Wow! This is fundamental ... thank you, Troy 🥰
You’re welcome, appreciate it
Thankyou Troy, will practice these moves today at the range.
Thanks Adrian, appreciate it!
Amazing ! What a tip. This allows for the shoulder to move like a Ferris wheel vs a carousel
Thank you Vijay, glad it helped you out. Cheers
Many years ago I used a 'chopping the tree' drill but never fully understood why it worked. Now I do as that baseball drill looks very similar. Great work Troy.
Thanks Steve, yes it's definitely a good one to practice. Cheers
Yes. Very good video. My only swing thought is to start getting the lead hip out of the way with rotation and leave the arms "up there". Drops the club into the slot and promotes a rotational release.
Thanks Martin, yes that sounds like you've got it just right. Cheers
@@Hittingitsolid it's only taken me 30 years 🤣
@@martinhardman9288 Yep, I know that feeling :)
I’ve recently noticed a positive correlation between warming up with a baseball swing and solid ball striking. This video gives me hope that I’m on the right track. Thanks, Troy.
Thanks, yes I agree. They are definitely benefits to it for sure. Cheers
Troy- hope you’re well- what’s the best setup with the lower arm to start- I’m a lefty and a 6 handicap and am quilt of flipping it when I get off track
Thanks
Jack
Hey Troy, could you do a video on the path of the lead arm? or provide some instruction on what the lead arm is doing in transition and down swing? i have been trying to figure out why i draw the ball so much and i noticed that in transition as i shift my weight to the left my shoulders/arms/club all want to come towards the ball and if let my arms come out towards the ball i put a lot of spin on the ball. Conversely if i try to keep my left arm more down in the downswing so that the arm is closer to my body (perpendicular to the ground) that i get to impact more square. I'm not sure if this is something that is unique perhaps to my swing or if this is a known concept. Cheers!
Hey Teddy, I'll see what I can do. Cheers
Thanks Troy. Great information once again. Quick question. What is the optimum finish position? Some great players finish with their hands high with the golf club more across their backs. Others finish with their hands much lower with their club head pointing more towards the sky. Is one more preferable than the other. Thanks
Thanks Joel, there isn't one optimal position as every golfer is different. I think the one commonality is to be balanced with the trail heel in the air.
@@Hittingitsolid Thank you very much. Happy golfing!
@@joelbrooks814 Thanks Joel.
feels so odd and i slice every shot? as when i square the club face that right arm is always higher
Hey Andrew, something that you need to practice. In your downswing always feel the right elbow is lower than the left. Does that make sense?
@@Hittingitsolid it makes complete sense yes but that swing just keeps the face open ?
@@Hittingitsolid i feel i HAVE to have a high right elbow in order to close the face
@@BondtilliGroup No, that shouldn't be the case.
@@BondtilliGroup It sounds like you may have some wrist structure issue. Too weak a grip perhaps, and maybe even the lead wrist is cupped too much at the top of the backswing.
You should feel the clubface squaring up early in the downswing. Feel like your lead wrist is flat at the top of the backswing. That should help also. Cheers
😁👍
Thank you very much Milorad :)
