I just bought this headset a few days ago. I am so impressed with this version of the Blackshark V2 they have improved the sound and the mic is much much better. I didn't really even ajust the equalizer I only changed it to movie mode in THX. Movie mode was the better option for me. You can hear the plosives and tss'sss without the mic sock but its not even so terrible.
Excellent headset. Hands down one of my best recent purchases. The only downside for me is that Razer continues to refuse to support macOS through their Synapse software...
Hi! I just bought this headset discounted for 'Black Friday' and it is really great. Microphone is insanely good and it still bothers me how these are so comfortable, I used only Logitech headset like G533, Pro X and tried 733 at one point, they are not even close to this headset. Good value for the money I must say.
Razer in my experience makes some of the best headsets out there- good sound and solid mics. Usually you get one or the other or neither but with Razer you get a good all around product.
@@BanterSage Not really sure why you are comparing audiophile headphones to gaming headphones- what razer does well is combining a decent microphone and ok cans. For gaming headset that's what most people want and they will work very well for 99% of people.
Im about to get a ps5 and cant decide between this or the pulse 3d. The mic on this sounds so much better but I don't like having a mic on my mouth. This costs about £100 more as well. What do you think I should buy?
Tried the steelseries nova 7. The mic is awful, and the treble is so high that it gave me earaches. Also the steelseries sonar software is so bloated. I received these today and i love it. Great mic, great sound, great comfort. Not sure other brands can balance it without paying alot. Also about dual connectivity. Discord is cross platforms now so it's not really an issue for me. If a call is that important then i would just leave the game.
I bought one and returned it; for my use case I needed it to also work as a Bluetooth headset for work. It kept turning off if it didn’t receive a signal, so it was never ready when I went to answer a call.

Looking forward to the comparison video, specifically about the mics. I'm needing to move from a podcast mic to a headset, wireless mic for work calls from home so I can multitask during them. Was using the shure sm7b, but of course no wireless solutions with that one. Debating between buying the shure mv7 and try managing with usb audio from my iphone, or, getting a headset like this or the virtuoso for the mic (which will likely be what I do).
They sound good but they have many problems. I had 2 pairs of these and both went back for a refund. They constantly disconnect even though the dongle is literally 2 feet in front of me. When they do disconnect and reconnect they reconnect at full volume and blow your ears out. They have a bad connection to start with they constantly can't get a good signal (2 feet in front 1 foot below head level) and start having a really annoying digital robot effect. The volume wheel keeps turning and when it gets to full volume it gives an annoying beep that goes over any sound. I have the original v2 pro and I think they are better, Sure they can have a bad connection at times but at least it doesn't sound like a 56k modem has gone rogue in your ears.
I am planning to get one myself as well. This is what I found out. The 2023 version will have a Bluetooth label on the front of the box. Otherwise just regard the rest as 2020 version. Hope it helps!
i just bought this headset and i have a horrible exprience since all of the time you can hear a constant hissing (shhhh) sound which cant be turned off even when i put sound to 0 the only way to fix this is when i turn off the entire headset
They need to polish the side tone a bit. It sounds a bit compressed and digitized compared to other headsets like Astro A40. I just set up my Blackshark today (2023). Amazing all around once you fine tune everything on a PC. I’m running them on my PS5 I do kinda miss the power and range of the A40s, as the Blackshark feels more punchy and narrow (I’ve tried to mess with the EQ, but idk). I updated the firmware to the latest version and yet it didn't solve it, so I had to return it and asked for a refund. Be careful as l have read many comments regarding same exact issues that I faced with others.
