This is a devastating blow for the industry.
Until a couple years ago I had zero interest in bodybuilding. It was finding analytical channels like this and then learning about the history of bodybuilding I became interested in the sport… years later this interest has grown to me spending money on PPV’s, just like the Arnold Classic; again something I’d have never done without channels like this. Moreover, as these shows do such a terrible job at promoting themselves and the athletes that compete in them, your channels post show analysis is one of the highlights, and most enjoyable wrinkles that comes with watching them.
The industry loses in your absence but I’d just like to thank you for the time you’ve put into your channel and for the hours of enjoyment you’ve given to fans like me.
    All the best 👊🏽

The bodybuilding industry/IFBB/Arnold classic etc. need a better understanding of what UA-camrs like yourself do to grow their sport. It’s seems so petty that they copy right strike videos that promote their events/their athletes. UA-camrs covering bodybuilding bring more eyes to the sport of bodybuilding then any of those organizations. This a big loss to the entire sport of bodybuilding. Thank you for very extremely researched videos, they provided details seldom seen. Also, thank you for leaving this channel for your viewers to enjoy! Unfortunately the writing was on the wall. Wow what a great move from the Arnolds PR team. Terminating the LAST couple of channels that still actively keep the sport going. Great job. Just the right thing to make bodybuilding even less popular and followed. Very very sad. They give us some shitty livestreams for high prices and even afterwards dont want any free exposure to the public as promotion.

Thanks for all the content you’ve made man.
You’ve easily been the most consistent and rational bodybuilding commentator in this space for several years.
I’m a huge fan of bodybuilding. But I also would be okay with it fading away because the promoters, celebrities, and basically everyone else involved with the exception of a few people have ZERO interest in growing the sport.
These people would rather be the kings of a very unpolished and unprofessional competition than grow it into something respectable and risk their positions. It’s selfishness of the highest degree.
There is not a single event worth paying for. They’ll all in dogshit quality and they’re generally really boring. Nothing is done to improve lighting, overall entertainment factor and utilization of big figures in the sport like Cbum.
I’ve wanted to make a commentary channel for sometime but I’m afraid I’d get attacked for talking about people like Steven Weinberger and the Manion brothers for holding back the sport. It just doesn’t seem worth it.
The deep rooted issues in the sport will never be addressed. It’s a shame

      Dear Pretentious man,
There is no reason for your multiple paragraphs. They're all the same topic.😆 almost as cringe as " in this space". I'd stop saying that if I were you. Not what you think. Stupid people love to sat that cause they heard it somewhere and ran with it. We dont use that in college or in medical school. Or in law school. I promise you. Just on youtube. Lol is there anyone who ISNT on Adderall? This is crazy.

@@ingaleerus4577 I'm not a native english speaker, so you may be right. Nevertheless, it seems to me quite pretentious to lecture someone on how to divide his text in paragraph in a YT comment.
Again, I do agree on the paragraph tip, but reading a wall of text on the phone is harder than read one period at a time.

One of the main reasons sports like bodybuilding and strongman never grow to mainstream is that the promoters don't understand decentralized promotion and are holding on to their little ppv money for dear life.

I feel like everything I want to say has been addressed by the comments... but you brought me to bodybuilding. From being part of the public who thought of it as this weird niche of "sports" , I began to love bodybuilding through stumbling upon your content. Your videos are the most bingeable and rewatchable bodybuilding content on youtube. Thank you for everything you have contributed, and enjoy your personal life to the fullest. ✌🏼

I haven't been a fan of bodybuilding or your channel for the longest but your analysis videos on the 90s bodybuilding scene and ur annual takes on the mr olympia have been one of the only videos I can count on to really keep me entertained. Thanks for your great content and I would also love to watch some videos of philosophy with you narrating it.

Ride off into the sunset without regret. You’ve done more for bodybuilding on UA-cam than anyone else. You introduced me to bodybuilding. You’ll be fondly missed, and I wish you nothing but the best.

Best bodybuilding analysis by some way and I’ve seen a lot over the years. Interesting how you don’t have to be an ex pro to give effective critique and observation but you do need an eye for detail and a way of explaining things eruditely and concisely as demonstrated by your excellent best body parts series. All the best and thank you for all the great content over the years.

    all the best to you

Your analyses on bodybuilding were extremely insightful. It’s clear that you have excellent critical thinking skills. You’re precise and concise with how you explain things, and you’re nearly always accurate to the truth, in my opinion. It’s funny, I was a philosophy major. I don’t recall exactly when, but I know it’s happened on at least one occasion, where I was watching your videos and thought to myself “This guy would do well in a philosophy class.” 😂 It makes sense now. In my philosophical studies I focused on ethics, and through that, I ascertained the most impactful information on how I have decided to live. Though I am long removed from academic philosophy, the core moral principles I developed are the most important thing in my life, and likely always will be until I die. Create a philosophy channel and I’m there!

Thanks that's an interesting compliment. As it happens I did take a bunch of philosophy courses back in university - could've minored in it. But not really a fan of the academic side of that anymore.

Years flew by. I found your channel in late 2016. When LuiMarco was on his way out. Watched every video ever since. It was a blast. Thing that especially sticks in my mind is when you revisited all the 2010s Arnold Classics in the run up to the 2018 AC. I always appreciated the more thoughtful videos and the training analysis. Which added to the balanced feel of this channel. There sure is a massive culture change in bb and life in general with social media. For me Tom, you became the literal voice of bodybuilding. Not Bob Cicherillo, not NSP, not Shawn Ray. When i think about BB i think about this channel. And considering you did all of this without a secure pay its absolutely remarkable. Thank you Tom! I miss this channel already. Get To The Choppa! Cheers from the Eu. ✌
