Ah, sewn in place doll hair, the bane of doll owners everywhere. I’ve never seen it on a collector doll though.
The packaging of dolls has gotten so much better over the years! Sewn in hair is one of the worst things ever for a doll. I remember it on most dolls when I was little, but the fanciest doll I had back then was a Holiday Barbie!
I have a few of the Furskin bears!😂 I've never seen that target barbie before either! You got a great haul!
It is so much fun to wander around thrift and antique stores looking at all of the stuff you had completely forgotten about or finding things you never even knew existed!! The best days are when you find all of the stuff you have wanted since you were little. 😸😸
Good morning my friends. This is a cool haul! I Love the Bob Mackie doll. We have at least 3 but I can't remember. I know we have the Bob Mackie Yellow one that looks like the sun and one that is Green, it's beautiful. I think we have a black and white one too. William's dad collected a lot of Barbies over the years; now the Barbies are William's and mine. He has all of the Holiday Barbie some of them he has all the hair colors. They are amazing! We have the Star Trek one and he has several Audrey Hepburn's. One of these days I will have to make a spreadsheet of all the dolls we have now. It's awesome! You two have a great day, hugs and love.
OOOOOO Your doll collection sounds fun!!! The Holiday Barbies are so fun! I actually don't have any of those in my collection. They have some of the BEST dresses though. I am very happy to add one Bob Mackie doll to my collection, and happier that someone else took it out of the box already so I can play with it guilt free! It is smart to keep a list of the dolls you have and the dolls you are looking for. I keep pics of my collection on my phone to make doll hunting a little easier!
@@boredhouseflies8789 That is super cool! I wish mine were out of the box, they are so pretty and I would love to play with them but I've been told I can't have them out of the box. Uggg sometimes you have to give in to them or you don't get to buy more dolls, lol. I don't have a list of all my
Barbie's but I would love to get them all out of storage and put them in a spread sheet and take a pic to put on my phone. That would be an awesome thing to do and I love making lists, lol.
The dolls really do look so pretty in the boxes though. It is difficult to open them sometimes! I still have some that I may never open.....I have been a collector for so long, that it sometimes makes me cringe to take a doll out of the box!🤣🤣🤣 But as I get older, I realize that I am never going to sell them, so I might as well play with them!😄😄😄
@@boredhouseflies8789 That is true, and a lot of dolls never really go up in price very much. So, I'm going to play with my dolls because it makes me happy, and I don't care if someone thinks I'm being childish or it's stupid to collect dolls. I'ma do what the fuck I want! Sorry for the bad language but it wouldn't come across right any other way, lol. I'm to old to be told I can't do something, the world can kiss my assk her for a cup of sugar...(in a sing songy voice) LOL! Stand strong my fellow doll lovers, they can't take us down or intimidate us with their foul remarks! Hells yeah! Love you guys!

Loved Jem dolls. Not the ones with the grin, the originals. Didn't know anything about the show.
I have a seventies ballerina barbie. I bought it because it was the first barbie doll that I remember noticing as a little kid. It was in the Sears catalogue at the same time as the first grinning barbies.
Does Star Trek barbie have the shorts under her tunic?
The Sears and JC Penny catalogs were the best things ever around the holidays. I remember going through them for hours and making lists of all of the toys I was going to ask Santa for! So much fun!
Star Trek Barbie is just wearing tights and a very short dress!
@@boredhouseflies8789 LOL I never saw any hope of actually owning any of the toys, though I DID get a Winnie The Pooh Weeble Wobble tree house and a Tigger hand puppet at different times that weren't Christmas. I just enjoyed looking at the pictures and longing for things.

Brian here. While I really don't like Winnie The Pooh...I do really like Weeble Wobbles! Probably from the commercial programming of the 80s. Weebles wobble but they won't fall down! Super awesome!
