Good on her for sticking to her guns cos she's obviously made something of it, especially when it's on the shelves in my local supermarket here in a little rural town at the southern most country in the world, just north of Antarctica, little old New Zealand.
Strangely and randomly, I am drinking this Kefir while watching the video. I usually buy Kefir from the Polish brands in the 'foreign market' shelves in Tesco, but this time I wanted to try it from the main shelf. I bought it before watching this. The interesting thing about this show is that not getting an investment from any of those five dragons ins't the end. I'm sure because of the nature of the show that there'll be lots of other "Dragons" out there who will also be watching and looking for a potential return. So Russian of her. Love her confidence and I think even Peter was quite awed by her take it or leave it response. I also love her Kefir and have recommended it to many others who've found it useful.
I think it depends when you reinvest it. If you waited untill FY end and then reinvested it you would have NP for the previous FY. Although I stand to be corrected.
She didn't leave the Den with nothing, she left with 45 per cent more equity than if she had accepted Deborah's offer; What a very wise and beautiful woman.
The dragons are turning her down because he business is "not there yet". So basically, they want her to do all the work, make massive money, and only then do they want to be a part of it.
Yeah like when Sarah said "come back when you are making 200K profit"... like if you are doing that well then what would you even need a dragon by that point? You are probably doing well enough that you can open further doors yourself. But they want a ready business doing a shitload of profit just so they can swoop in throw 20K and get a 40% slice of it... ludicrous...
I think that the Dragons misunderstood Natasha about the business' profits. I don't think that she was saying that the business hadn't made a profit. Rather, she re-invested the profits into the business instead of taking them for herself. She was saying that she personally had not made money from the business, she did not mean that the business itself was unprofitable. It's a very big difference and really not that complicated. Very surprised that the Dragons didn't pick up on this.
You think 5 Dragons "missed it". Okkk. The fact is that they had nothing tangible to value her business on and turnover is useless if the profit is unknown
@@thediplomat3137 Yes. The inventor was clearly referring to retained net profits, not merely turnover. The Dragons were incorrect when they stated that the business had made zero net profit.
I don't think they missed it, I think Peter purposely ignored what she was saying to make it sound like the business was making no money, so when the inevitable 45% offer comes along, she would take it - she didn't fall for it.
