    Dawg you have no idea how pissed i am, but simultaneously relieved i watched all of this.
    I thought something was wrong with Logic, or my AKAI MPK Mini. Let me explain..
    I have my FaderPort V.2, I wanted it to do what it does while the MPK's knobs would control Logic's compressor. I tried the Smart controls so many times, because when I would switch between tracks I thought Logic was forgetting the parameters.. but no
    No bro, do you know what it was?

    I’ve changed the entire keyboard rig including cables and connectors even purchased Apple USB c to USB convertors. Nothings seems to work fine. This happens when I play VST plug-ins as well. Updated to latest os, factory reset app, cleaned it with app cleaner. Nothing works. Called Apple Support and did as they instructed but still the issue is same. Hey MTHG! ive been following along with your videos for some time. Honestly, your teaching methods, explanations and executions are of superior assistance to me!
    I am an artist / producer from Toronto, my name is Vyvyd 😁
    Question : Streamdeck + / Makie Controls
    I currently own a streamdeck + (with knobs) and I have used it for about a month for Logic Pro and it has proven to be a staple in my studio.
    Within Elgatos app, there is a plug in i currently use and it is for "Mackie" controls.
    Currently its usefullness seems to be limited to - scrubbing of the time line, zooming, track selection and faders.
    1 is there a way to have more in depth controls (eq control, vst control, or any other workflow processes that may speed up efficiency)
    2 If so, how would i go about committing to creating the controls / mackies with Logic and Elgato's App in order to execute this?
    Thank you for all your hard work!!!!!!!!!

Since I can't afford the big Mackie mix controller and only have a cheap Akai MPK Mini with 8 dials on it, is there a way to set it up so that I can re-use those 8 dials based on the situation? For example, if I set them up like you did in the video to control the fader, pan, sends, etc. Can I also set those same dials up to control all the EQ dials in an SSL EQ plugin (Waves CLA Mixhub) when it's open then go back to controlling the channel strip when the plugin is closed?

    • @robotmeadows
      @robotmeadows 4 роки тому +3

      Hi, after digging around for a day I have found a way to do this. You'll do this by creating a zone, then creating different modes inside the zone, you'll then assign the CC's inside the modes and switching between the modes will let you perform what you want. Here's the thing tho, for this to work you must NOT have anything learned in the 'NO ZONE', this is basically because 'NO ZONE' tells logic to move the CC no matter what, which is exactly what we don't want. So the first step is actually to remove anything that is in the 'NO ZONE'. Here's an example to further clarify: 1. Open up the Controller Assignment Window and if necessary, delete the learned controls from 'No Zone' --- 2. Create a new zone and name it 'Fader'. ---- 3. Inside zone 'Fader' create two modes and name them 'Channel Strip' and 'Cutoff'. ---- 4. Inside mode 'Channel Strip' assign the volume to be controlled by your fader as shown in the video. --- 5. Inside mode 'Cutoff' assign the same fader used in step 4 to control the cutoff of a filter. --- If you've done it correctly you will no longer get a popup telling the controller has already been assigned, and now simply switching between the two modes will let you use the fader to control two different things. Hope that helps!!!

    • @LegionIO
      @LegionIO 2 роки тому

      @@robotmeadows the problem is, when you apply something in the new created mode, (channel strip/cutoff), in the new zone (Fader), it auto adds it to the NO ZONE. And if you delete from the NO ZONE, it deletes the others. Any help please?
