She casually says she had bruising but that was about it. I guess that’s not a big deal either? My heart sank listening to the SW talking about her injuries and her own mother is nonchalant. How is it humanly possible to afflict abuse on a little child my brain cannot comprehend this. Horrendous suffering and neglect of intervention. I found it interesting in some of her choice of words…I thought she was “dead” asleep. The nerve 😡🤬🤯
If you’re “checking pupils” and using words like “posturing” then you know enough about the severity of the situation to get that child to a hospital immediately. This is awful.
The nonchalant conversation to the officer by the social worker just seems bizarre to me. She’s admitting they received reports 6 days earlier and has picture of the child’s injuries. What am I missing?
Not making excuses, but those social workers are overworked...she did come off careless and looked over the absued child's pictures like it was a family album...weird lady. Social workers get too many cases. The only one to honestly blame is these so-called trashy moms who keep birthing children they don't want.
I see this crap everyday. I work in the court system and I get so frustrated when DCFS doesn’t do something when a child is being legitimately abused. I see the parents get their kids even though it’s proven they’re abusive. The system wants to keep families together. Well, sometimes that doesn’t work and it’s wrong.
Unfortunately a lot of it is the system itself. Bio parents are considered a higher priority than the child themself, and courts will remove s thriving child away from the foster family where they were loved, and placed back in the hands of the parents where they often revert right back to being abused. It's awful. CPS often doesn't have the authority or resources to act, as many jurisdictions require hard evidence before they're allowed to do anything, which has to be concrete. And I'm talking concrete, as in "common sense says the images on this phone are of the child's injuries, but because her face is not shown we cannot legally assume that it's the same child".
You cant demand the Gov get involved, just because something bad happened. 90% of the time, CPS being involved, makes the life of the child exponentially worse. If CPS acted in the way you want them to, because you can't think past your own emotions, there will be countless families being broken up, and destroyed. It is not a small thing, to have the Gov in your personal life, let alone your family. It is tragic that there are bad people in the world, but demanding the heavy hand of Gov helps no one, least of all the children you want to help.
@@CherrrrBear theres many that dont try. Ive seen many cases where workers have failed children by pure laziness.
They want to keep them together so they don’t have to spend the money paying foster families.
I saw the opposite (personally).
@@MKUltra42 interesting analysis- I never took this into account before.

When my daughter was around 18 months old she scooted herself off the kitchen counter while sitting in her table top chair. She fell on her head and passed out.
