Nice video only thing I would have done differently was use a sleeve on the bar so I don’t scratch the rim not saying you did scratch it but better to be safe then have to buy someone new rims
thanks for the compliment and feedback. I actually do have a sleeve/cover on the bar to protect the rim. I used the sleeve end when sliding the tire off but did use the metal end for prying up. it didn’t make any marks but it was also a reverse mount so I knew the face was fine and the metal end grabs the lip better.
DId the face get all scratched up when taking off the machine? I see your clamp guards fell off. Or was that just paste on the rim face...It looked scratched compared to how it looked when you started. And why didn't you use the roller depressers? Is this machine similar to the derek weaver machines?
no, the face of the rim was untouched. the clamp covers sometimes get caught between the rim and tire bead and when that happens they will pop off the machine, I can just put them back on. the wheel and tire combo was too wide to be able to use my rollers which is why I didn’t use them. the Derek Weaver machine is a Chinese copy of my Corghi. best of luck!
thanks for the input! down the road I might, those tires exceeded the tire machine capabilities though which is why I had so much trouble. please keep watching my videos🙂!
the higher end Corghi machines are but ones like mine (124pro or the pro series I believe)are actually made in China I was told but are at the same level of quality control. Derek weaver are made by bright/corwei industrial LTD. corwei is a Chinese manufacturer. bright probably handles the other equipment but who knows. the Derek weaver tire machine is identical to the Corghi 124pro, I know Corghi designs their own machines which is why I believe the Derek weaver is a Chinese copy. I might be wrong, I guess the only way to know is to call Derek weaver directly and have them provide the info.

I would really consider sliding your machine away from that wall just a hair.
