I feel like almost everyone I’ve seen react to this episode so far had kinda looked over the swimming scene at the end, which I absolutely love. Veronica, who spent 12 years constantly having to be in constant distress over whether or not she was making the world unclean by simply interacting with her surroundings - while also suffering from her condition, just got to go in the water at a public beach (something she could never do). Not only that, but the Messiah and his followers jump in the water moments after she stepped out, mentally and psychologically affirming that she is indeed made clean, and does not have to be afraid anymore… I don’t know, nobody ever points it out.
I also love the scene. I came to the Lord as a older teenager, was baptized by immersion several years later and this scene... So filled with the same joy and the freedom of being cleansed, rescued by Him, and the freedom and joy of being His. Thanks to the other commenters for sharing your insights and this experience-Maranatha!
To add a point you made about the fringes representing the law of Moses. When he says "Touching my garment didn't heal you, your faith did." He was essentially saying: The law of Moses didn't heal you, your faith in ME healed you. Harkins back to the, "I am the law of Moses." line.
I love that the name “Veronica” is Greek for “true image”. In the story she really is a true image of faith. A faith that isn’t afraid of what others may think or of the cost to her but is desperate and hungry, like you guys were talking about, to see God move and heal.
The most beautiful thing, other than the good word, is seeing Jesus as the man he may have been. The personality, the struggles, the love and as you say his humanity. It makes the Scriptures even more real.
I am very rough and tough person. I was in 2 wars, I am fighter and I confronted evil in my life both phisical and spiritual... Still I have tears in my eyes after almost every episode. This tv show is gift. ISXC ☦
The chosen truly is a gift. Truly happy to see the about every episode moves you….your heart isn’t all rough and tough as what you’ve been threw physically and mentally and it brings a tear to my eyes of happiness to know. Thank you so much for serving your country and may God bless you!🙏🏻
I absolutely loved Jesus calling Veronica, "Daughter." After I initially got through this episode, my heart jumped.... Tom, I thought of you and your family. - The scenes with Eden losing her beautiful baby, and then the sweet little lamb, Neely leaving, then coming back..... Tom, I worried about you and your family seeing this, but absolutely knew that this episode would fill your hearts with peace. ❤️ Just thinking about you, because I appreciate what you have willingly taught me, and given me. Thank you..... Shalom.
My wife and I have been believers for 60 years, but we still appreciate so much the fresh insights we have never come across before. They add an extra dimension to the story. Thank you for sharing them with us all! 🙂
I have never had a child raised from the dead, but there have been so many times in prayer, like Jairus, all I could do is say is 'thank you'! God is so good!! This was beautiful!
I have been Jairus. My 12 year old son had a severe allergic reaction to clindamycin following a surgery. He had blisters inside his body and could not eat. The blisters on the internal mucus membranes caused blockage in his kidneys and the kidneys themselves both shut down in reaction to the drug. A similar sloughing process was happening in his other internal organs. I didn't know any of this. I had a child who was listless, who had trouble eating, a rash on his body and blisters on his palms. I didn't know he was dehydrated, not eliminating any fluids or poop, and I had been taking him to the doctor for a week. She began him on prednisone and stopped the antibiotic. In the end, he pooped, but was not better, he slept a sleep that was not right all day long that Wednesday and I had a sense he was dying. My husband returned from a trip and agreed to examine him and decided to take him to the ER. He told me gravely,"Pack a bag, and meet me, after you get the kids to bed." I knelt down and my son said, "Mommy. No one understands, even YOU don't understand." "Caleb, forgive me for not knowing what is wrong. But I know Who does and we are going to pray to Him." "Lord, You gave me Caleb and today, I am giving him back to You. I am trusting You to do what needs to be done." I felt Him lift my child into His arms and at the same time, all my fear and worry and concern from two weeks were lifted off too. I was filled with hope, confidence and great expectation and joy! I knew I was going to see Him do a mighty thing. He would not disappoint me. At the hospital, my husband was told our son was in bi-lateral acute kidney failure. They put him on morphine for the pain and an IV. They hoped the kidneys would respond, but when they didn't, unbeknownst to me, they made arrangements for him to travel by ambulance to the Children's Hospital 2 hours away. When I arrived, Caleb was in a corner room, in the dark, alone, with nothing but an IV hooked up to him. His lips were blue and he had no color, and looked like he had passed away. I came out and people were comforting my husband. "No! Caleb will not die!" I shouted in my head. "'Why is he in there alone? Nothing is hooked up to him!" I went to the internist and he told me his gut told him that Caleb would live. "Yes! He will live and NOT die! " I shouted as I hit the counter with my fist. They told me they were just waiting for my arrival to send us immediately by ambulance. Long story short, when we pulled into the Children's Hospital ER at 3 am Thursday morning, the big burly paramedic unloading the gurney shouted, "We've got pee!" A fluid that looked like blood began to fill the bag. We ran down the hallways to the PICU, to a group of 10 or so people waiting to hook him up to dialysis and I was smiling and told them, "It's OK! Caleb's OK, we've got pee!" They looked at me like I was a crazy person. But one by one, wondered away. Over the next 24 hours, the doctors saw a miracle, as they ran tests and watched his kidneys come to life at a rapid pace. They pulled me aside and asked, "You do know that this is not what we usually see, don't you?" "What do you usually see?" "If the child survives the night..... 7 to 10 weeks of in hospital dialysis.." (followed by dialysis for life or a kidney transplant.) That is what evil had in mind for my son. Instead, by 6 pm the Thursday we arrived, we were being moved to a regular floor, where they would wean him off the morphine. At discharge on Saturday morning, he had two fully functioning kidneys! PRAISE God! At pick up time from school the next week, a nurse acquaintance approached me. She said, "Kailey told me that they prayed for a child in acute bi-lateral kidney failure on Friday. I told her... no one at school is that sick." "Oh, yes! That was Caleb! The Lord healed him in less than 24 hours!" She looked at the door and Caleb came running through it towards the car. "That Caleb?" "Yes! That Caleb!" She was struck with confusion and awe. What a MIGHTY God we serve! I LOVE Him more than life! At the month follow up, the nephrologist confessed that he would never have believed the healing was possible. Caleb was a boy in critical condition, likely to die that night. Instead... he had two kidneys functioning at 100%? Impossible... I smiled at him..."But for MY GOD! " To Him be the GLORY! I am an intercessor and part of a healing ministry. I see Him do miracles.... a heart with an irregular heart beat that they plan to stop and restart, begins to beat regularly, as we pray...and they see it "flip over" into normal rhythm at the ultrasound. A medical miracle! Instead of stopping the heart, they wake him up and discharge him from the hospital an hour later! That is our God! He is the MAKER of the stars.... is ANYTHING too big for Him?
The scene of the bleeding woman causes me to tear up every time I watch it. I suffered from Endometriosis which ended my ability to have more children after two surgeries, the first with reduced chances of conceiving, the second with none. Except for the sorrow of becoming incapable of having more children, I'm grateful for the surgeries. It was only way to cure me. That wouldn't have been available 2,000 years ago or even in the recent past of a few hundred years. I have a sense of what she, and probably other women went through.
I love your videos so much. You are dear friends to me in a lonely world. I have no friends and family but have spent the last few years alone and sad and very, very lonely except for online moments with brothers like you, and of course my time with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So truly I am never alone, but I do yearn for anyone to care and want to spend time with me. So, I am thankful I can come online and fellowship with you and other brothers and sisters of sorts and feel like I kind of have a family around me. I wish I could help support your ministry, but maybe someday. In the meantime, you are often in my prayers, and I know God will continue to bless you as you continue to serve him. Thank you again my brothers and God bless.
How soon after an episode of The Chosen do you explain it! I find that I am as excited for your interpretation of each episode as I am for the show itself!! Keep it up, great job, love your humor!!
I need to get up and get ready for work, but I can't stop watching your reaction... You two are a breath of fresh air! Always uplifting, always instructive. Many blessings from Italy
The ending where they're all in the water is one of my favorite endings. I love how it shows Jesus and the gang just being guys and having fun together.
The scene of the woman who touched the fringe of His garment reminds me of the serpent Moses lifted up in the wilderness, that those that looked upon it would be healed by their faith. Also one of my favorite scenes on the Chosen. Blessings to you two! Enjoying your comments on the series from Jerusalem, Israel.
Eden isn’t mad because he was gone, she’s upset because SIMON DIDNT ASK. He didn’t ask what happened while he was gone. In his mind, Eden stood there staring at the door until he walked back through it. Rookie spouse mistake but absolutely devastating when what he missed was both the existence and death of their child.
It's not about how long a person is married. A couple could be married for years but still go through this. It's about communication which is the lack unfortunately is one of the issues of marriages/relationships in the point of time
I love this episode so much. It's my favorite episode so far of the entire show and I still don't really have words to describe how it makes me feel...
I was baptized almost 50 years ago and so it was good of you to remind me that pre-Messiah, there was no indwelling Comforter. I've been through so much and I know I would be alive without that peace that surpasses understanding. Also your exposition of tzitzit is powerful! And, I didn't know about the levels of water purification. Thanks!
Seek and you shall find. Beautiful representation of how when we seek Jesus it can be trying and at times frustrating, but when we are persistent we WILL find Him! Praise God for our faithful Savior Jesus Christ!!❤️
I love your reactions and as a mostly lifetime Christian, I've learned a lot about my Jewish heritage. As a side note, did you notice when Simon did the Vulcan death grip on that guy to make him leave? I loved that.
I love when Jairus says, “If you have blood in your veins, you must help me!” Especially because within scripture, even from back in Genesis: “your brothers blood cries out to me from the ground,” and how blood was a symbol of life. Jairus is saying, ‘because there is life within you help me preserve the life yet within my daughter.’
I love your comment about Jesus (and later Paul) using the term "sleeping" to refer to the dead who will be resurrected. Jesus also told the disciples that Lazarus was sleeping.
The thing that I'd always wondered about was the mourners laughing -- here, the script mentions that it was a requirement imposed by a Jewish leader that they had to hire flute players and mourners -- so it wasn't family members suddenly bursting into laughter. That made this make a lot more sense.
I have watched so many of your videos and appreciate them all. This one was the BEST! You pull in personal experience of living in Israel, scriptures that are relevant but some of us have not read, Jewish tradition that Jesus respected, the ultimate purity of the Jordan river for cleansing, the richness of life that comes from faith in Jesus….so poignant and helpful. Thank you, thank you. 🙏❤️✝️
The blessing before eating or drinking. "Blessed are you Lord our God. King of the Universe. Blessed be your holy name who brings forth the fruit of the vine, or bread from the Earth."
I love watching this channels review of each episode. Excited to see the upcoming review. I wish I either lived close enough to attend your church or that there was a messianic church near me. Keep doing these and your other videos as well. I took a beginner class of Greek and Hebrew and just fell in love with Hebrew.
It was the highlight of my life. Except for in 1987 when I met the Lord personally and was saved from sin. I pray that He will once again come to me and perform a miracle of physical healing. ❤
I always look forward to seeing your reaction video. I am never disappointed. You both give me joy listening to you. Sending you love from across the pond.❤️
I have to watch a Chosen episode at least 3 times- sometimes it's so dark I can't see what's going on, sometimes I can't hear the dialogue clearly and there's things I always miss. I love how you guys break it down. Thanks!
I get more and more out of each episode each time I watch. S3E6 I watched with captions on, as sometimes the accents are hard to understand for me (not complaining) that helped so much. They are all so jam packed with goodness!
Gets me everytime. Thank you Jesus for being our Holy Father who loves us so... much no matter what!!!!. I love you Jesus so....so...so... much. Thank you Thank you Thank you.. There are no words... So true... . Blessed Be Thy Name. The Name of Jesus Christ our LORD and SAVIOUR. PEACE TO ALL.
I watched this and I cried 😭 my granddaughter is 12 years and she took sick suddenly three days before Christmas, she has to catch a flight from the Caribbean to London we had to pray the whole time for her to get on the flight. They put her in first class and took care until she gets to London when this scene is showing I hugged her so tight, and prayed. She is walking much better she can feed herself but can't show herself. I know God will complete her healing
Go ahead Sam, I wish I would have kept that insight in my youth and sometimes I want to kick myself for straying away because I fell for the lies. Just like Dr. Tom makes it clear that we can never be satisfied with the things of this world because the Lord made us in their image so we are not complete until we fill ourselves until we accept Jesus and become whole by the Holy Spirit
I really like this character of Jesus. He seems gentle and soft, but he is very tough and stern when he needs to be. The way he looks at his challengers even scares me
Blessing for water; Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha'olam shehakol nihiyah bidvaro. "Blessed are you Lord our God, King of the universe, that everything came into being through His word."
I loved the "KEEP seeking" part at 10:00. It reminded me of something my pastor said. We all know about the Great Commission - "Go and make disciples". The Greek word used for 'go' actually means AS YOU GO. My point? We don't have to be at a certain place to make disciples. While you walk out your life, make them. Not just at church or on a missions trip.
In the catholic tradition, Veronica is also one of the women Jesus meets on the way to Golgotha and helps him up and gives him a towel to wipe his face when the stations of the cross are prayed during lent. I didn’t know catholic tradition also named the woman with the issue of blood as Veronica. Veronica actually means true image.
35:34 the two bobbing heads. 😊 you two are cute. This is my second video watching you guys. You seem to support each other well and I love the biblical knowledge you bring. I struggle a bit watching the chosen. I notice more and more often that as I am hearing or reading scripture, my brain brings up visions of Chosen movie clips. 😬 It feels a little scary for me. The casting is just phenomenal. So many are just so memorable. I love Giaus. Adore Nicodemus. The Praetor, Quintus……..dominus. They totally nailed him. Simon Peter. Who doesn’t love him? But I think the biggest surprise is Eden. I think she surprised them as well. I don’t think she was going to have such a big part in the beginning, but clearly she stole a lot of hearts. She brings such a genuine purity to the story. It really is a great show.
The wine skin represents seasons and wine represents the anointing. Fasting gets your spirit, soul, and body prepared for the new season. Just like Jesus fasting for 40 days to prepare him for the next 3 years of ministry. Once done fasting he was anointed to fulfill his mission.
Oh my goodness... I just love you guys! Thank you so much for reviewing this absolutely amazing show. Your insights are helpful and your tenderness and sensitivity is in all the right places. God bless you.
2:19 correction on the coffee; coffee actually dehydrates you instead of making you hydrated, I drink tons of coffee so I can notice the difference, water is better to keep you hydrated, but coffee only gives you energy for the day. Also, I have a roommate who is a coffee expert and tells me the exact same thing.
You two have consistently given the best commentary on the Chosen. My only complaint is that you should flip the screen so the scene segments are larger
The actor who plays Jairus was so good. He doesn’t rush his scenes. He draws you into the tension.
I so much agree
I agree!!
I feel like i am in there, and then i cry like a child
I was very impressed with him.
He's brilliant!
I like the contrast between Jairus’ “I know you” to the Pharisee’s “I know who you are” when he meets Jesus at the front door.
Shows the heart, doesn't it? :)
@@annamineer2521there is a sort of parallel with Mary and Zacharias. The difference in their replies and the difference in the result.
I absolutely love the swimming scene. She lets her hair down and enjoy water carefree. Love Jesus and all having fun. What a God we serve
🎉I loved it too! In my heart I was speaking for her, "I'm clean, I'm clean!!'
Jesus brings the blessing of freedom! It's sweet.
I'm with you! It was profound to me as well.
"Do not be afraid. Only believe." My father will be well. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
🥺😢😭😭 The scene with Veronica!! Thank you Father!!
When a scene is so accurately portrayed, it’s hard not be emotional. This is my favorite episode yet.
mine too so far
Mine too. I cry happy tears every time. It feels my heart too when he calls her daughter. Oh it feels my heart. 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️😊
To add a point you made about the fringes representing the law of Moses. When he says "Touching my garment didn't heal you, your faith did."
He was essentially saying: The law of Moses didn't heal you, your faith in ME healed you. Harkins back to the, "I am the law of Moses." line.

Brilliant. And so obvious I totally skipped over it! Thank you.

Good one .. I didn't know that about what her name means .. although Jesus did say something about her name, no?
Thank you my Jewish brothers for giving us the Messiah to help all of us unworthy sinners and give us a life of peace, love and joy.

“I know who you are.” (Pharisee) vs. “I know you.” (Jairus); the difference of knowledge vs knowing.
❤
I love how Jesus looks Heavenward after He does a miracle... and He smiles
The love you two have for Yeshua comes through so clearly, as you watch the One you love, love others.
I have never had a child raised from the dead, but there have been so many times in prayer, like Jairus, all I could do is say is 'thank you'! God is so good!! This was beautiful!

I love your reactions and as a mostly lifetime Christian, I've learned a lot about my Jewish heritage. As a side note, did you notice when Simon did the Vulcan death grip on that guy to make him leave? I loved that.
Episodes 4 and 5 are my favourite ones as well as the entire season three.
I just subscribed to your channel, I absolutely loved your reactions to the chosen, the chosen has changed my life in so many ways 🙏❤️
Glad you're here!
Same!! Just binged all 3 seasons recently and have enjoyed these reviews so much.🥹
This actor playing Jairus is sooo good!
Jairus represent every parent whose child is dying; he makes it so real. I wept since I have experienced that before!
Sam, your bright eyes speak for many, when you have those "aha" moments,
I can understand the ending of this episode . You get the feeling about how Eden is feeling .
I always enjoy watching your reactions! It's a beautiful way to dive into the scripture! Lots of blessed love from the Netherlands
I always wondered if "sleeping" meant, 'in a coma.' But Lazarus was ripe smelling.
The thing that I'd always wondered about was the mourners laughing -- here, the script mentions that it was a requirement imposed by a Jewish leader that they had to hire flute players and mourners -- so it wasn't family members suddenly bursting into laughter. That made this make a lot more sense.
All ritual cleansing should be so joyous!!
Deep deep deep. Thank you.
Your shows helps my depression! The scripture reading, explanations and laughter. I can't get enough.
Praying for you Diane. ❤️🌷
Thank you so much for this reaction because I am sure that this was a very emotional episode for many.
I love that i can tell when my friend with the beard is getting ready to cry. He breathes out loudly and covers his mouth. Hahah he is also me haha
The blessing before eating or drinking. "Blessed are you Lord our God. King of the Universe. Blessed be your holy name who brings forth the fruit of the vine, or bread from the Earth."
I have The Chosen Unfiltered Come and See World Tour T-shirt which has the places he preached on the back.
If you don't mind me asking: where did you get that shirt?
I love watching this channels review of each episode. Excited to see the upcoming review. I wish I either lived close enough to attend your church or that there was a messianic church near me. Keep doing these and your other videos as well. I took a beginner class of Greek and Hebrew and just fell in love with Hebrew.
I went to Israel with my sister CarolAnn with a Messianic Jewish team.
It was the highlight of my life. Except for in 1987 when I met the Lord personally and was saved from sin. I pray that He will once again come to me and perform a miracle of physical healing. ❤
Physical healing and spiritual healing. Jesus wore the fringes and He obeyed Gods Word.
Turn on the closed caption, it will help. I am nearly deaf and it allows me to understand what is going on.
Noticed Jesus had to remove the disbelief, happens in our walk as well . We need to rid ourselves of disbelief before Jesus can work in our lives ❤
Wow, my first time watching you guys live
The way he looks at his challengers even scares me
Blessing for water;
Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha'olam shehakol nihiyah bidvaro.
"Blessed are you Lord our God, King of the universe, that everything came into being through His word."
Man I wish you guys had included your reaction to the beginning with Eden it explains so much and is so emotional
I think that was all on it's OWN
Thank you for telling us what you meant by the name of "Veronica"... 🙂
Kudos to “Mr. Producer” for helping the Grafted out; 😂
I loved the "KEEP seeking" part at 10:00. It reminded me of something my pastor said. We all know about the Great Commission - "Go and make disciples". The Greek word used for 'go' actually means AS YOU GO. My point? We don't have to be at a certain place to make disciples. While you walk out your life, make them. Not just at church or on a missions trip.
This evaluation was awesome! So meaningful!!!
Wow!!! around minute 9 is just what I needed to hear! I think this is the Holy Spirit replying me on one question! Than youuuuu!
Creating hunger .. very good! I so get that!
I've been waiting on pins and noodles for this episode! Thanks gentlemen!!! Love your show!😘
Pins and noodles! Haha! That sounds sneaky dangerous! Oh autocorrect.
@@FaithInExile Nah, not autocorrect just me being silly!
Made me laugh! Pins and 🍜 noodles!
Each miracle, Yashua Always looks up, Thanking G-d. Would that we were this consistent. Blessings, Guys🙏❤️😇
Congratulations guys I like it a lot as well is my family GOD BLESS you all
How have I never found your channel before?!?! Liked AND subscribed AND shared with all my friends. 🤗🥰😉
SO they needed the Cana miracle in reverse....wine into water LOL
The wine skin represents seasons and wine represents the anointing. Fasting gets your spirit, soul, and body prepared for the new season. Just like Jesus fasting for 40 days to prepare him for the next 3 years of ministry. Once done fasting he was anointed to fulfill his mission.
Amazingly beautiful scene. The woman playing Verónica is fully engaged and TRUE. Gorgeous scene.
This has always been my favorite bible story. I agree, it was beautifully portrayed.
I love the new background setting😀
I’ve been waiting for this!!! Glad i just came in
Oh my goodness... I just love you guys! Thank you so much for reviewing this absolutely amazing show. Your insights are helpful and your tenderness and sensitivity is in all the right places. God bless you.
Thank you for your wonderful teaching, explanations, and heartfelt reactions.
So powerful and beautiful, love this!!
You are so expressive, watching you- so good!🙌🏽♥️
I realy love your show....thank you!
