    Naim is another British company Audio Advice is a big fan of. They have been quietly making great audio gear for over 40 years out of their factory in Salisbury, England. Naim has not spent a lot of money promoting themselves over the years but has let their products speak for themselves. Interestingly, they have one of the largest audio company user groups we have ever seen that is full of activity.
    When most people see a Mu-so product for the first time, their reaction is: wow, that is so cool! The Mu-so 2 and Mu-so QB2 do not look like conventional home audio products. They look like they belong in a modern art museum! The contrast of grey brushed aluminum, sculpted fabric grills, and acrylic accented with subtle lighting just makes you want to reach out and touch the large, multi-function knob recessed into the top panel. In other words, they are flat out beautiful!
    The level of build quality on all Naim products is about as good as it gets. This is probably one reason Bentley chose Naim for their vehicles. The new Mu-so 2 series is impeccably finished and in many ways better put together than just about any piece of audio gear we have ever seen.
    Naim has really upped the game with the new Mu-so series. These two models are hands down some of the best sounding all in one players we have ever heard. If your goal is to simplify things and get great sound out of a single box where all you need is a power cord, you’ve found your answer in the new Mu-so series. For larger spaces we do recommend the Mu-so 2 over the QB but make no mistake, even the QB blows away the competition.

    Does the Naim Muso Qb2 2nd Generation sound better than the Bowers and Wilkins Formation Wedge? This would be for my bedroom. I usually listen to Reggae and Hiphop which one of these two choices do you think plays these specific genres of music better/best?

    • @yru435
      @yru435 3 роки тому +1

      I have listened to both, not have compared them directly, so I can't talk about that.
      However, I have a Muso2 and it provides all of the low freq energy and PRAT that you would want in a bedroom. It plays big. Also, and this was a surprise for me, it provides great resolution and natural tonality throughout the upper and mid frequencies.
      I have been very pleased with this unit.

      Muzo and Cube can be played via Airplay and Naim protocol. The sound will not be stereo. The big muzo plays in stereo, and the cube has 5 speakers directed in different directions. It's better than stereo.

      Analogue wise via line-In, put a pre amp between that brings the low phono level up to line level required by this active speaker.

    I want to put this up against the B&O Level & B&W Wedge which is a hot mess because you can’t connect anything directly to it. The HDMI is a joke, constant lip sync issues. Bass is highly directional-side ported. And the stupid thing turns on at night all on its own. I wanted this for the USB drive input. I suspect the B&O Level is better. Wall compensation is meh. I was going to settle for this but decided against it. Trying to cancel my order. Vifa is another option.

      How do you know it will have the issues you describe if you have not tried it yet? The internet is full of people complaining about things that are typically user created issues. If you are purchasing it from Audio Advice we will be happy to work through any problems you might encounter. Our return rate on the Muso is almost non existent, very satisfied buyers

    Totally untrue. So conveniently leaving out the elephant in the room. I have heard both of them and while their treble and midrange sound brilliant, the lower registers are completely chopped off. In other words, NO BASS AT ALL.

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  Місяць тому

      Maybe compared to a 12" subwoofer but for their size and for what they are they have incredible bass. You many have heard them where they were not set up with the right setting for room boundaries.
