You dont really need to get rid of the accent to speak, do you? Just take Slavoj Jijek - it is more pleasant and interesting to listen to him than to most native speakers despite the strength of his accent. And lets be honest, in sports your English doesnt even have to be good, millions listen to Khabib talk
