Wow, great looking bike. I just got one used after the company went BK at a great price. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT REAR FENDER? It's exactly what I have been think the Onyx RCR has needed for years. That exact style, since it actually protects you. Great vid; nice bike.
Hey bro, looks great. Thank you for continuing to post RCR videos. I'm running out of Onyx content to binge-watch. Anyway, I'm always looking forward to seeing your mods! Keep up the good work!
Old video but tip: You can get self lube bushing on amazon. Look for uxcell Bearing Sleeve with 8mm Bore x 12mm OD x 10mm. 12mm is the default ID of the shock bushings. the width is 21 mm, so put two of these side by side into the shock's eyelet. It's self lubricating so the metal on metal should be fine and should last way longer than the plastic bushings.
Is that a real plate? I want to get an Onyx but so far all I found out is that NYS wants them registered, but the DMV won’t register them because they still are bicycles, so I’m a bit confused.
if you own/plan/or about to own an onyx look for the ONYX RCR MODS group on facebook to get tons of info on parts that are compatible for yours or for your future bike. there are a lot people showing up with awesome looking custom onyx bikes that might make you mod your own. .... oh and jerry .... mine looks better hahaha just joking ... no really it does hahaha. but thanks for the video jerry im glad i watched cause i didnt know about the spacers and am FINALLY getting to my shocks lol
Nice vid Jerry! I have those shocks sitting in a box until I can get the adapters (sold out on treatland) and my onyx #2807. What were the settings and how much nitrogen did you put in it? We should be about the same settings, I'm 5'8" 200lbs
Jerry Fung NYC thank you for the quick response I would naturally ride my bicycle/Moto in the rain. It’s more like can it take the abuse. Lastly your custom saddle and cowl is pretty sick. I like your stizz well done
Love this bike. thinking of getting an Onyx. My main concern is the legal grey areas in NY for them. They are too quick to be e-bikes/e-mopeds but they're not motorcycles either. Did you have to register it or have a motorcycle license?
I don't know? Just thought I would ask. Maybe you have been in contact with people here who have one. I am interested in the bike and am trying to find out if it is legal here. Was just a simple question. No big deal
Thanks for the nice video. Seems like a lot of money for an e-bike which can only be ridden legally in bike lanes at 20 mph. I live in California and that's how this is classed out here. I think it looks ridiculous when pedaled down the street, kind of like one of those tine clown bikes. But each of us has their own likes. For what you have invested, why not just get a used Zero or even a Sur Ron? Have fun.
Im gonna be adding the same exact thing this winter. Im just gonna do a little here a little there. So far i got gold valve caps and mirrors done with the cover done in vynyl. Ill post some pics whenever i wrap the side panels.
Thank u !!!
Where or how did u install the seat to the frame? Looks unique

Let me know... We could help each other
i live in long island do the police bother you when you ride?? i'm planning on ordering one also in aug..
What is the thing below your seat? Looks like a round tube type speaker on the frame
Yeah 2 speakers hold with bottle mount
Thanks, if you’re going 35-40mph about how many miles can you get out of a charge?
Cool mods on your bike. You definitely have unique style
Hey where can I. Get that seat
What's the spacers made out of?
Cheap ass plastic...
Also what size was the eye diameter? For the top and the bottom hole?
Would be awesome if at some point you can explain how to install the turning signals! Great Video btw.
Well onyx will release a plug and play kit soon...
Jerry one quick note the link for the rear shocks does not work? Greta video will be getting my ONYX RCR most likely after July!
Is that a real plate? I want to get an Onyx but so far all I found out is that NYS wants them registered, but the DMV won’t register them because they still are bicycles, so I’m a bit confused.
No... I got it from a souvenir store

Nice 👍🏽 video . Bike looks good
I work in NYC, where can i see this bike?
Hey did you change the color of the center plate? It doesn’t look silver or black it looks like charcoal?
Talking of my side panels? Yes I wrapped them
Im a shorter rider, can i adjust the height with these?
Yes actually its shorter than the stock... But still adjustable... Worth the money
Hey where did you get your seat? I’m 5 feet looking to order the onyx but trying to find a way to lower it, love your seat.
any front fork shock replacement options?
Yes but I won't switch.. So far it does the job properly
Piggyback = reservoir on the back of the shock.
Where can i find that seat?
I made it
What psi do you use?

Dope mods.. have you been riding in the drizzle I heard it is only water resistant I normally would ride in the rain do you have any thoughts on that?
I rode like twice in light rain and it was fine afterward. But I would not recommend it
Jerry Fung NYC thank you for the quick response I would naturally ride my bicycle/Moto in the rain. It’s more like can it take the abuse. Lastly your custom saddle and cowl is pretty sick. I like your stizz well done
if i remove the rear shocks, are they hard to put back?
No if you do one at the time...
@@JerryFungNYC the shocks won't like shoot out because of the air pressure, correct?
@@datonerunner1885 Nah... It's plug and play

just buy and ride it like you stole it....nothing else beside a good helmet

Are these bikes street legal in Ontario, Canada?
How do I know that? I'm from NYC
I don't know? Just thought I would ask. Maybe you have been in contact with people here who have one. I am interested in the bike and am trying to find out if it is legal here. Was just a simple question. No big deal
@@carlblackwood3 you should go to local police station and ask them but idk if onyx will ship them to Canada
They do ship to Canada and thanks for the suggestion I will check with the local police

Used zero isn't $5k.
And sure ron isn't faster, it's just better off road, which isn't an issue in NYC.
no one peddles the ONYX.
Going a little crazy man, too much clutter on the bike. It doesn't look streamlined anymore. If your happy then cool just my opinion.
im changing the look of the bike soon...lets see what you think on my next video...thx for commenting....
Do you need a driver license to ride that bike?
Gerardo Gama
No, but some states require to register the bike as a moped.

I know the the original shocks are not really shocks cause u can feel the pound but is there a big difference in terms of comfort?
Lol, you made that ebike ugly AF xD

Why should I have to buy replacement shocks ? If it was
quality bike from the git-go, it should come with good shocks.
No thanks, I'll pass on Onyx.
