brian was on drums.. seen them three times live with the old line up and it was always great.. I’ve seen them a couple times after Brian switched to guitar and once after they let Tate go and it’s just not nearly as good.. I still listen to their old records all the time but they have been done for a while in my opinion..
Fluff should do the Premier Guitar rig rundowns. He's killing it
agree. he is probably the best guy to do it. His exchanges are killer.
Yeah, and most of the people on premier guitar are typically awkward with the interviewees
@@bolillo5013 Yeah I am by no means a master of conversation but there are more than a few awkward exchanges in those videos. XD
The polyphia rig rundown is the most hilarious and awkward thing I’ve seen.

10 years 10 years
I’m from Knoxville TN so I watched these guys go from local band to what they are today and I’m just so proud of what they have done.
I can’t tell you how many times I walked into my middle school blasting Wasteland through my headphones thinking I was the coolest 13 year old in the world.
I feel the same exact way! Ah the good ole days.
Thanks Gents! Matt, love your tone; carry on please for...at least...another 41 years of great live shows! Props Fluff; great tour!
Man this band is so underrated haven't heard them in a while going and listing to the back log great stuff
10 Years is amazing. So underrated.
I love 10 Years, great band and super nice guys.
Love your In the Whale shirt. We have played with them a few times. Most recently right before your tour in Denver for Punk Rock Saves Lives Fest.
the boyz! 💪
Man I miss all the rig rundowns.
One of my absolute favorite bands \m/

Love rig rundown videos. Do more
Of these!

I purchased Matt’s white 4x12 Bogner Cabinet in 2017. Still sounds killer as it is well broken in.
fluffy seriously you need to start doing you're own brand of "rundowns"
Very cool setup Love hearing about this approach

What a cool dude. Nice info as well.
This guy is playing a stock $500 guitar and rocking it!
Ive got 3 gibsons, and 3 fenders. My stock SE holds up against them.

My friend had one just like that for a while, honestly desert island with only that guitar (and an amp. And hopefully a fuzz pedal), I'd be alright
@@the-np4mr I’m guessing most desert islands don’t have power. My desert island guitar would be an acoustic even though I don’t currently even own one

Fluff should definitely do the Premier guitar interviews
+1 for the wasteland tuning
Bro 😩 finally rig run downs without the host acting completely fake
Cool video fluff. I like rig rundowns to check out what pedals the pros use.
I had the same problem with my push pull tone knob on my prs se. The pots just feel really loose. Changing out the pots for better ones helps.
Great video, Ryan! Would you ever do this for Premier Guitar, as a remote host when bands come through your area?
PRS is awesome.
It has such a unique sound.
I cal the baby a purse or PRS.
Nice!!! 10 years is my shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
Teachable moment with the mics? What (if anything) will you do differently in this scenario next time? What mics were you using, R∅DE?
🤘🏽🤘🏽
This is the guy that inspired me to be a guitar player.
His riffs are awesome.
I loved how he played in the song “running in place”
Re-creating Deftones Around the Fur album tones?
I’m confused about the tuning part. He said drop C, then said something about G# which wouldn’t be in drop C lol. Then he says something about standard with a dropped C. What did he mean?? Lol
wasteland tuning is CGCFCC all # his C is CGCFAD also all #
It used to be C#, but I think they’re tuning down now because of Jesse‘s voice. As you get older you can’t hit the high notes as well
He paid $600 for his Ottobit? Man he got ripped off! lol They are $300 new.
