That she alone knew what was best, what was right.... and she meted out the same brutality she railed against the masters for... but the masters actually valued their slaves (not in the right way but they valued them) while she uses them as a moralistic foil to explain why she alone can sit in a metal chair. Take it from someone who became strong, finding it in myself after my family tortured and neglected me for my entire life, and rather than use that strength in pursuit of my own ambitions, started to do so much work in the community that I was shaving years off my lfie expectancy by the month. first of all he wasn’t even loyal to her yet in this scene. second of all is he just supposed to be okay with genocide and Dany doing what she was always against?
This scene resonated with me deeply, standing out in the entirety of Season 7. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of self-belief, especially in moments when you feel worthless or overwhelmed. In times of chaos and uncertainty, it's crucial to remember that you are your own greatest ally. Yes, it's okay to lean on others or seek help, but ultimately, the faith you have in yourself is what will carry you through the toughest times. She stepped into the pyre with unwavering faith, believing that she would not burn. She had the conviction that those eggs would hatch, and that her dragons-her children-would be there for her, no matter what. This self-belief is a lesson in the strength that comes from within. It's a reminder that when everything else falls apart, the trust you place in yourself is what will lead you to rise above the ashes. In our own lives, this kind of faith is essential. Believing in yourself, even when the odds are against you, can be the difference between giving up and pushing forward. It's about knowing, deep down, that you have the power to overcome any obstacle. That inner belief is what will guide you, protect you, and ultimately, save you. No matter how dark the situation, having faith in yourself is the light that will guide you through.

I think she is annoying and arrogant, and even though I like this speech in itself, the fact that she's saying it makes me dislike her even more. Let me explain, she arrives on a new continent that she never lived on and expects everyone to "bend the knee" to her (claiming she shouldn't be judged for her mad father's sins while doing the same to others). In my opinion, she's really entitled, has too much ego (but also being easily triggered) and impractical (remember the dialogue she had with the ship owner), and that's why if this speech would have been said by Jon for example (which is out of character anyway) I would have definitely appreciate it better
Daenerys is "obey me or burn" that's not a deliverer that's a tyrant. Jon doesn't know what he's doing, Tyrion is an abuser of women, Ned is putting his own honor before his family's safety and Robb is just an idiot.

I wonder what kind of dialogue we would have gotten if writers decided to explore the effects of the fact that now Jon Snow is the rightful heir instead of her on Daenerys but no let's watch pointless action scenes
I can see one of two things happening. The first scenario would be Daenerys becoming paranoid and going mad over it. The second scenario would be her and Jon ruling together. I personally like scenario two better but if the first one was written properly and given time to develop I’d love it as well.
@@danielmino1690 well if the Targaryen would come in power he'll be the rightful heir he is older than Dany age doesn't even matter since Jon is a man and crown prince Rhaegar's son as Rhaenys said it herself "Men would sooner put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne" that's how the dance of the dragon happened, as much as misogynistic it is that's how things are in the books 😭

That's not strength or self-empowerement, that's HUBRIS and self-entitlement that eventually turned her into a tyrant and made her believe she can decide for others. No matter how rushed season 8 was, her ultimate ending wasn't out of nowhere. She wasn't ''born to rule'' (she was the youngest child, she would never ascend) - and only by a twist of fate she was left the last Targaeryen. She was also not the only one in this series who was sold and chained and r*d (Sansa, Theon and so many minor characters) - yet people don't feel sympathy for them. Her eggs were gifted to her. Yes, she did the rest but so did others on their paths without developing a Messiah complex. You can see even here that she already doesn't think about people, she only wants what she think is hers aka POWER. She thinks if she suffered she is owed something... Well, guess what. Millions suffer for NOTHING and there will be no reward or prize or compensation. She couldn't handle the truth which eventually broke her which is NOT something to emulate or admire (and no, that was not depression or grief or insanity, that was banal hubris and corruption of mind).

I really love how this woman is lecturing this man on how she survived all these terrible hardships by 'believing in herself'. Meanwhile, the man listening has fought undead armies and was actually murdered by his own before being brought back to life. He then went on to rise from Lord Commander of the Nights Watch to the first King of the North in three centuries, all the while having been a bastard. His devotion to his duty inspired the love of everyone he knows.
Not actually a bastard, was never raised like others because his adoptive father (de facto uncle) cared properly for him, Robb Stark beats him to the "first in three centuries' bit (and actually reigned longer than him as well, I'm pretty sure). Yes, he went through immense hardships Beyond-the-Wall and was murdered and resurrected, so he is very tough, but I'd say they're about equal, mainly given the horrrific conditions Dany lived her childhood (formative years) in compared to Jon's childhood in Winterfell.
Daenerys was so arrogant, megalomaniac. Jon didn't want to know his life story, he had his own ghosts and achievements. But Jon didn't go around, boasting about his accomplishments and complaining about his troubles.
It’s somehow natural that she goes mad. So many people think that hard life makes you stronger, true to a certain extent but if you are weak (which 90% of abused people are unfortunately or rather let’s say human) you will eventually go berserk and turn into the very thing that you despise the most: the person(s) who abused you and start abusing other people.
The final line of A Game of Thrones: "...and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons." George has been busy in more recent years retconning the length of time dragons have been absent from Planetos. But it was originally hundreds of years.
@@r.f.6702Meh, it was an exaggeration from Dany's perspective It wasnt retconned because even in the Appendix of the first book, it speaks of the dragons dying out during the reign of Aegon III.
And people were so surprised at the ending. Yes, she may have had compassion for slaves and probably wanted to be a benign and good ruler. But to rule was always her primary motivation, something she thought was her birthright.
Well, not exactly her birthright. The Targaryen factor kinda made it seem like it but, after having her dragons and then slowly evolving as a person, all those changes are what made her realise that she is, indeed, the best choice for the throne. Let's all just forget the ending though, and reflect on how amazing all GoT characters are, despite the shitty writing. :/
@@fmichaela99 The thing is, she believed herself to be such a better ruler than anyone else, that all atrocitied done in order to achieve that were justified in her mind. And I can understand her, througout all the abuse and suffering she suffered, being the destined ruler of Westeros is what kept her going
I mean honestly would the night king really be a threat cuz that wall has been there for the longest keeping them out he was so worried about the night king but the night king hasn’t got past that wall for how long? So what’s the point of trying to stop him even tho he couldn’t get past the wall without a dragon?
Well, in the Targaryen line there were Rhaegar first, than his son Aegon Targaryen, then Viserys, then her... So she basically was the 4 in the line to rule, so no, she wasn't born to rule ahahah

@@r.f.6702Meh, it was an exaggeration from Dany's perspective
It wasnt retconned because even in the Appendix of the first book, it speaks of the dragons dying out during the reign of Aegon III.
Name of movie??
And people were so surprised at the ending. Yes, she may have had compassion for slaves and probably wanted to be a benign and good ruler. But to rule was always her primary motivation, something she thought was her birthright.
Well, not exactly her birthright. The Targaryen factor kinda made it seem like it but, after having her dragons and then slowly evolving as a person, all those changes are what made her realise that she is, indeed, the best choice for the throne. Let's all just forget the ending though, and reflect on how amazing all GoT characters are, despite the shitty writing. :/
@michaela yes.. I will raise a pint to that. 🍺
Yep all that good character used just for bran the broken😂
Name of that queen??
*Five years ago
Glad much of this has been on record for awhile
Varys and illyrio was prepared for viserys,, danaerys came out of syllabus
Damn nutter wasn't born to rule jackshit. Jon was, it's literally why Rhaegar pursued Lyanna, to father the Prince that was Promised.
"Don't judge me for my father's sins!"
"Your father and his best friend tried to kill me!"
Wow...just...wow!
QUEEEEENNN!!!!!!!!!!
Well, in the Targaryen line there were Rhaegar first, than his son Aegon Targaryen, then Viserys, then her... So she basically was the 4 in the line to rule, so no, she wasn't born to rule ahahah
I believe she was speaking In the sense that she’s a Targaryen, who were born to rule
who brought the dragons back? Not Jon. She brought the essence of house targaryen back after almost extinction
@@glensaldivar3169 she didn't do shit to bring dragons back , she just took their eggs with her in fire and just so it happens , the eggs cracked .
@@shantiprakashbihani1420 Name one Targ that brought back dragons? Something that several others tried and died doing. Don’t downplay her, cause you aren’t winning this argument Shanti.
Why isn't this in any female rage video?
because ‘female rage’ is screaming or getting violent and stuff
Broken Minds!!
Okay resume! Go off
Hi i just wanna say something
technically the series is kinda wrong the Dothrakii have crossed the narrow sea before but not a one army, there have been a couple to come to Westeros to fight for money
so its technically wrong but yeah.
You will be ruling over a graveyard if we dont defeat the night king, destroyed in one sentence 😂
Great *s*peach
(spell?)
"I was born to rule the seven kingdoms and I will."
Season 8: No, fuck off
Look look look, sexual abuse is WRONG.. but the fact that it's Drogo she's referring to and not a bunch of Dothraki gang-r'ing her irks me
Drogo is the only one who canonically raped her…
😁
The entitlement on this gal
The was Queen of the 7 Kingdoms, of course she’s entitled lol
Entitled and delusional. Her claim to the Iron Throne is only by birthright and when Jon Snow has been revealed that he has more claim, she silenced him!
because she has faith in herself and knows that she is the true ruler? you sound dumb🤣
You will ruling over a graveyard. Forget about the second part of sentence. That is what happened to Daenerys.
I was hoping Jon would say '' I don't fucking care", because it's true, WE DON'T FUCKING CARE
Wow! You got an entire 2 likes from that, one probably being yourself😂
Men speaking few works carrying much meaning
People really have to stop simping for this narcissist.
That's mostly women who like her cause they think this is women empowerment .
And the 'Faith' killed her.
You’ll Be Ruling Over A Graveyard. 🫳

Hated by all wanted by all betrayed by all defeated by none
.......
Got G.O.T?
❤🧝♀️ Love her 👑
Gotta love how she wasted her time giving a speech about being queen to the one guy who couldn't care less about who rules.
