I know this franchise isn’t as popular as other animated series like Despicable Me, Ice Age, and Shrek, but I actually really like it. It has some pretty great humor and some pretty great characters. One of the best Adam Sandler films.
Movie, not franchise. Only this movie was great. Only Shrek (minus 3) and Ice Age 3 were made for the pure love of the franchise and not for money.

Also I feel like they should have skipped the third movie and just introduced Erica in a short like they did Tinkles, but the second movie was really good and the fourth movie was ok.

I remember when I first saw this when it first came out, I didn't care about it, and I didn't like it at all. Then for the first time in years I rewatched when Welchy uploaded the movie marathon reaction video. And I remember being like "how did I not care for and or like this movie it's so good." The first one is definitely my favorite out of them all. Would love to see you and Welchy do a collab! Love your videos! You do such an amazing job!

When the first Hotel Transylvania came out, I thought it was a Happy Madison movie. Seeing how the cast was literally Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi and several other celebrities who couldn’t get out of their contracts. But, seeing how it’s a Sony animated movie, it’s pretty good. (Mavis is the best character, btw. Selena Gomez killed this role)
These movies are fun. Not everyone appreciates the wacky animation and goofy comedy, but they work well personally.
What's my favorite Hotel Transylvania movie, I would have to say number 2 for a good many reasons but mostly because it has Mel Brooks in it and Mel Brooks makes everything so much better

This movie is so underrated hilarious! And I really like how we play with the lore of the monsters as well as stereotypes of monsters and humans. Hotel Transylvania 2 is my most favorite because there’s a lot more action and a lot more sentimental values. 🧛🏻♂️🧛🏻♀️🧑🏻🦰🖤❤️

You should try to watch The Sand during October if you can find it. It is a horror/suspense that has Circle vibes with how it just has one scene, people dealing with the problem in the real timeframe, and a (mostly) hidden enemy. At the same time it feels like a cheap theatre school project gone oh so right. It's the only true horror I can watch because of its lack of jump scenes and minimal gore, yet it has one of the most terrifying villain concepts.

It actually took me a while to watch it, I think because I thought it might be a cheesy rehash?" But when I actually watched it I loved it. My favorite part is likely when Mavis and Johny are on the roof for the sunrise. And the intro with Dracula raising Mavis before she's all grown.
I will say I'm not entirely a fan of the "Zinging" because the only reason the monsters and Dracula actually take Mavis' feelings seriously, and care about it is "We zinged. It would have been more impactful if it was because they actually saw him as a nice guy, and realized maybe humans aren't the way they thought anymore. It also feeds into the cliche of love at first sight, which I don't always like because it can make kids think that if they feel a certain way about someone, they'll only ever love that one single person.

10:52 I wouldn’t call monsters hating humans racist. Monsters and humans are different species, not race. It’s prejudice, but not against another’s race. It’s like, humans can hate bugs and no one calls that prejudice (even though it technically is). It’s just no one really cares. Because when it comes to animals vs humans, it doesn’t really matter cause humans aren’t animals in anyway.

I wish you can do movies like the original Godzilla movie from 1954, a dark film based on the themes of how devastating the atomic bomb truly is, and why testing them is awful in the 1950s(I want you to do some research before watching, it becomes a lot more interesting with the context of the Japanese people at the time). But for more uniqueness, may I recommend The Day The Earth Stood Still(1951) a classic in the genre of science fiction that I genuinely love from the genre!
Trust me, I can't deal with sad eyes either. I understand Buzz now.

All four of the hotel Transylvania movies are really funny and cool but I wish there would be a fifth hotel Transylvania movie when Dennis is about to become a big brother to twin sisters! He called the elders twin Martha after his grandmother and the other Mina after a character in a Dracula storybook! And I can picture Dracula calling his new granddaughters his little black cats! And when he said that Martha and Mina said they wanted black cats! And according to the story in my version the twins wanted to be real people instead of half vampires and they sometimes wished that they would see their grandmother in heaven! But they have their parents and their older brother Dennis and their grandfather! Martha and Mina are identical twins and they look just like their mother when she was little only Martha takes after their dad she likes karate and Mina likes to read books about everything she sometimes wished that she would go to a school! And Martha and Mina's worst fear was dog drool! It may sound weird but that's how the twins felt about dogs! So I was thinking that they should make a spoof on the peanuts saying Dennis has been kissed by a dog get hot water, get some disinfected get, some iodine! That was the part when Dennis was kissed by Winnie! Does that sound funny or what!?😂
If you are looking for absolute bare bones accomodations and don't mind sharing a room with 3-7 other people (think mega dorm), hostels are a great alternative to hotels. They're usually located close to all the hustle and bustle in a city (at least in the US), so they're pretty convenient on top of being super cheap 👍
