  • Hey what’s up everyone in this video I will show you the tools I use to cut up tires. Now I cut these tires up because I have a small shop and truck so instead of piles of tires that take up loads of space I cut them up like this and it also saves me space in my truck so I can haul more off to the tire recycling center disposing of them properly. But you can use this method yourself for tire projects your thinking of. I used a cheap sawzall before and I only cut about 25 tires with it. The Milwaukee has cut way more then that for sure. Diablo bi-metal blades are the best for this project. This is part 2 check out part 1 if you haven’t already. Thanks for watching.

    Couple of questions.
Do all the tyres have steel bands?
Is there steel bands in the side wall?

all depends on the type of tire. Passenger tires have steel inside the more the weight they are made to carry the more the steel used. Big rig tires have a lot of steel in them. thanks for watching

Yes i have done a big rig tire with the same method 295/75r22.5 just takes more time a force. But when it comes to big rig tires i just leave them whole and take them to Recyling center that way. Thanks for watching

Why are they so easy to cut? Steel belted radials are suppose to last.

the blade makes all the difference. It took me several tries to find a method to cut a tire where i wasn't struggling that much. Steel belts radials do last on the road as long as the tire has proper air, punctures are repaired properly and you dont run the tread down to steel. Thanks for watching.

They go to the tire recycling center. The reason I cut them up like this is because I don’t have a big truck at the moment so in order to fit more tires and make the trip to the recycling center worth it I chop them up. Without cutting them I can only fit about 30 tires onto my truck bed. Cut I fit about 200 saves me trips. Thanks for watching.
