    Ty, Susan! Nice to know what to do in this case. Into my journal it goes! 2day I tried a drape. 7 hours later it looks just like it did when I put it in the kiln. Low slump at 1225 with a 15 minute hold. Love tge learning curve. Thank you again for sharing! Be safe be well!

    I'm doing something similar with clear float glass(window glass). I'm presuming your glass has a COE of 90-96 as most craft glass . Float glass on the other hand is 80-86 COE. And so I'm hedging my temperature a little higher. Hope all is well on your end.

    Susan, Love the tip, I was wondering what color Dichro are you using to get the Opal look? I have been trying to get that look for ever!!!! Also, is there a number for the bit? I don,t want to scratch the Dichro.by using too coarse a bit .Thank you!! I love all your videos!

    Question, when you fire polish, does the other side that is now on the bottom of the kiln become dull? Like, can both sides be shiny then?

    As I wondering if there was a way to shine them up :)

    • @SusanMcGarryGlass
      @SusanMcGarryGlass  3 роки тому

      Cindy you can definitely shine them up. With enough time you can “fire polish” them in the kiln. That means to put them into the kiln just until the surface of the glass gets soft. I talk about that a lot in other videos. You can also use cold working equipment like a flat lap.
