    Insane sound. Would love to listen to it with muso subwoofer. One doesn’t need it tho. I am waiting for some major sale. $1700 is a bit too much. I’ll buy it in a heart beat for $1000-1200.

    If only they could fix their app for the Uniti line.
    30% of my inputs aren’t registered because the Atom freezes.
    Something about their app framework is seriously flawed.
    Otherwise amazing product and sound, i am sure this one is up there as well

      Will these companies ever get their software right? I own Bluesound Pulse 2i speakers and they have connection issues too. No wonder why true audiophiles still go for wired speakers. They are easier and more reliable.

    Hello 👋 everyone hope all is well. I have a question which speaker 🔊 would you guys recommend for hiphop and reggae music in particular I play these two genres the most from my Iphone. Looking for an all in one speaker 🔊 to play these genres in particular I’m looking for clarity and bass primarily. The two speakers I’m on the dense decking between the Naim Mu-So Qb - 2nd generation Bluetooth speaker verses the Bower Wilkins Formation Wedge. I don’t care about features and extras or pricing I’m just concerned with sound quality period. Can anyone who has heard both of these speakers in person please tell me which one has a warmer sound or better sound of the two speakers especially when it comes down to these all in one speakers 🔊 to play reggae and hiphop. I love both of these speakers 🔊 but due to the quarantine and where I am it is nearly impossible to hear them in person to compare. Any assistance and help you can bring is greatly appreciated thanks 😊! Have a great day folks and stay safe!

      @jonathanbarnes7641 4 роки тому

      @@arfanirtaza834 what do you mean the speaker is more versatile I don’t know exactly know what you mean? Can you explain a little more thanks 🙏🏾. I’m asking just about sound quality and clarity between the two nothing else strictly from a sound perspective which one sounds better to your ears 👂🏾 in a large room?

    • @arfanirtaza834
      @arfanirtaza834 4 роки тому +2

      @@jonathanbarnes7641 hi there, by versatile I mean that the Mu So kills in any genre of music, you can really hear the clearness that is prosuced by those Naim amplifiers inside. The formation wedge is a bit more neutral but it doesn't have the same roomy large feel to the sound quality, the treble and high s are literally among the best on the Mu So, but if money means nothing to you then I would consider checking out the Bowers and Wilkins formation duo as it is best in class, they are wireless too, but they are bookshelf, if you want something compact then mu so is seriously the best!
      Thanks Jonathan

      @@arfanirtaza834 thanks 😊 much appreciated for the breakdown and clarification helps a lot. Wasn’t sure exactly what you were saying before sorry lol. So you say this sound bar is better than the formation toe to toe in a sound battle for all genres of music. Which one ☝🏾 would you say is better for HipHop and Reggae music which are typically more bass driven in sound quality?

  • @allansh828
    @allansh828 4 роки тому +1

    I highly suspect using AirPlay would severely degrade sound quality. Using Roon would be better.

    • @yru435
      @yru435 4 роки тому +2

      Well, yes Roon would be better BUT It isn't that simple. There is much more to the inequality...
      Roon is not the opposite of Airplay. There are intermediate solutions: you can play hardwired via several streaming providers, including Tidal and Qobuz, directly through the Naim app (which works well), and there is no need for Roon. I have only a phone and a Muso2, and I stream HiRez music from the cloud. Best of all, you don't need any Roon hardware($$) or Roon subscriptions ($$) to stream HiRez files from the great music cloud in the sky.
      If you were saying that Airplay/Apple Music limits the resolution of playback, that is correct.
      To get a better idea of what Airplay lacks, I did compare what was supposedly the same recordings over Airplay and wired Tidal and Qobuz via the Naim app, and I did it for several tracks. There were differences among the three, but I thought it really would not matter for a lot of music that I would listen to. Qobuz HiRes generally being the exception-it was always good. Some Tidal tunes that were nominally at higher resolution than what Airplay can do were less desirable because the sound was dark and lacked upper freq details, while the Airplay was rich in high freq, but lacked in lower freq.
      In summary, Airplay does not suck, but for music that demands better resolution, you can stream from Tidal and Qobuz at high resolution. Roon not necessary.

    • @allansh828
      @allansh828 4 роки тому +1

      R. Y. RAAT, contrast to other wireless audio protocol, prioritize the clock inside the steaming device, thus reduces signal jitter. AirPlay always re-encode to 44.1kHz ALAC codec, which always degrades sound quality, including encoding 44.1kHz FLAC to 44.1kHz ALAC. AirPlay always sounds harsher in the high frequency from my experience. Built-in Tidal and Qobuz steaming uses normal UPnP protocol, which is not as good as using ROON. Tho I doubt it won’t matter because Mu So is not so resolving.

    In every possible way, this is the bottom of naims range. A sceptic might suggest that this was created to fleece the apple (gullible) generation. If you own one of these, do yourself a favour and upgrade to a real (Wiltshire built) naim system at your earliest opportunity.
