You should check out Gene Hoglan's Twitch stream. He's on at least 4 night's a week, and if he's not playing requests, he'll chat about any question about technique, hardware, or stories from the past
Being a dad is tough my guy. I can hear it in your voice. Get a few more years. And you’ll get more time to go out and “live”. You are one of my favorites on UA-cam and my favorite drumming channel
I'm always shocked at how different covid regulations have been in deferent parts of the world. In the Maritimes of Canada where I live life has been back to "normal" for more than a year now. Aside from wearing a mask in enclosed spaces. That's it. It blows me away when I hear about people getting back out in public now.
I would love to see your reaction to the video of Dennis Chambers writing a drum part for a Tool song. It's the the coolest music related thing I've stumbled across in a looooooooong time. Even if you don't do a video on it, I highly suggest you check it out. It's absolutely fantastic.
This is awesome. Never really been able to get into Tool, but Carey is a great player and I wish I could do half the stuff he can. ETA: I have listened to Tool. Lots of Tool. *All* the Tool. It just isn't for me.
i agree with you hes really good but tool to me just seems a bit overhyped. dont get me wrong theyre amazing musicians, but yeah it aint my cup of tea either
You 're really missing out by not yet reacting to Watchtower's Rick Colaluca! (The band of Ron Jarzombek, brother of Bobby you've reacted to with the cymbals behind the back) Here please: ua-cam.com/video/jV1cyUjkAB8/v-deo.html You're welcome!
No, Danny Carey saw Garrett Miller in his audience at a show of his!
It's amazing that a high profile drummer like here Danny Carey can go from playing big arenas with tool to playing at a jazz club. Very humble guy!
@chris murphy you think he doesn't have fun playing with tool?
He played with the Kansas marching band over the weekend at a basketball game.
2:40 a jazz cover of Tool's cover of No Quarter by Zeppelin? Awesome haha
Ooooor, just a jazz cover of No Quarter by Zeppelin?.....

Holy crap. You saw a unicorn and got footage of it. Special moment for you and thank you for sharing this!
I miss playing live music... Looks like a great time!

Jimmy Earl on bass!
As Zappa would say… “so you went to the Grape, just to give a try…”
You truly are the chosen one!
Awesome
2:18 Alex Grey?
Cool! Can't wait until the new year to go to gigs. I have some tickets that's burning a hole in my pocket :D
how cool is that dude!
The doug web group is awesome, saw them at the baked potato.

I wanna hear the whole song of their jazz rendition of No Quarter. It sounded like it was kinda sick
I think Danny plays at the Baked Potatoe fairly regularly.
Edit: or did pre-covid.
Seeing the guy at the bar playing air guitar, then I knew the room was full of Tool junkies waiting to sniff DC's sweat socks.
React to Matt Garstka’s play through of Monomyth!
No way...where is your hat :o
not a SINGLE thumb down, fuck yeah!!!

Maybe something like Soen or Karnivool would be more down your alley ;)
Try opiate

@@amjan Soen is basically Tool for those who hate Tool members personally, it's almost a complete ripoff.
@@alexeypolevoybass it's not. lol.
Did you get the impression there were a lot of Tool fans there to see Danny?
Yea, it seemed like most of them were

is it raining or you didn't want to make a bathroom break? :D
Is that Corey Taylor at 3:13 clapping?
A little less Garret and little more Danny...
If Danny gets his own youtube channel one day he too can have aot of camera time

Seems a bit like you can’t be bothered with this channel anymore bro.

Yikes kind of a step down.
