    Brilliant Jim. Guided beautifully. Lots of tears. Very happy now.

    But you have to construct a pretty powerful filter to process fear and sorrow and transform them into positive emotions. A very important practice, Jim, since those are the main emotions driving chronic pain in the limbic system.

      It’s not about turning fear and sorrow into positive emotions. This is still resistance on some level. It’s trying to “fix” the emotions. This process is about embracing the fear and sorrow as they arise.

    Thank you! As soon as I started letting the emotions to surface, I began to yawn non stop. Maybe I removed the pressure and was able to get into the parasympathetic?

    IBS isn't technically neuroplastic pain, but do you think these techniques can still be useful?

    Can I heal fatigue just by doing this?

    Would this practice be helpful for people who have health anxiety/somatic disorder/hypochondria??

    I have a hard time feeling these feelings. The sensations are so very, very severe. I’m dealing with a relationship issue while trying to recover from TMS. Relaxation is very difficult when the sensation is so severe. I’m probably missing something here.

      Hey Larry try to get in touch with emotions of how you feel and then try to let these things go you have to come to a place of peace around all this for your nervous system and brain to settle down I know it’s hard at the moment

      @@thepainpt Hey Jim thanks for the encouraging thoughts and your calm soothing voice on these videos. I will continue try to put this into practice
      Yeah it’s really tough right now but sometimes I consider myself fortunate to know really what’s going on. There’s millions out there that don’t have a clue why they’re in chronic pain and it’s sad that they’ll have to continue to suffer. This syndrome needs to get a lot more exposure

      @@thepainpt thanks Jim. It just seems that I get railroaded off the path to recovery sometimes. I will have a good day after resuming activity/socializing and go to bed pain free! Then the next morning I’m hit hard with symptoms again. It’s discouraging. Your videos and other TMS channels hold out so much hope and with so many success stories, I know I need to just stay the course and I’ll eventually get relief from this condition!

    Hello Jim. Do you have a video on dealing with (more!) pain after doing a workout? In my case cycling? When the pain gets worse after exercise, I find it hard to believe that it is TMS and that there is no physical damage. My body says something else.

    • @thepainpt
      @thepainpt  3 роки тому +5

      It could easily be a nervous system reaction. Yes rule out the physical. People with TMS can get a hypersensitive reaction to things kind of like a exaggerated version of delayed onset muscle soreness
