I’m pretty sure this was almost scrapped, and omocat wanted an excuse to put in the real world fights, tags, and emotions that she already made. Getting rid of stuff you’ve made is tough.

So, fun fact, the emotions mechanic is in this as well. So all the characters can get happy, sad, or angry. Except Sunny. He is immune to happy. Okay maybe not a fun fact.

the end of this sequence made me feel sad more than anything. sunny being with his friends and at peace for the first time in forever was reassuring but it also shows how much he truly idealizes his friends
God this fight was miserable. The first time I fought him Recyclepath INSTANTLY murdered Sunny and forced me to reset. In the next fight, I had Sunny play defense initially but then let him attack only to have him be killed in one hit AGAIN. Which made me believe that Sunny had to play defense the whole fight by abusing Persist every single turn. And this plus Hero constantly healing everyone only let Kel and Aubrey actually attack, if you can keep them both alive, dragging this encounter out far longer than intended because they don't have any way to buff their attack stats. I really liked the idea of having the real world kids in a Headspace type fight, but screw this boss fight in particular.
Kind of sad but a nice detail is that Sunny is significantly paler then in every other image in the overworld, which made be an indication that he's not entirely sunny at that time, he's omori, since he's in his daydreams, if not dissociations again.

ok , but Aubrey herself said it in a event "SUNNY , you look a little pale... promise to me that you will go out more when you leave, ok? *blushed emotion" There is a lot of little dialogues in the final day if you just keep running around with the gang So i dont think its like something todo with OMORI , its just him not taking care of himself very well

spoilers Not really, if you’re far enough into the game (I think), she made a shield around herself because she believed that nobody cared about Mari’s ‘suicide’, then a bit later realizes everyone had different ways to heal, she wasn’t necessarily all “I don’t care shuddup” she just presented herself that way so nobody could she her suffering.
Yeah i was so sad when i got to the real world and saw that aubrey was like that makes me remind that reality is dissapointing. also makes me even more sad when sunny goes to the dream world after seeing the real world aubrey the dream world aubrey becomes even more sweet, sunny is trying to cope with the pain that aubrey is evil now
Out of all the fights in the game, this took the most tries to win. They kept targeting Sunny with attacks that would one-shot KO him, so I basically couldn't use anything with him other than Persist

Man my strat was to keep reloading the nearby save till I get Aubrey's skill to instantly kill the Recyclist. 22 attempts later and still not working so I just accepted my faith and lose.
When i was doing this, I was fighting the second recycultist and i was made sunny use focus while the kel encuraged and the rest guarded them and the recycultist just attacked sunny and it hit in the heart and killed sunny and u just stared at the screen trying to process what just happened even though i've seen it happen so many times
theoretically, if one didn’t use their pepper spray in the hooligan fight, would it still be in their inventory during the recycultist boss fight (unsure since the entire area is part of sunny’s daydream)
