The new one not only uses colors more accurately, but the shots are more varied. Not to mention the fluid movement. Your improvement and creativity are truly amazing, Gigi! 💙

What I've noticed is that you have a very good grasp of shot composition. That and the poses makes your animatics feel very 'alive' and it's incredibly easy to just polish a little in your mind and get a production-quality result
In the 2024 version, I feel like you can really tell that you’ve really become so familiar with drawing their designs!! The art is very clean and the expressions and movements flow beautifully with the characters. The old one DEFINITELY had me on chokehold the first time I saw it though, I rewatched it everyday like it was something I needed to live lmfao (it was)

Honestly my favourite part is all the additional long shots! The lack of cuts speaks to far more confidence in your animation skills, and the lingering on specific scenes, especially with the camera panning around Odysseus to show how he's beginning to spiral under Circe's spell, with her sillhouette creates such a gorgeous dynamic! The new one really shows an incredible amount of growth and confidence in your works, it's amazing!!!!

I love how the new version starts out with a wide shot and then gets closer and more intimate just like the shift in the song. I also think you did a great job making them both a lot more expressive and using the environment in the song. You also added a lot more moments with Circe invading Odysseus' personal space as she tries to seduce him.

The new one is Superb. The animation, the action, the background! AUGH! So good. This is better than how i envisioned this scene playing out. Like i thought i knew what i expected, but you always blow me away. But my heart will always have a special place for the OG. Like Oddy's face at :37 and Circe's from :38 to :40.

It's fascinating that one of the big changes is how much more you've started to use sets in your blocking (the light is motivated now- we're in a very specific room, and the whole business with the loveseat that's such a big location in the new one)
There’s way more of a sense of plot and progression in the new one, sure they’re singing but actions are taking place and the power dynamic is shifting and it’s infinitely more engaging.
honestly adding the dagger in the new one adds so much more to the whole thing. I like the implication that she was trying to puppet him into giving her an opening and it was his loyalty to his wife that not only helped him dodge the attempt but also made her reconsider altogether.
Idk if you were on the livestream tonight, but oh my gods, that was amazing. I'm still processing everything. Idk if the human brain can handle how amazing your animatics will be, considering your animatics are all amazing, and Thunder Saga is amazing. It'll be like looking at a god in his true form.
I love some stuff in the old one better, but if I had to choose the new one definitely takes the cake! One thing I wished you kept was the scene 17 sec in. Just put that (transition?) In somewhere! Anywhere! It looked so good 😭 I also liked the first 4 sec better. With the camera ancle at their faces and then at their feet. Loved the buttom of the clothes! Is that wierd to say? It definitely is... Anyway... LOVE YOUR WORK!!!
The one that I kind of wished the new one had was that scene where cerci plucked a flower & blew it into Odesseus’ face. Other than that, I loved the new one.
It's interesting that in the old one it feels like Odysseus is still in power and is trying to make a logical decision but in the new one it feels like Circe's dragging Odysseus around and he's trying to resist. Also, I think I spent at least twenty minutes just replaying the part where Circe circles around Odysseus 😭. It is perfection.
I love how the new one is much more in line with Circe and Odysseus’s personality’s. Odysseus looks wayyy more conflicted and disturbed at his situation than aroused. And lady Circe is depicted as much more malicious and conniving than before, definitely showcasing how she smoothly flipped the situation to her advantage.
Why are your animations so CRACKED That they are better then most animated shows of this time?? Epic The Muzical should have it’s own animated show / movie and you should be the lead animator❤ FAN FACT: When I first discoverd Epic I tought it was from an animated show and the first think it gave me was your animations and I thought they were from it and they were amazing (AND STILL ARE EVEN MORE GORGEOS TO THIS DAY AND I CAN’T BELIVE YOU’VE INPROVED SO MUCH OVER THE YEARS) I love ur work sm❤
The newest one has a really good Color contrast between people and Color and Circe looks so much more sinister and cunning ❤ as well as the more fluid animations
