If WAL comes back then let them setup a match for Denis OR ask him to atleast pass the hammer to worthy person. I am fan of Devon but I would like him to move on. There is so much happening lets focus on them. Make peace within and forget the WAL hammer.
Don't be surprised the day Devon no longer needs Engin and starts badmouthing him. Devon has no friends but interests at stake, just look at how he makes fun of his "friends" when he has to compete against them, as he did recently with Leonidas.
That's selling the match which should be obvious. It was a proper mismatch so to sell you gotta drum up intyerest. To everyone with a brain it was not an interesting match.
Where's the honnor in holding a Left arm champion hammer, when you're not, and not even defending it, and aren't the rightful owner of it. Pretty lame, especially from a past champion.
The thing is, we can start an organization just like east vs west if we want to. We love Engin and love these promotions but we are playing along with it. If North America pulls out and decides to do our own promotions, East vs West is nothing. North America is clearly paying the most and making EvW as big as it’s been. Engin needs to be careful. It really won’t be difficult for us to completely take over but that’s not the point. We love having foreign competitors, but if it’s not going to be a mutual endeavor than NA can definitely make EvW a thing of the past just like WAL.
@Andrew_EvsW unless it's some kind of contract signed by all the athletes then none of this BS by Devon (and Devon only) holds up in the REAL world. Which I am afraid is not where Devon or any of his cult followers live

Just make 2 new legacy hammers, that the purpose since the beginning is representing all the super heavy champs that have existed along the ages, with a lot of free space so names can be written as time goes by, and make the "name printing" a standard pattern doesnt matter who gets to write a name there it will be the same font and size as the other ones. As far as I understand, the Legacy hammer was meant to move it forward. It was never meant to keep it forever. You have to give it to the next best left hand, even if you cannot compete anymore for any reasons including aging. If Denis is sick and unable to compete, he should hand it to the next best pro. It was Devon's idea, wasn't it? The hammer should change hand and never to be kept by one man forever! That's the idea
Devon acts like he’s some kind of big authority, he needs to put his ego aside, because while he pulls in EvW, Engin owns him just like WAL did before him.
Well, i think that the things devon is saying right now are a lot more disrespectful than that, even though i agree that denis should pass the hammer but there's no need to say the things that devon is saying.
Devon didn't do them, they were given by WAL. And btw, Devon's hammers weren't even from the absolute class, those are with Travis Bagent and Micheal Todd
I think Devon is still promoting the oleg match. It might not be as much as other matches. The guy has done more promo for AW then any organization or person out there imo. But to be fair its the promotors job to promo the match not the pullers. Devons name alone is a major selling point. AW needs to learn to sell matches without him cause he wont be here forever.
I do think his comment about the hammer is silly though. Devon is right, it's not about one person or one league. It's a legacy hammer between the pullers/ the competitors.
Everyone knows that Devon is the most famous arm wrestler, But I never will understand why that he seems to get off on stirring up conflict & division!🤔
Devon comes from an "Honor Culture" like the American South, "Honor Culture" is a high trust culture all of Devon's actions make sense within this culture. It never occurred to him that someone would accept the hammer and not operate within the constraints of the culture that created the hammer. To not pass on the hammer is to disrespect Devon and does indicate a lack of honor.
@@hacker-dude You're wrong, but not by much. The dominant political philosophy in America sprang from the Puritans/Roundheads in the North, they warred against the "Southerners" way back in England. The English Civil Wars continued on in America. The Northern fanatics lost their religion (Puritanism), but not the desire of Puritanism, to remake the world in its image. "Americas" mad foreign policy is an example of that policy. As Henry Kissinger said, "It's dangerous to be the enemy of the United States, it's even more dangerous to be a friend." The lapsed Puritans are a bunch of snakes, and liars.
I rarely agree with you on all points (which I enjoy different perspectives are important). But you kinda nailed it in my opinion on all points. Hopefully they can alter the hammer or make a new one, trade one to Denis in exchange. Whatever. But after the petrenko match.
Why would anyone be against the legacy hammer? It’s a cultural symbol that will show the history and legacy of the top champion. Think about in 50 years what that hammer could represent, and the history that it could show. Part of being a champion is knowing when you’re no longer the top guy and celebrating the rise of new champions to progress the sport.
Devon started this idea of the legacy hammer and in some ways I think it can be cool but Engin will never allow anything to compete against his brand. I can see both sides but I think the sport has grown to a point where there may not be much room for the legacy hammer in the future.
Devon wants the hammer to be a thing but just bc he is jazzed about the concept doesn’t mean everyone else signed up too. Imagine winning the hammer when you don’t really find it significant and have to worry about storing it and shipping it to the next champ all bc one guy wants it to be a tradition.

That's a good observation, he started this whenever he was not allowed to fight Morozov. Maybe he is just angry because of this and now he is just using the hammer as an excuse to start a war.
I think that it's more because the legacy hammer that denis has, has Devon's name on it, and he wants to be part of it too because he handed it to Denis, wich is still really bad and very childish
@@joseywales898The hammer Devon passe to Levan was his 115 WAL title hammer, the right arm superheavyweight hammer belongs to Michael Todd and the left arm one (superheavyweight) to Travis Bagent
The legacy hammer is meant to be a symbolic symbol, not a contact ridden trophy. Armwrestling needs less focus on contracts or leagues and I think Engin and Denis need to let go of this idea of control and support the cultural symbol that the legacy hammer could represent
Asking Denis to give the hammer to the top left arm guy isn’t disrespecting him. That’s the point of the legacy hammer, you carve your name onto it and pass it on once you lose or can’t compete. That’s something every athlete has done, no matter how much they would want to keep it. Not letting go of that hammer is disrespect to the sport.
It would make sense to take off the wal and having a healthy Denis defend it but against morozov that is the actual super heavyweight champion. Or pass it down to morozov to defend it. But honestly i think Devon should just give up and say (« the hammers are with to the rightful owners for that time and it’s time for something else with east vs west and king of the table ».)Because levan either won’t bring it to next event even if he loses engin won’t allow it anyways.
This issue will end if future competitors stop accepting the hammer, thats it. Competitors should not accept this hammer since you'll be attacked by Devon if you decide not to pass it on.
the hammer is a great idea(a symbol for the very best)..it should have nothing to do with a league(take the logo away if the dictator is offended again..)..how is Denis not ashamed to have it after six years...
I get what they were trying to do with the hammer. The huge problem with it is it still has WAL on it. Rip that off and put EvW on it and then you can have something different than just another "title belt". Theyre handing out belts for everything. Hell; i could go to a wwe show and buy a better looking belt than EvW's. Forge your own hammer.
yall hating to devon for no reason. the idea of legacy hammer is to keep legacy and pass it down to another champion. Denis is just ignoring devons dms and disrespecting legacy hammer.
If the WAL hammers were so important about legacy why isn't devon hounding travis and micheal to give the ACTUAL hammers of the absolute category that were given to the actual champions clearly devon just wants to hate on denis for views
The concept of the legacy hammer was fine when there were no organizations and armwrestling hadn’t matured to the point it is now. At this point though, nobody cares about it anymore but Devon. We have official organizations with official belts and champions now. The hammers don’t matter anymore. They honestly never mattered to anyone but Devon anyways. Denis won that hammer at a time when nobody ever knew that was the concept anyways. Devon didn’t start talking about that until the Michael Todd situation anyways when they started giving it back and forth to each other. That hammer belongs to Denis and that’s where it should remain forever. Now we have official titles and official championship anyways with belts from an accredited organization. Everything else is meaningless.
@@Senseiop12 the sport is here now because of people like Larry wheels and juji who gave Devon a platform. Larry built king of the table to showcase Devon. Engin built east vs west to gather everyone around the world to compete against each other. Devon may be the most popular armwrestler, but in the end the sport would be nowhere right now without Larry wheels and engine building brands to showcase these talents. Devon has built nothing but his own following here. He’s never organized anything, and in fact has been the one to cause alot of divide and controversy in the community over the years. Nobody ever says they are coming for the hammers.
If Denis is stupid enough to echo your sentiment then he will lose respect. The simple fact of the matter is that Devon is right, but his rude demeanor makes it where no one wants to take his side. In a matter of honor where no one is being honorable, no one cares. But the reality is Denis accepted the hammer knowing what people were doing with it. It is an homage to arm wrestling's foundations. Denis knows that, and is choosing to piss on all those who went before. He gets away with it because Devon is being such a little pissant about how he presents the issue, and because thus far Denis has taken the high road in not responding.
@@rignanroach1775 actually you’re wrong. When Denis won the hammer it wasn’t even talked about as a legacy hammer back then. The WAL still existed at that point. Such silliness over a hammer....which was a gift to Denis years ago...grow up and move on. WTF.
In all fairness, it was a gift but with certain expectations that Denis recognized. It's not like there was a hidden agenda. Denis knew what was expected. He should simply honored it. Plain and simple. Devon's right about that. But I agree that it's getting out of hand and is a bit ridiculous. If he isn't going to give it back, he isn't going to give it back. Unless Devon is willing to try to take it from him physically, no point in keeping all this up. Denis is simply not going to comply with his wishes. It's going absolutely nowhere but maybe Devon likes the fact that it's stirring sh!t up since that is usually to his liking. Getting attention for the sport. Good, bad or indifferent.

Actually Devon shouldn't have given the right hand hammer to Levan.

Devon was going against Engin for a while before his Prudnyk match
The thing is, we can start an organization just like east vs west if we want to. We love Engin and love these promotions but we are playing along with it. If North America pulls out and decides to do our own promotions, East vs West is nothing. North America is clearly paying the most and making EvW as big as it’s been. Engin needs to be careful. It really won’t be difficult for us to completely take over but that’s not the point. We love having foreign competitors, but if it’s not going to be a mutual endeavor than NA can definitely make EvW a thing of the past just like WAL.

As far as I understand, the Legacy hammer was meant to move it forward. It was never meant to keep it forever. Denis is a hammer hiding rat with no honor
The arm wrestling community, Engin, Dennis … all have no honor.
Americans have no honour actually

Love Devon. I’m a huge fan but let’s be honest here… who really gives a sh!t about the Legacy Hammer?
Devon wants the hammer to be a thing but just bc he is jazzed about the concept doesn’t mean everyone else signed up too. I can’t see the problem at ALL with letting the hammer change hands to the rightful owner!? Does anyone ACTUALLY have anything against that!? Weird..
Artyom said he dindt need the hammer as WAL itself is over, should be the end of it
what if we added the logo's for all the major leagues to the hammer instead of remove WAL'S logo
Devon can talk about what he wants idk why you say he shouldn't talk about that or that etc not everything is about upcoming EVW

Devon give his hammer to levan in his 1st match against him
Devon got destroyed by Kamil, but still wants a match for the "legacy" against Denis...what a useless hammer

He cares that’s y the sport is here now . He respects every org nd everything related to arm wrestling
Say what you want, but his opinion on the legacy hammer is irrelevant at this point. Nobody cares about them but him. Every interview is about pullers saying they want to be East vs west champion.
