Can I swap from the new headlights to a different type of headlights? I hate the new ones but I also don’t like the old ones, I would install the MT09 ones or something different
After watching this over and over I finally understand most of it. 😂 However, I don't know how to connect an additional relay. Which wires do I connect it to. I mean which wires, is it just a 4 pin relay? I don't know much about relays.
Although I have the 2021 model, this project was interesting to watch. I love how you put together the wires as well as the headlight. Looks professional and factory. Very well done! 👏
@@GARAGESHIN thanks, if u`ve tested mt09, can you advice which is better for city riding? options I have : 09 is 2019 with quickshifter and 07 is 2022 with akrapovic exhaust and upgraded rear shock. roughly same price (09 is like 300-400 USD more)
It should rely on everyone's riding experience and perspective, but for me personally, MT-09 is too much for a city use. Maybe try GSX-8S😏 More tourqey than MT-07 with quick shifters and all the other electronics as standard
Did you use the gen 3 harness for the new light at last? Or just to see How it was, and use the gen 1? Also, what kind of relay did you use near the ending?
I checked how gen 3 headlight was connected to the harness, then installed gen 3 control unit to the gen 1 harness. The relay was for switching high and low beam. Any relay would work ☺️
BBBB San, thank you for your comment 😊 It took me around 300$ to prepare 2nd hand parts. It should have been much more expensive if I got the spare parts brand new from Yamaha 💦

Hi, thank you for your comment ☺️ I put the light control unit under the tank on the left side. The wiring detail, it's in this clip. You don't have to use the whole gen 3 wire harness.

It wouldn't be impossible, but need to prepare a bracket that fits the headlight and the bike.

Add a normal 4 pin relay, as in 2:59. Without this additional relay, you can't switch between high and low beam.

You friggin ruined your FZ-07! Omg that ‘21 headlight is just goofy as hell. Looks horrible imo. Should’ve put the ‘18-‘21 one on from the MT-09.
Its posible to used for 2016 mt09
I guess the wiring wouldn't be that much different, but, probably need to consider a way to place the headlamp to the bike properly 😊
