Check your Injectors mate. Deal With 1kd-ftv not a good fun 😞. Replace Injectors, seats and injector pipe and make sure clean the Manifold and oil pick up. If you can put the 7mm hole for the EGR cooler.
Hi Danushka. Too late unfortunately, as indicated below :-(. Engine was indeed destroyed in september 2021 due to defective injector seats that caused oil pick up clogging with carbon residues and fatal engine overheat. The KDJ now has a replacement engine and brand new injector, seats and pipes. Manifold was cleaned, 7mm plate installed and it's running like a champ!
Hi ! Jeez I wish I had read your comment sooner :-(. The LC is at a standstill for 2 weeks now. One injector failed for sure but I am now trying to determine if it has done other damages. You seem to be very experienced with Land Cruisers (I'm not unfortunately). If you d'be willing to share a bit of your experience diagnosing the problem, I'd be happy to learn.
