The close shot of the leopard was superb and must've been an emotional experience to see such a beautiful, beautiful animal so close. But for me, the distant shots of it walking across the rock face were even better - they really showed the scale of the environment, the agility of the leopard and told a better story. Just stunning.
Took me by surprise but, out of nowhere, 23:54 I suddenly felt very emotional when the snow leopard passed close by and we shared your once in a lifetime moment. Epic.
It great you saw one, and indeed an amazing experience. I have conflicting feelings about the whole idea though, the amount of people - drivers, spotters and photographers - and amount of time pursuing this solitary creature, almost stalking it.
I am a great believer in the harder you work for something the luckier you become, and to capture the snow leopard as you did just goes to prove it. Absolutely fantastic photo 👌
The video editing, storytelling and the timelapse....it is like a new level! It felt as if I were there myself. Its incredible how smooth the snow leopard is walking through the mountains! Thanks for the effort making these videos.
I’m thrilled you actually got a few shots, but you really didn’t seem to have any idea as to how elusive these cats are? Did you look at the BBC Snow leopard films and think I could do that? Did you watch the Vincent Munier Oscar winning film and think how hard can it be? Well now you have the concept and let’s see if you have some newly found deep respect for hard core wild cameramen!
Wow, Thomas, your narration made it feel like I was right there with you. Stunning and breathtaking photos. Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride 🙏❤️
Exactly...heck, I just use my camera phone. I have 2 cameras that someone gave me but it takes time to figure out how to use those and honestly I have trouble seeing clearly through them because my left eye is not as sharp as my right one (I've had 2 surgeries on each eye). Usually I'm taking photos in a rush!
You don’t need a tripod if you use a high enough shutter speed. And if you’re taking video with a telephoto lens, the camera models have image stabilization in the camera body. Plus you have an image stabilization in the legs.
@@lauraslanesvanlifetravels Don't give up on the "real" cameras please!! I have eye problems too...but with modern cameras, digital...even manual lenses can be used with the focus assist. Please, sit back when you have free time, find and read the manuals...try things out..with a little practice you can get it. I saw this because with a real camera with interchangeable lenses, you CAN do things you just can NOT do with a cell phone camera...laws of physics, lenses etc. Good Luck!! :)
WOW, what an experiance this whole trip is. This is one of those things I will never experiance on my own so watching your vidoes is awesome for me. Thank you!
Two of my absolute favorite episodes. Love the landscapes, adventure, and your energy and excitement in it. The specialness of the trip and the moments shines through. Thanks for sharing!
What a rare and incredible experience Thomas! Love all these images and my favorite is the camels in the distance with the colored hills behind them. You're so lucky to be able to experience these trips. Thanks for sharing with us.
I always think, you don't need to go far and just love your Lake District video's to watch. But I must admit............this stuff is incredible! Great, great work!!!
ISO 7,000. It must've quite dark by the time you finally saw it. Seems like it would be difficult to get near an animal like that with all those vehicles and people.
Followed you for years This is one of your best yet. Yeah, the scenery & snow leopard images were great. But what really made this vid, was your story telling - hints, twists and turns all the way, with an epic, hoped for, but unexpected finale. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a way to get through Hump day, started with epic camel photography, got a goat and ended with the most epic snow leopard shot to date. That staredown into the camera was amazing. Also side note, loved the story line and the way you give suspense of finding the snow leopard.
Wow, I almost cried when I saw those beautiful creatures captured by your camera. You are an amazing photographer. Bow to your professional works. Regards from Mongolia with love.
Been looking in for a few years now, and this is the best to date. The ibex shot on the mountain edge is spectacular. And your new comfort of vlogging while people are around has improved the videos. This one was great.
Truly Amazing I doubt many people will ever get to experience a snow leopard in the flesh. I know you are a landscape photographer by trade but I am loving this wildlife adventure as it’s my great past time hobby.
I was in tears at the end of this (as were others in this blog). Wonderful narrative to-camera storytelling, editing, and music. Than for taking us along on this quest.
Mongolia is such a beautiful untouched country . Just absolute raw beauty . Thank you so much for sharing with us . Think we have all seen the documentary with exotic Cats . These Beautiful beasts are so elusive. Even if you just saw a fleeting glance of one of these beautiful animals. Me for one I would be right chuffed . Regards Mart .
Absolutely stunning video 😍😍. My favourite image was the very first image of camel against that golden colour sky. Wow just wow 🤩 was a bit worried when you were climbing up the hill in the end. Looked dangerous
OMG I got goose bumps when you got the closer experience with the snow leopard. The movie clip of him walking across the side of the mountin was stunning as it showed the scale of the cats teerrain. Just incredible. I was so pleased for you and that perfect last image as he looked back at you. Just stunning. What an amazing trip so far.
What a superb environment for photography. Stunning light and scenery - Mars like even! The shot of the graceful snow leopard meandering across the rocks was awesome.
Everything comes to he who waits. Snow leopard picture was fantastic along with the other images. The layers and colour palette of the landscape is amazing as you say as if it was painted, great video Tom 👍🏻
fantastic shots of the snow leopard... gives me chills... rare creatures in the wild is what I wish to see more of in life... wolves... leopards, polar bears...
This really reminded me of the secret life of Walter Mitty where Sean Penn was looking for the snow leopard. One of my favourite scenes and this video captured exactly that as well. Thanks Thomas for sharing this moment with us.
Been subscribed since 2018, never commented before. Thomas, your channel is like an online friend I can always come back to and enjoy photographic adventures with. Thanks for the awesome content and keeping me company.
Wow, that looked hard work Thomas, especially with that big camera and your pack on your back, I am so glad you were rewarded in such a spectacular way. It was such a special and emotional moment for us watching safe from our screens, so I can only imagine what it must have been like for you! Thanks for all the effort you have put into making this mini-series Thomas!
Absolutely brilliant Thomas. The scenery was amazing. I was so pleased for you to get the image's of the snow leopard. Brilliant image's mate. Look forward to seeing the next one.
Excellent video of your adventures in a far off land. Stunning landscape images but the shots of the snow leopard are stunning...as you described how the locals called it a ghost that's just what it was like as it strode across the rocky ledge...many thanks for showing a special location and animal. Best wishes.
Absolutely stunning Thomas surpasses anything Ive seen of yours before you must be in dreamland, and boy do you deserve it the work you have put in so far is astonishing, that climb to see the snow leopard true adventurism I'm humbled just watching it many many thanks for allowing us to be part of this adventure. 👌❤
Thank you very much for sharing with us this phenomenal hunt of the ever elusive snow Leopard. This was an epic search and physically demanding adventure. The coverage of your documentary is legendary.
What a magnificent video!! It's incredible how you manage to make those amazing photos and at the same time create such a good story in video. The moment the leopard appeared was breathtaking!
For me, my favourite photo was of the silhouetted mountain goat on the ridge. I literally gasped when that one came on. Until I saw the last image of the snow leopard!! WOW!!

Yeah, it was a cool moment.
Same! I think the rarity of such a sighting and genuine happiness for Thomas being able to see it first hand and to share it with us. Incredible!
Yes me too, I actually had tears, wtf
Brilliant again, Tom! Looks like you may have found a new calling as a wildlife photographer.....Reckon you're hooked!
The moment in the video where the Snow Leopard appeared brought tears to my eyes. Just so beautiful.
It great you saw one, and indeed an amazing experience.

I love the Bob Ross reference. Glad you were able to see the snow leopard again after so many days of no luck. That image at the end was worth it.
Amazing adventure, I am extremely jealous.
Jason
I think you proved one thing. A photographer can take wonderful photos hand held, instead of dragging around a tripod all the time. Great video.
Exactly...heck, I just use my camera phone. hell, if you brace yourself enough you can manage 2sec exposure handheld thanks to IS (at least I did on a XH2)@@frednorman1

Absolutely, but not all of the time.
I can just say! Your Mongolian adventure videos have been amazing. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers from LA.
AWESOME...wow just wow....Amazing landscape and the leopard....grey ghost....OMG
WOW, what an experiance this whole trip is. This is one of those things I will never experiance on my own so watching your vidoes is awesome for me. Thank you!
Love the goat image!
Two of my absolute favorite episodes. Love the landscapes, adventure, and your energy and excitement in it. The specialness of the trip and the moments shines through. Thanks for sharing!
I even got emotional seeing the snow leopard when watching your outstanding footage from the comfort of my home in Toronto, Canada.
The Toronto zoo has a snow leopard or two but not quite the same 😂
I have enjoyed watching your Mongolia adventure and looking forward to next weeks video
At 20:00 was anyone else cringing and saying "Watch the camera! Watch the camera!" LOL!
What a rare and incredible experience Thomas! Love all these images and my favorite is the camels in the distance with the colored hills behind them. You're so lucky to be able to experience these trips. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad you enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of the camel image too 👍
Love your positivity. No matter the circumstances you see the beauty in every challenge you faced. Great video and beautiful images! 📷
I always think, you don't need to go far and just love your Lake District video's to watch. But I must admit............this stuff is incredible! Great, great work!!!
Peak Heaton. Pun indended reminds me of your early videos from a small tent years ago.

Outstanding video once again. Not many true wildernesses left but Mongolia certainly remains one.

Just absolutely fantastic!! What a beautiful creature those leopards are.
Gorgeous photos, Tom. Both this video and the previous, truly well done.
Those leopards are pretty agile as well as elusive. Looks too cold there for me. Carry on. 👍🥂
Well done Tom, enjoying your video sitting here in the heat of summer watching you shoot in the polar opposite... Excellent video! 🇿🇦
Amazing! The Snow leopards definitely make you work for even the most briefest of sightings, making them even more magical.
Amazing adventure! We think the terrain is intense here in Colorado, but WOW! Thanks for bringing us along on this incredible journey.
For me, my favourite photo was of the silhouetted mountain goat on the ridge. I literally gasped when that one came on. Until I saw the last image of the snow leopard!! WOW!!
What a stunning place, those last few shots of the Snow Leopard were worth the wait ! Excellent vid again
Amazing series. My favourite of yours so far
Thank you so much. Mongolia looks sensational.
This has to be the trip of a lifetime. I'm enjoying the ride. I would never have imagined that Mongolia was so beautiful but now I see.
Absolutely unbelievable! What a story!!

Wow breathtaking
