@@Magictecture When I was a kid in the 1970's, my friends and I would dream about something like this! We'd get chalk and wagons and pretend for hours.

Grew up in N. Tustin , summer bedtime was when the Big A & Disney fireworks started .
We’d watch them and fall asleep with dreams of Tinkerbell zipping across the sky , humming “ It’s a small world“ and imagining the cool rush of wind on our face as we flew through the dark on this ride !

The mountain has a little bit of growing to do to be a replica, but it looks like fun.

I've always wanted to build a roller coaster in my backyard, and this is just inspiring me more. I've got the space and time, but funding is low. Hopefully, I can build something after high school.

I'm no engineer, or even a true member of this hobby, but working with PVC seems like where most people start. I'd recommend checking out Will Pemble's channel - he's built some fantastic coasters.
@@WasatchWind Yeah, Will Pemble was a huge inspiration for this project. Additionally, Paul Gregg is a great resource and even has a how to document that you can find.
The terrian work is totally unreal and I love it!
Thanks Seth! The rock work took around twenty people two months to complete. It was hands down the most involved part of the project.

Wow . Something like big thunder mountain would be cool because you could use the existing mountain and coaster you built and just re theme it.

To my knowledge, I can't really think of if any of the homemade coasters I've seen have been themed.
There have been some fantastic ones like Oklahoma Land Run, Blue Flash, and Will Pemble's coasters -
But I've never seen a themed one. This is incredible.

Wow, I've seen some backyard coasters, but this is next level. My non-existant hat is off to all of you who worked on this, it is absolutely amazing.
Now this is what I call a backyard roller coaster. Amazing
Im from England and this is so amazing and very impressive. A backyard roller coaster which looks great and then on top of that its been themed to look like the Matterhorn mountain (Disneyland) well done .... i would love to have this in the back garden. My friends would be calling every day to get on this.

I can see a future for the Magictecture guys, as a business - there may be a market for this - anyone with acreage and children and enough cash may want something like this. Also smaller cities & towns with investors who want to create something better and more regular than an occasional traveling carnival, some sort of small-scaled local theme park. I could see a few rides like this being added to one of the city parks in my own area!
Rides need extensive maintenance and constant supervision to ensure safety, so this couldn't be permanently placed at a public park except at great cost (not to mention that the small clearance envelope of this particular ride wouldn't allow it to pass safety regulations).
Wow!! And I thought I had already seen the best Backyard rollercoasters, but this one is just...wow!

This may even more entertaining than the Disney version. This is really impressive. You guys should consider mass producing several types of coasters for people like me that is clueless about physics and using dangerous power tools so we can enjoy these in our backyards. I would buy one for sure especially like a dark ride haunted house coaster where its all enclosed in the dark.

That was quite a fast ride but I loved the movie and the music was great. I will say the end of the rode does need a chain pull up to the loading dock right where you lost speed.
