💖If you are in a similar situation, please remember the 7 C's: You didn’t CAUSE it. You can’t CURE it. You can’t CONTROL it. You can CARE for yourself. By COMMUNICATING your feelings. Making healthy CHOICES. CELEBRATING yourself. No matter where you are in your journey, you have a safe place here to share your struggles and accomplishments without judgment. This is how we shatter the mental health stigma.💖

Know this he isn't speaking to us he opening up, so dont demoralize the idea of him being stuck in the trauma he's stuck in and why they are, u speak to us like we didn't know he was young when it all happen, he says it himself that "he was just a kid and couldn't understand it" the way u speak sounds like u didn't have much of a relationship with your parents thats why u can't see past ur narrow minded analogies, fans resignate with NF because we allow ourselves to walk in the shoes of another to better understand and be able to show sympathy to those who have been in his situation, please don't go down the rabbit hole if all u can see is a cookie cutter life and nothing more.

@@dominiclara799 I actually had a wonderful relationship with my parents. They were my best friends (even when I had close friends my own age) but still guided me and helped me grow and learn.

Which needless to say, a cookie cutter life as predicted, simple enough to say something petty and let u show off your reasoning for lacking the ability of being empathetic and yet remain arrogant with the trait to be little someone's life when it isnt even your own but go ahead and convey your emotions since u can do from the outside, as if it wasn't contradicting yourself that much more, he can't control what happened and we know but still, you can??? You've never gone through this but act as if u know it... smh hilarious if music don't suit u then hop off the wagon or at least your high horse.

    • @MentalAmanda

@@dominiclara799 I don't pretend to know what this person specifically has gone through. Everyone's story is different. You don't need to have experienced the same situation to have empathy. But I've seen this happen to people very close to me and I've seen the devastating impacts and I've gone through enough trauma for multiple lifetimes. I have ANYTHING but a "cookie cutter life".

One of the calls I responded to when I was a firefighter was assisting the ambulance with CPR. 16 year old girl overdosed her first time taking pills her friend gave her. That time she was saved, 2 years later at the age of 18 about 2 months after graduation she was found too late. Tore her family apart, the house stands vacant now, been vacant since about 2019 a year after she overdosed fatally.

This hurts … I remember running to the window every car I heard thinking she was coming to pick me up for our weekend visits only to be let down e every single time. Then one day I just stopped running to the window to look out then it turned into 16 years I hadn’t seen my mom or a phone call…. In the beginning All the calls saying “ I bought you a new this or that, and I’m on my way to get you right now” only to not show and she just disappeared one day ….im now 40yrs old and it still hurts even though I don’t show it or talk to no one about it , ever but I do have a son of my own and a wife and I have been here from the day he was born and will never make him feel the way I had to feel. Love him with all my heart , him and my wife are my world

This song hits too close to home for me. We went into foster care when I was 12 and our parents eventually got granted supervised visitation at the DHR office. And the whole line about the lady sitting in the corner taking notes is also true. Their rights were terminated and contact with us was stopped completely. Years later I found out she got clean and was living with her sister in Utah, which is where she was born. She passed on due to liver damage from the alcoholism. I never found out why she never tried to find us after we became adults. Our former social worker told us she could have tried finding us threw them since she was sober and back on track. Maybe she didn't think she had the right to come back into our lives after everything. I was never mad at her I just wanted that relationship back. But it's something I'll never get.

Someone I loved very dearly took her life by overdose, she told me she was being tormented [ not by humans ] she went to hospitals and they could not find anything wrong with her, she has been to churches to be prayed on, shamans and nothing would help with the tormenting, I was very concerned because who knows was these demons or something? I was sick and in pain in my brain and stomach when I found out she took her life, so I said I would pray for her until I heard I didn't have to pray no more, at the end of 1st month of praying when at work still in pain and sickness, for 2 minutes love, joy, and peace fell on me, then went back to the pain and sickness, I said someone is listening, after the end of the 2nd month of praying still sick and in pain I was home listening to music with my headphones and a pure golden sound of a female voice said you don't have to pray no more, so after this, I got my peace a little back but I will always remember.......peace everyone......

been a while, hope you all are doing well. since it's a mental health channel i might as well give little story of my own. all kinda downfalls in life led me to believe it's the country and it's people so i moved to the other side of the globe to australia to find a life worth living, 5 months there for it to just end up being a massive failure and finally break me fully. got home asap, therapy medications etc. first med was escitalopram actavis first 5mg, then 10mg then 20mg, didn't work. second was brintellix 10mg, didn't work. now on duloxetin, started with 60mg, now 90mg, in future 120mg, helped at first but now seems to be doing nothing. don't have the "therapy" anymore, but i should continue it soon.
